I killed mindlessly for 15 years.

A curse trapped me inside my werewolf, and I became the perfect killing puppet for the warlock controlling me.
Screams of my victims haunt me.
The phantom warmth of blood heats my hands.
And guilt eats away at my psyche.
I don’t deserve love.
I don’t deserve a mate.
Who could ever love a monster like me?
Ru does.
My little lucky charm from another planet.
No matter how much I warn her.
No matter how I try to scare her.
No matter how many times I threaten her.
She stays.
But she doesn’t understand my kind.
Werewolves are violent creatures.
And if my wolf doesn’t get his way, it isn’t just her heart I’ll be ripping out, but mine too.
Which, in 14 days, is exactly what will happen.
A night of violence and lust awaits, and I’m doubtful she can survive me.
Our lives are on the line, but so is my brother’s.
14 days to find the treatment for his sickness.
14 days to survive on an unknown planet.
14 days to see if I kill my mate.

The full moon is rising.
And I wish it wouldn’t.

“Happiness is so hard for people to find and to be able to give it freely, so purely, willingly, is beautiful.”

As I’ve been telling all of my friends, I didn’t know I needed a romance between a werewolf and leprechaun until I had it in my little grabby hands. Truly, I was in awe and I thought I was prepared, ready for this book… I was NOT, in fact, prepared for this book. Honestly, I’m still a little stunned, even more excited about the coming books. There’s so many characters that I was just like, “Oh yes, I need more of YOU!” I was fully captivated and there’s so much I want to tell you about this book, but this is the second book in the series and I don’t want to spoil anything for you.

Anwyll hasn’t had the easiest life. In fact, from the age of fifteen, he’s spent the entire time enslaved by the evil warlock, Brenden Hall. He’s been forced to commit terrible things until one day, things change for him and his brother. Found and freed by the the Monreaux Coven, Anwyll has the chance a new start. However, things aren’t so simple. Anwyll is plagued by the memories of his crimes and not his brother, Aziel is falling to a sickness that causes werewolves to go insane. Ru or Badru has found her luck yet and that’s a big problem. Ru is running out of time with only two years left to find her luck or to be casted out to the Unwanted Lands. No pressure, right? But when Ru starts hearing a far off sound, something close to a howl, one that only she can hear, Ru risks everything to find out what seems to be pulling her. Together, this unlikely pair with depart on an adventure like no other and in the process become stronger mates for each other.

“Leprechauns, once they find their luck, they like to flaunt their success. Some leprechauns like jewelry, some like cash, some like cars, actual gold, hell, I’ve seen some that want a ton of fresh meat.”

Let me tell you, the adventure Ru and Anwyll go on was fantastic! It has everything! There’s smexy times, there’s saving unicorn, giant sea monsters who are friendly and want to see them dead, there’s elves and giant, there’s fruit that drugs your senses, near death moments, and did I mention the spicy times yet! There was so much packed into this wild ride of an adventure. What I liked most was that the romance and steamy times didn’t take away from the adventure too much. I was worried that all the romance and spicy times would over shadow it as a whole, but I’m glad it didn’t. Even more so because we meet some amazing characters. There’s this void creature we meet later on that instantly reminded me of The Suriel (if you know, you know). It was a really fun time.

“The centaur next to me chuckles, “The void’s are better than you think. Don’t let his darkness fool you. He has soft spots.”

Speaking of so many characters in this book, there are literally so many fantastical creatures in this book including appearances from The Four Horsemen! When I tell you I’m so excited for future books, I mean it with my whole chest. This book gives us a few glimpses at possible mate match ups and I’m very thrilled by it. Not to mention, so much love went into a lot of these characters. We get good chunks of detail about a lot of the characters and I was pleasantly surprised by that. Sometimes with appearances of future characters, you don’t get a lot of details, but this book gives you just the right amount so you can paint a pretty clear picture of them. I love it! Truly, I’m bubbly at the seams to see who’s story we’re going to get next!

“I’m thinking that’s why mates exist, to help them through the darkest times, and hopefully bring them a little light.”

I briefly want to mentioned that I pulled a lot of quotes from this book, too! I usually pull a lot of quotes when I read books, but this one I was pulling 3-4 quotes every single page. There’s just so much there and there’s so many moments that I had to make sure I highlighted, and quoted. It made me so happy and excited, honestly.

“Easy? Finding love, no matter your species is not easy. Finding a mate, is one in a million, one that I never thought would happen for me. Love is not easy for us, it is born, it is made, what makes love possible is that our souls are tethered, allowing love to bloom – effortlessly, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t take effort.”

Though there was so much I loved, adored, and cherished about this book, there were quite a few things that just didn’t work for me as a reader. Starting off with my biggest issue, Anwyll and Ru’s relationship. This is not only a surprise to me, but I’m a little salty. There were many things that played a factor into why this couple just doesn’t work for me. Anwyll as a whole character just didn’t work for me to begin with. I’m always a little more critical whenever an author decides to make a character have trauma/PTSD portrayal/representation and while I thought the execution was handled well, it was the aftermath that I had issues with. I don’t know at what point in this book the trauma/PTSD just up and vanished without any actual work being done, but at some point Anwyll went from starting the process of working through his trauma to suddenly it just wasn’t there, didn’t exist, zilch, nothing. This bothered me immensely and I would have liked a better execution of it instead of it just vanishing into nothingness or writing it off as “it fixed itself off page.” So already I had issues with Anwyll, but then we get Ru and Anwyll together and it just kind of fell apart for me. It was the lack of communication outside of steamy times that irked me. We’re supposed to believe these two are a couple and are building a healthy relationship, and it’s the opposite of that. I love all of the communication that took place during the steamy times, fantastic, love it, but I would have liked to see them be more open and honest with each other during the whole adventure instead of one of them trying to run away, someone gets closed off, or they keep hurting each other until they realized they messed up. As a whole, it was frustrating and didn’t work for me.

My other issue was repetitiveness. I’m not a fan of repetitiveness in books and I’ll always point it out in reviews, and this book is no different. There’s a lot of repetitiveness throughout this book. There’s repetitiveness from Anwyll’s character for constantly running away instead of dealing with problems head on and then we get repetitiveness from Ru with her ‘oh chauns’ saying especially when it no longer makes sense for her character. It was really frustrating on my part. This is more so a me thing as a reader and something that I easily noticed. So take this little bit with a grain of salt.

“Communication is key. We won’t get anywhere in this relationship, besides dead, if we don’t talk.”

Overall, there’s many, many things I want to say and talk about with you, but this is the second book in a series and I don’t want to spoil you. What I will say is that I’m excited for the future of this series. With everything that we discover in the book, all the characters we’re introduced to, the fate of Aziel hanging by threads, literally everything in this book – truly, there’s so much to be anticipating! If you haven’t given this series a chance, I highly recommend giving it a taste for yourself and if you end up liking it, let me know. I always want to connect with other readers over mutual books we’re enjoying!

This is a story of a werewolf and a leprechaun and their subsequent adventure to gather up magical ingredients for a potion to cure a werewolf sickness.

That's it. That's the plot.

Thank you for reading my review.

Oh. Do you want to know more? 🤭🤭🤭 I thought you'd never asked.

The story quickly started with a flashback to 15 years ago, when our hero (the werewolf) was captured by an evil warlock alongside his brother and forced into a curse in which both of them were absolutely being controlled by the warlock and being sent on a killing spree for 15 years.

In the current present time, the brother had fallen into a werewolf sickness, which happened when they hadn't met their fated mates. During which, soon after, our still traumatised (I mean, really) hero met his fated mate. A leprechaun!

This sounds like a very normal beginning. Just you wait. The end will burn your panties off.

This book probably has one of the most well-balanced sexual dynamics between the couple. Our hero (the human side) is a submissive through and through. And it took me a while to catch this since everyone said he's an alpha. A broken alpha but yes, still an alpha. Yeahhh about that, he's a sub. And our girl is a dom if I've ever seen one. The praise kink I've heard about? Yeah, it's the girl giving it to him. I mean. Pshhhhh, *mind blown*.

However, the hero (the werewolf one) is an absolute unit of an alpha. I mean.

“My mate is nothing but a hole for me to fill tonight. You do as I say, do you understand me?”

I dig my claws into her outer thigh. “I want you to be in so much pain—“ I yank her head back and lick the trail of blood flowing from the mating mark. ”—you will feel it for days and the only way you will feel relief is if I’m inside you again.”

How can I not *cough* love him? Because in the end, it was the same man, and this dual personality is just delicious if you ask me. And also there's pegging here.

What? You're wondering about the worldbuilding?

It's pretty good. Not as well atmospheric as I wished for. It's kinda a surface plot thing. You see a thing, you explain it. But how it comes to be? We don't know. There's also the issue of info dumping and convenient coincidences in some of the pages. And deux ex machine trope. Heck, that might be the lucky thing from being a leprechaun but it made some of their achievements not as satisfying as they can be.

The mating? *chef's kiss* It's high-quality corn and I was fanning myself throughout. Now, that's a good hunt!

All in all, I'm surprised this series didn't get the attention that I think it deserves. I mean, I've read more boring stuff from other famous authors. Not to say this book is perfect because it's definitely not. It could be a little too cheesy at times (and remember the convenient coincidences? I hate them). But overall, it's a pretty nice read.

This story opened up so many possibilities. The world's that have been created, the characters brought in, it's all setting us up for one amazing ride. This story gets intense, heartbreaking, and dramatic. We see and feel the pain that Anwyll has experienced throughout his life. He has this constant struggle within himself. His past haunts him and he has to learn to move on from it, to not allow it to consume him. We get to watch him learn and grow as he basically learns how to live as a grown man/werewolf for the first time. It's a beautiful struggle. I loved watching him experience things for the first time. I loved watching him learn about what he needs to do to survive. Especially when it came to his emotions. Being suppressed for so long, everything is brand-new and seeing it all for the first time, you can feel what he's going through.
Then you have Ru. This girl is something else. She is full of fire and determination. She doesn't allow anyone to keep her from what she wants. She's strong and doesn't fear her mate. She can stand up to him and submit and I think that's something that makes their bond unique. She is full of love and she has such a pure heart. She sees the good in others, especially when they don't see it themselves.
These two combined give us something amazing.
It was wonderfully told and I felt that we got everything thing we needed, plus all the other things we wanted. Read the authors note. Like, for real. These two meet and are thrown into heat. The story is full of steam. Full. It's a constant that they also have to fight with because of what is happening around them. It makes for challenges but these two have a reason bigger than themselves to survive.

Super spicy adventure fated mates story

This had a different vibe than book one, with the MCs traveling between realms. Ru was an interesting mix of soft-hearted and fierce, with her switch fem-dom energy. Anwyll was broken in so so many ways and needed someone patient to help him grow. Their chemistry was fire. The world building was solid.

Spice: 5/5

Triggers: attempted SA, torture, murder, murder of child, mind control/possession, suicidal ideation, child abandonment, grief, genocide, near drowning, near buried alive

Okayyyyyy. So here's my problem...I really like the ensemble and the world created in these books but this one in particular was too long and that first 3/4 was kind of torturous. Anwyll was straight up unlikable throughout most of it. Anwyll and Ru together was A LOT like too much most of the time for me. I really had a hard time caring about their story and just wanted to get back to the crew as a whole. I think I'll try the next book and see how that goes but it will be make or break for me with this series.

Get ready to have an emotional rollercoaster ride in this book with twists/turns, suspense, heartbreak, multi universe jumping, fated mates, and a lot of hawt spicy moments to round this one out! These two characters are put through an emotional wringer in this one that will have you all over the place with laughs, heartache, and combustible heat levels that will leave you warm and tingly. So remember, if you have any sensitivities check the TW beforehand. If not, just dive into this unbelievable world that only this author can bring to life!"

Anwyll and Ru stole my heart in this one. They are perfectly matched for one another with being able to lead or submit when the other needs. If you like a dominant female who can take the lead as needed but submit to her beast, then you will definitely love Ru! Anwyll is such a complex character from his tragic past and his tortuous thoughts that only Ru can give him that extra boost of confidence and love that calms his beast inside. All I can say is these two will have you consuming the pages as fast as you can. There is no filler fluff in this book it's action packed from start to finish.

I absolutely loved that the author gives you glimpses of several different universes and creatures in this book that had me heavily invested in every character in this one! She brings so much vivid imagery to life once again that you can't help but feel like her words take you inside an epic movie reel playing out page after page. She is a definite One-Click author for me, that never disappoints to bring a thorough thought out story that will capture your attention till the very end, that leaves you wanting even more.

So yes, I highly recommend this book/series, because yes this is an interconnected storyline. It just follows different couples in each book, so you definitely need to read prior books to fully comprehend what this amazing world is that she brings to life. A Definite Must Read for 2023!! Can't wait for more from this amazingly talented author, so make sure you stalk her everywhere because she is one you need to follow!

REVIEW:

I enjoyed this next installment from the Shadow Cove series! This is such a fun and sexy series with such a huge amount of different creatures and worlds. I love the world building and variety of creatures in the series.

I loved Anwyll and Ru a lot. Both of them are great characters.

Anwyll can be self loathing at times because of feeling guilty for what Brenden made him do under his spell. But throughout the book he goes through a lot of healing. And I liked him other than that.

Ru is strong and sweet and I loved her personality. She’s all-in when it comes to Anwyll and I loved that about her.

They are both also switches in the bedroom. So there are some scenes where Ru dominates Anwyll and others where he dominates her. I actually loved this! Normally I’m not much of a fan of the whole femdomme kink, but the switching dynamic worked for me. I think I actually appreciated Anwyll giving control over to Ru more after seeing how dominant and powerful he can actually be. It makes it more sexy in my opinion.

And speaking of the sex, it was smoking hot again. I loved nearly every kink introduced (except maybe pegging, which I’m not a huge fan of). But I loved the CNC, predator/prey play, dirty talk, degradation, praise, knotting, etc. So much good sexy times!

Aside from the sex, I also loved the story too. I’m a HUGE sucker for journeys and adventures in books. So these two traveling dimensions for the ingredients was fascinating and fun.

The only thing I’d say is that the book was a bit long. The journey kept it from dragging too much. But I think it probably could’ve been cut down a tad. I still enjoyed it though. It’s just that books over 600 pages make me twitchy because if the book is slower paced it can be harder to enjoy it. This book was what I would call medium paced so it was alright.

Now I’m looking forward to Prince Cailian, Rarity, and the Prince of Dragons book next! I’m ECSTATIC that it’s a MMF book! Hell yas! After that, I’m wondering if Dottie and Drayce will end up together? They seem rather cozy. Then of course we need books for Atreyu, Severide, Reuel, etc., and Aziel! I really hope he ends up okay.

Overall it was a fun and sexy book! I’m really loving this series and the world created here. I would love for more than one book a year to come out though. :( I know that’s what the norm used to be, but I’m so spoiled now with authors coming out with 2-3 books a year now. lol Still, I’m here for it and looking forward to the other characters getting their books too.

I am super invested in this series, so I was always going to read this book, but it would be lying it I said that the “alpha male who likes to submit” part of the description didn’t make me super excited to read this book. I’m a sucker for these types of dynamics, so I knew I needed this book in my life.

This was such a brillant read. I love the world building in this series and the world is just so immersive and evocative, I feel like i’m really there with the characters. And as I mentioned before, the romance in this book was just wonderful and I adored the relationship dynamic between the main characters.

This was such a wonderful read.

Hold on I’m just gonna need to step into this cold shower…ahhh ok now I’m ready. THIS.BOOK. Holy Moley it’s spicy. Honestly I don’t think I have yet to read another book with this much spice. It’s pretty epic. Like whew!

Alright moving on this is Anwyll and Ru’s story and what a story it is. You can’t help but immediately fall in love with Anwyll and empathize with his traumatic and tragic life. But for someone to go through all that he has and carry the amount of love in him that he has for everyone important in his life is pretty amazing. Ru is just exactly what Anwyll needs and she adds a really fun and loving element to the book. She completes Anwyll in every way possible, she helps and heals and it’s beautiful.

I love the adventure in the book taking Ru and Anwyll to new worlds and dimensions so that he can attempt to save his brothers life. The addition of every known mythical creature I’ve ever read about is kind of my favourite part. I have read books with werewolves, vampires and fae but now we’re adding in demons, leprechauns, elves, Minotaurs, mermaids, kraken….you name it they’re in it and I’m 100% here for it all. I’m a total sucker for the whole fated mates trope and this series delivers. I can’t wait for the next instalment and to see whose story we’ll get to experience this time.

Eternally Cursed is a great read, I started and couldn’t stop and to me that is the mark of a great book. Januarys’ writing style is smooth and easy to get lost in. Just a warning when I say there’s lots of spice, I’m not joking. So get out your portable fans and grab an ice cold beverage to get you through some of the spicier chapters but don’t worry you’ll LOVE IT!

Thank you so much to January Rayne for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Are you ready to continue the journey in the shallow cove dimensions? Because I've been waiting for a year, and it didn't disappoint! While I may not be big on werewolves, I didn't care here (or maybe I found a new obsession with them), as I loved Anwyll and Ru.

The book was much longer than the first one (or at least I had that feeling), as I was reading the book for new days. I did feel that the adventure that Ru and Anwyll went on was a bit too long, but it was enjoyable, especially with all the spice going on! If you've seen the author's note at the beginning of the book, everything that was in it came true, and I haven't been more excited for all those spicy scenes!

There is a LOT of character development going on, so you can never say that the book was just smut without any plot. The dynamic between Anwyll and Ru was exceptional. Them switching between being dominant and submissive was great to read about, and trust me you'll love when Anwyll is all submissive and Ru takes charge! And don't get me started on their mating scene or that werewolf dong! Those descriptions and scenes should be illegal, but as smut obsessed person I devoured them and will definitely need more and soon!

Rant/spoiler section

You know the drill by now if you want to read my rant and are not afraid to get some spoilers read on!

I loved the book (A LOT), but I did have some minor issues with it! and the biggest one was why did we need to have Ru and Maven related? The whole scene with Ru's dad was kind of extra if you ask me! I guess it's necessary for future plot development, but I honestly didn't think there was a need for our female leads to be related!

I've mentioned this before but the adventure was really long, and with all the new characters that Ru and Anwyll met I kind of lost track at some point. Don't get me wrong it was awesome, but maybe it could have been cut a bit short.

Overall, this was an awesome continuation of the series, plus we got to see Maven and Alexander, and we got to meet our leads for the next book! (and I'm way too excited for that, it's gonna be MMF!) and considering what we've learned from this book it'll be something explosive!

I received an ARC for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Holy smokes. Okay here we go.

If you haven't read the first book and two novellas in this series, stop and go read those first. This book is about different characters than the first book, but they are not really stand-alones.

I'll be honest in saying I was kind of skeptical in the beginning when I learned this book was about a werewolf, Anwyll, and a ... wait for it... leprechaun, Ru! But she was not some creepy little thing with flaming orange hair that wears nothing but green.

Anwyll has to find a way to save his brother from the werewolf sickness, but most of the rare ingredients they need for the cure are from a different planet. The planet that Ru, his mate, happens to be from. Ru and Anwyll spend most of the book on a wild and dangerous adventure in an unknown land battling and befriending all sorts of creatures along the way to collect the ingredients needed.

As these mates hunt down the rare ingredients, they are approaching a full moon where their natural instincts require a mating. That means we get LOTS of spice leading up to the full moon and holy smokes, we get one intense mating scene. 🥵

The world building was SO well done, but there are a lot of characters and creatures to keep track of - so make sure you're mentally prepared for that. For me personally, I probably would have preferred this book be a little bit shorter - the adventure was so fun, the world building was fantastic, the spice was hot and plentiful - so you really do get the best of both worlds, it just makes for a longer book!

Overall, I love this series and will forever be dying to read both Dottie's and Atreyu's stories. 😍

dnf at 50%. would give 0 stars if possible. horrible horrible ‘book’ that reads more as a script for p*rn than an actual book. 600ish pages with probably 550 pages being straight sex scenes, 50 pages of any kind of ‘plot’

the first book was also pretty horrible however it was only 200 pages and the authors first full novel so i gave them some leeway. however this really is just coming off as someone who watched twilight and wrote a half assed fanfic or something. half of the intimate scenes there is no build up, no character development, mostly just ‘my god i have to f*ck you right now’

also, let’s please talk about how the author apparently loves to make the women all small yet ‘very well endowed’ or multiple references to how tight they are, gross. meanwhile the men are all huge dudes both in height and manhood who don’t always ask for consent ’because they’re mates’ with solid rock hard abs. because there’s no other body type. many times when describing characters it comes off as how a h*rny man would describe people.

also any sort of ‘plot’ is usually in regards to ‘finding a cure for someone so they can find their mate’ because all people live for apparently is procreation. also there never seems to be just getting to know each other? it’s just meet, one falls in love, and then boom gotta make a family

Again, entertaining, but even less plot than with the first book. I expected this to be a continuation of the Monreaux’s story, but this was really about the werewolf Anwyll and his mating process. So yeah, purely porn on paper, nothing else going on. Filthy, brutal smut at that. This didn’t need to be that long. This book feels very empty and the very repetitive smut got boring after a while.

ETERNALLY CURSED 🐺

ENG/ITA REVIEW

ENG

Volume two of the Shallow Cove Series has been a very well welcome confirmation of this author’s brilliant talent. Not only the narrative is very focused on the characters growth and love story, but also the world-building is precise and amazingly addictive.

BLURB
Anwyll has been a lycan slave to an evil warlock for many years. Now free and member of Lex Monreaux’s clan, he’s the possibility to find himself again, but bad memories plague him and the sickness that’s taking his brother has him worried.
Until Ru comes. She’s a leprechaun from another planet and Anwyll’s fated mate. Together they’re stronger and ready to start a dangerous journey towards the potion that could make Anwyll’s brother better.
But he’s not ready to fully accept himself after the atrocities he did. Plus, the full moon is closer and nothing could stop him from claiming his mate.

I’m totally, completely in love with Shallow Cove dimension. This paranormal, gothic world of mythical creatures is original and surprising and very well written. I love every new being that comes to the clan and I love that they live all together. Anwyll and his brother are lycans that have been saved by Lex, a vampire.

What a conflicted being sweet Anwyll is! He’s caring and protective but afraid all his lack of knowledge about love and life will hurt his mate. While his human form is submissive, his wolf is a total Alpha. And this struggle is fascinating and addictive, especially in the hot scenes shared with Ru. They’re not just hot, but scorching.

Also, the element of an on the road story has been an amazing surprise. While looking for the ingredients that are going to save Anwyll’s brother, they meet a lot of wondrous creatures with their own mythology. They’re fascinating. Also, the full moon is approaching, Ru is going into heat and Anwyll, though sweet, cannot stop his primal side that wants to claim and scar her.

I read a lot, but here I’ve been surprised by the novelty of January’s plot and writing, which is fresh and fluid. I hugely thank her for the ARC opportunity and I wish all the best for her fantastic creativity. Keep going!

RATE: 5/5

ITA

.
L’elemento on the road fa la differenza.

Need more now!

The Monreaux clan is ever changing. Alex and Maven are expecting twins. Maven is a strong and powerful witch descendant from the Wildes family. Now she needs to find a way to stop the sickness that is taking over both Aziel and Anwyll. They are both werewolves that were saved after being controlled by an evil warlock for the past 15 years. Both need to find their mates soon, before the sickness takes over and they go mad.

After Aziel begs Anwyll to lock him down in the catacombs to keep him and the rest of the coven safe, Anwyll begins to feel himself also slipping. Until a sweet, honey like scent comes to him. And he shifts to his werewolf and runs for the Cove.

Ru is a leprechaun who is down on her luck. She is addicted to scratcher cards as she tries to find her luck. When out on the beach with her best friend Mannix, she hears a mournful howl. She looks down the beach and asks her friend if he also heard it. When he says no, she hears it again and takes off. Mannix runs after her but cannot stop her. After another sad howl she jumps into the Cove.

When Anwyll reaches the coves he sees something come to the surface. He jumps in and finds a beautiful woman and as he brushes her wet hair from her face, and instantly he knows she is his mate. As he pulls her from the water, she is not breathing. He howls as he tries chest compressions, and then pulls her to him and runs to the mansion. As the coven run outside to help, he growls as his Alpha tries to take her. Then Alex turns to the females to help bring her back to life.

When Ru comes to, she tells them who she is and how she somehow made through a portal between their planets. When Anwyll lets her know they are actually mates, she already knew. She felt it immediately. She feels like this is home.

When Maven gets with the coven to tell them what she found in the grimoire to save Anwyll and his brother, both Anwyll and Ru are set out on a dangerous adventure to get the items needed for the potion. Also Anwyll wants to have Ru feel safe with him, if they are ever to mate.

So incredible!!! I loved all of the new characters and the story surrounding each of them. I can't wait for more!!! Loved the first two books. Way to go January Rayne!!

Enjoy

Okay go with me here: it gives Twilight in the best possible way.
Anwyll (very Edward Cullen): “I’m a monster nobody could ever love me I’m a tortured poet I’m sad I’m unlovableeeee”
Ru (very Bella Swan): “………so anyway I’m excited to get railed later and I already love you.”
Anwyll: “no you don’t I ruined your lifeeeeeee”
Ru: “no you literally didn’t, card carrying monster fucker over here.”
Anwyll: “…..YAY!!!!”

As insufferable as that may sound, this story is completely NOT! They healed their traumas together and proved their love wasn’t just fated, but there is still effort that needs to be put in!

I loved their little adventure together to save his brother, for once I didn’t mind the expansive world building (usually I get bored and roll my eyes, but this was well balanced within the plot!) and the spice fuckin SPICEDDD!!!!!! 3,000 🌶️’s/10

This is definitely one that needs to be read in order of the other Eternally series, and was worth the wait. I was a little intimidated picking up the book since it is soooo much longer than previous books in the author’s repertoire, but every page was well earned.

Can’t wait for the rest of the series, and OMGGGGG the amount of side characters I need books for grows and grows and grows 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am a little conflickted woth this book. I loved it. And I am not ashamed of that but it really is, like she says, a warewolf corno😂 I think that some parts are a little cringey and rushed like not well put togheter or thought over enough. Some things were just thrown in tour face with no furthur explination and that was confusing at times. And then some parts are cringey, ofc, but it was a fun Quick read for me. I have think it was a little hard with all the high fantasy in this book. It sometimes felt like I was reading a acid trip or something😬😂 but I enjoyd it all the same. I did not like the butt play tho.. not really for me.😅. If you want to read a Quick fun warewolf porno this is the book for you. The story is actually pretty good as well in these books, so it's not just all corn, but mostly. I loved how you got to se more of Alexander and maven as well. It made me happy. And the spice.. The spice is very good. I liked it, as I said, a little to dust at parts and the high fantasy was hard to compeehend at times but I enjoyd it. I will continue to read this series as it goes on. 🕸🖤

I love me a good boy, and Anwyll was the bestest boy 🥵💦
You know what I love more than a good boy? A man that is meant to be an alpha, your typical strong possessive, "touch her and die" man that submits and gets on his knees for his woman. Someone get me a fan, and scoop me up off of the ground. The spice in this book was spicing and I can't shut up about it 😂

This book was so good, I think I loved it just the same as Maven & Alexander's story but the dynamic of the spice really pushed it over for me. I enjoyed their journey and everyone they met a long the way. Also love how more creatures are being added to the mix. I'm also soooo excited for the next book because hot damn I can't wait to see the dynamic between this trio 😏 we got some enemies to lovers vibes but they are fated mates? I CAN'T WAIT.

Do check your triggers por favor because things get wild and not to everyone's taste.

My intro to January’s work was her monster stalker series so luckily I knew the intensity I was walking into with her books. But wooooooo boy this was still a ride. The insane amount of pure filth and smut in this book were intense. Not as intense as Honeysuckles in my opinion but still. WOW.

I really loved this story and I know I’m breaking the rules with not starting from the beginning but I am so glad I read this book. I loved Ru and Anwyll. His internal struggle with his wolf was really well written and their adventure to save his brother was action packed and epic.

I was disappointed, however, that Ru lost her luck and was no longer a leprechaun. I thought she was so unique and to take that away and make her a werewolf was a let down for me personally. I understand why the author went that direction, it was done very organically. But again, personally, I wish she had stayed a leprechaun. Fingers crossed her triplets are as “lucky” as the horseman predicted tho!

If you haven't read Carnival of Creeps after book one, I suggest reading it before you start book two. I won't give anything away. Just trust me and go read that first!

I'm an extremely submissive person irl, so the MMC, being as submissive as he was, made me a bit uncomfortable(I need my book boyfriends to be in control in the bedroom). My rating did not change for that, though, because that's a me problem. Not a book problem. So while a lot of the spicy scenes didn't do it for me, that's not to say it wouldn't do it for you.

This series is still well written with characters you can't help but fall in love with. My heart breaks for so many of them, and I just have to continue reading to see what happens next. Even if it takes me out of my comfort zone.

The only reason this didn't get a 5 star from me was because of a certain saying the heroine uses throughout the book. It was extremely repetitive and, eventually, annoyance crept in. According to my Kindle, she says it a total of 43 times.

Fated mates Anwyll and Ru are just a brilliant couple to read about.
But be prepared to ride the rollercoaster of emotions as they fight to get to their happy ever after…..
Feelings of loss, hurt, self doubt, depression and compassion follow them both through this book. (You’ll need tissues 🤧)

Still recovering from a 15 year old curse (placed by an evil warlock) Anwyll has nightmares about his past that makes you want to wrap him up and keep him safe! Whilst under the control of the warlock, Anwyll did many horrific things, he thinks he’d be better off dead! But that’s not his choice, he’s here to try to save his brother! (His brother is going feral because he’s not found his mate yet)

Ru is a Leprechaun who needs to find her "Luck" before her 23rd birthday. Ru is feisty, funny, smart and totally bossy when she needs to be. And when she finds out her “mate” is a troubled werewolf, well she just pulls her big girl pants up and gets the job done!

Both know they should be together, but convincing Anwyll is a daunting task! He constantly pushes Ru away, telling her and himself that he’s just not good enough for her (even though he could go mad if they don’t bond!)

It is a long story (645 pages) but will all that’s going on, and the attention to detail, it still didn’t feel long enough 😉 it ticks most of my boxes: Angst, magic, fated mates, adventure, and plenty of spicy moments 🥵

This story was such a great read and I'm looking forward to what's next in store. A highly recommended read 👍🏻

The book still has me hooked to the world building but I feel there is a lot that could have been cut out and we could have still had a good adventure. I felt a lot of going back and forth and it took more chapters than necessary. Anwyll story was nice to see his struggles and him learning more about himself. Seeing his and Ru's relationship blossom was perfect also. Going to be ready more cause I'm invested.

Fighting For the Love You Deserve

Anwyll and Ru is the definition of Fated Mates. This is a PNR is a rollercoaster ride. Feelings of loss, hurt, self doubt, depression and compassion.

Recovering from a traumatic 15 year curse Anwyll felt he was unworthy to even be alive. He constantly had nightmares of the horrific things he did while he was under the control of an evil warlock. Ru is a Leprechaun who needs to find her "Luck" before her 23rd birthday

Anwyll and Ru had a long journey to embark upon in order to get to their HEA. Determined to help his brother Anwyll set out to find ingredients necessary for a potion to heal him. Anwyll tried to deter Ru from pursuing a relationship out of fear that's the sickness that turns werewolves feral would overtake him and he unintentionally hurts her; but now that Ru has found her mate she is willing to risk it all to help him as well as help him to save his brother.

Although quite long this story had it all: Action, Humor, Heartache, Magic, Mythical Creatures, Fated Mates and soooooo much Spice. This story was such a great read and I'm looking forward to what's next in store.

Eternally Cursed

Anwyll was cursed by a warlock for 15 years and became a killing machine. Having recently been freed, he feels he's unworthy of love or to even be alive. Ru is an unlucky leprechaun who is trying to find her luck before she turns 23. When the pair meet, there is a chemistry there, but will they be able to overcome their own issues in order to be together?

The author did a great job in their character building, and really making us believe in them. Ru's situation was ironic and it gave a little bit of humor to the story. Anwyll is sweet and deserves so much happiness, and it really broke my heart when he kept pushing Ru away.

The book is on the long side and it did become difficult to read in some places. It's overly detailed, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it did get a little wordy for me.

Smut with a teeny tiny bit of plot.
The MC were literally doing it every 5 minutes while the poor MMC brother (who they were trying to save) was dying. And did they save him? NO not really cause old dude was trynna get pegged by his leprechaun mate?? How does that work. I was going to read the whole series but this book threw me off so bad. Nuhuh. Ion like this.
