This book has good full page illustrations of uniforms for both armies, with nice descriptions in the text. However, the focus seemed to be almost entirely on the Eastern Theater; for example, there are four sections about the Confederate cavalry, all of which cover the Army of Northern Virginia and three of which discuss the Gettysburg Campaign. Also, the sections fail to focus on its topic, like the section on the Confederate Marines; the last half of the section mentions that marines served on the Sumter but it only covers the actions of the ship itself without mentioning the marines.
