Okay. Basically, this was middle of the road for me. I've read worse, and I've read better.

I'm not sure if I can put my finger on the exact thing about this story that made it 3 stars instead of more but I'll try.

I'll tell you this. It wasn't the story concept. The story had promise. It's so refreshing when there is an unique story line in PNR. In my opinion, there are too many rewritten arc's that it gets old. This isn't one of those. This is a story line that included the concept of royals, or the sacred families that came after the first generation wolf shifters. Never seen that before; that's awesome. I want more of that.

Maybe it was the writing? The dialogue was a little stale. Some things in the beginning seemed rushed when there needed to be more exploration of what was happening. I'm not sure. I liked both the H & h's characters. I don't believe there was a huge connection between them so I don't think that helped my rating and opinion.

Maybe you'll feel differently than me. Couldn't tell you. I just know that this book didn't come together like I feel that it should have. It didn't fulfill the promise of the story.

I MAY check the follow up books out... maybe. Maybe..

This book was a surprise for me. I know how talented L.P. Dover is, as I've read her previously.

Most shifter books I've gotten my hands on, have varied from terrible, predictable, to good, and awesome! Turn of the Moon was awesome!

I loved this book! The characters were great. I really liked Bailey. She kicked ass and didn't think twice. She was determined, heroic, and didn't let anyone take advantage of her.

True mates happens to be one of the best type of shifter books. This one was written to perfection. The romance was sweet and steamy too.

Kade and Maret made great villains. I enjoyed the way they were weaved into the plot.

The storyline was excellent and I wasn't bored at all. The pacing was smooth and kept my attention.

Overall, this book deserves five glittery stars. It was a great shifter book and I look forward to anything paranormal that L.P. Dover writes in the future.

ARC received via NetGalley

I liked that this book had its own little spin on the shifter genre - some shifters are of 'royal blood' and are special among their kind. I find it more enjoyable when, like this story, there are aspects in the storylines that make the books slightly different from others in the paranormal genre.
I did however, think the story could have been a bit more steamy with some more action in it as well. Overall though, it was an enjoyable read.

Stars: 4.5

Overall: Bailey is an Arctic Alpha Female and she is about to married off to someone that she doesn't love and is cruel. Before he can take her away, Bailey turns the tables on him, bites him and is able to get away. She runs for almost a day and ends up in a forest where she thinks she is being attacked again, but it turns out to be Ryker her true mate. At first she doesn't trust him because she doesn't have any memories of her past, but once he shows her proof she starts to fall in love with him. After this point, there is a bit of self discovery for Bailey, a few big battles over her and the truth comes out. At the end Bailey gets her memories back and is finally able to get with the one that she really loves.

Pros: I really loved how badass Bailey was and how she didn't need anyone to defend her. I also liked that Sebastien and Ryker's banter when they finally met each other and afterwards. At times I couldn't stop laughing. I also loved that Bailey and Ryker overcame so much to be together and the idea that magic doesn't choose your mate, you do. This book was filled with romance, drama, mystery and destiny. Every book I've read by L.P. Dover has been amazing and this book is no exception.

Cons: In some parts of the story, I felt that the story moved fast and I wanted more of an explanation about being a royal and what really happened to them. I also wish that Bailey had been reunited with her sister. Other than that I really enjoyed the story.

Characters: Bailey & Ryker

Page Turner: Yes

Series Cont: Yes, I think so!

Recommend: YES!!!

I have loved some of this writers previous work, and I'm a sucker for a good shifter romance, so I decided to give this one a try. I was skeptical going into this read, because the blurb almost made it feel like there would be a love triangle (which I typically despise) but thankfully that was not the case. The story flowed well and surprisingly, for a shifter romance, it never felt like insta-love between the hero and heroine. It was also offered as a kindleunlimited which is always a nice bonus. I'll definitely check out the next book in this series.

So this is L.P. Dover's first foray into writing paranormal and have to say I am impressed. I love a good sexy shifter tale and oftentimes with me personally they don't even particularly need to have much story to them, I still enjoy them either way as they are my guilty pleasure. Now, obviously if there's a good plot thrown in there too then all the better, and this one certainly delivered on the plot front. There was a well thought out backstory to the characters that is not revealed right away giving the story some depth, there's a bit of mystery involved and a few plot twists too. All of this combined to make you hot under the collar but make this a gripping read from start to finish.
Bailey is our heroine, when she is promised to the cruel and sadistic alpha of the Yukon pack she flees and leaves behind her own pack and her family to escape his clutches. In the middle of the forest, tired and alone, Bailey wanders into the territory of another wolf pack, and is found by none other than their hot, eligible alpha, Ryker.
Ryker is sinfully hot, if you love a protective alpha shifter then you'll adore him. And if for some bizarre reason Ryker doesn't do it for you then there's no shortage of other alpha male hotness in this book.
I really enjoyed this tale and I'm looking forward to the series continuing. I also look forward to checking out this author's non-paranormal books.

I want to start off saying how much I love L.P's books!!! When I found out she was writing a paranormal, I was very excited. Then I found out it was about shifters!!! My favorite!!! So I couldn't wait to get my hand on this one. Let's just say, L.P doesn't know how to disappoint when writing a great book. Turn of the Moon was howling fantastic!!! It was an amazing adventure full of love, deception, action and friendship. The characters had a lot of depth. I fell in love with most of them especially the hot as can be alpha males. I also loved that the story was written in both Ryker's and Bailey's POV. I was able to connect deeper with both characters that way.

I loved Bailey as a character. She was very stubborn and wanted to do things her way. She didn't need anyone to protect her. She was very powerful so she was able to kick some major butt as well. She didn't know a lot about her kind due to her memories being erased. And for the packing not telling her. So many secrets revealed with that. Ryker was one of my favorite characters. He was so protective of Bailey and has watched over her for years. He knew for a long time that she was his mate, but he could never get to her. I loved watching their relationship grow and develop. Sebastian was my favorite character!! He was so protective over Bailey since he was her royal protector. The banter between Ryker and Sebastian was hilarious. I couldn't help but adore him.

Turn of the Moon was a fantastic story that I will definitely reread. There wasn't anything that I didn't love about this book. There are secrets revealed and secrets that I can't wait to be revealed. I am hoping my alpha males find their true mates now that the bond is complete. I fell in love with those boys so I am hoping they get their happy ending as well. I can't wait to see where L.P takes us next. I highly recommend this book!!!

*Book Received in Exchange for Honest Opinion/Review*

One word to describe this book is hot! This book was steamy, dreamy, sexiness from the first page to the last. Now everyone knows I love me a good paranormal romance and I was hesitant to start this book, because the synopsis proposes that their might be a love triangle. At best it is a delusional love triangle where Kade thinks people actually like him...

That being said these characters are sexy and bad-*ss. I loved the energy they had and the inner strength and determination they eluded, even in moments of weakness. Bailey and Ryker leave me with a smile that I can't stop even if I tried. Kade...well it was hard to read scenes where he was involved because he made me so mad that I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room. There are also a ton of secondary characters that you fall in love with and I hope they all get their own stories.

I also love the idea of a true mate and this whole unique take on werewolves that I have never come across before. It really makes this book stand out. One thing I wasn't a huge fan of is that I would have liked to see the characters develop more of a relationship before jumping into bed together. Other than that this book was epic and I can't wait to read the next!

I am a sucker for werewolves so this was the first story I picked up of Ms. Dover's. I liked it but I didn't love it. The story was interesting and kept me reading, it just didn't drag me deeper and really connect.

Paranormal romance has always been my favorite, and here in Turn of the Moon, L.P. Dover clearly demonstrates why. There's the requisite paranormal creatures (the wolves and one annoying witch), the fated/true mates storyline (my fave in the paranormal genre), plenty of action and suspense, secrets and lies...all wrapped up with multiple holy-wow-hot-and-sexy alpha male wolves--and one hell of a strong alpha female. For the start of a new series, after reading this book I'm now hooked and guaranteed to stick around for every single story of the Royal Shifters. Yes, I thought it was that good.

From the exciting, dramatic start through the drama, tension and suspense, all the way to the climactic final fight, I was absolutely glued to every page. The characters were fantastic, with depth and personality--even the bad guys--and they all honestly made the story as good as it was. With all of the intriguing characters we are introduced to in Turn of the Moon, I can't wait to hear many more of their stories as the series goes on.

You have to love Bailey's strength and fortitude. With everything she's been through, and all still ahead of her, she perseveres and is willing to put herself on the line if necessary so others aren't harmed, showing that in addition to all her other wonderful traits she is also selfless and protective (like a true alpha should be). Ryker is a classic example of the perfect alpha male leader-powerful and strong, protective and compassionate, dominating and yet will not take away Bailey's right to her own choices. The two of them together make for an intense, passionate and commanding pair.

The supporting characters are just as important as our leads, and provide increased depth to the story as well as get you invested in not just the outcome of Bailey and Ryker's story, but also in the overall world L.P. Dover has created in this book. You'll find yourself craving those characters' own stories...especially all of the alpha males (yes, I'm talking about you Sebastian, Cedric, Tate, Micah, Colin...well damn, I could keep going on for a while--which hopefully bodes well for my upcoming reading in this series!).

The secrets that become uncovered as the story plays out add to the tension and drama, with everything building until the final conflict just releases an overload of angst and excitement. It's all bolstered by all of the action and edge-of-your-seat suspense that made this a complex yet unputdownable read for me. I truly cared about the characters, even hoping somehow Kade would be redeemed in some way through most of the story.

Starting off the Royal Shifters series in spectacular fashion, Turn of the Moon was a 5-star read for me. Paranormal romance fans-and in particular wolf shifter fans-will definitely want to check this one out...recommended for 18+ due to adult language, violence, and adult sexual scenes. I can't wait to see which character gets the next book, please don't keep us waiting too long!

Review:

I couldn't put this book down until I finished reading it. Truly addictive. For fans of "The Originals", it's as if this book focused on the werewolves packs that we all know and brought all the sexy and raw emotions these creatures can have.

This book was truly a surprise. The synopsis is catching and promises what delivers. There's action, a mystery, secrets, an evil brother, witches and a destined love. Did I mention the part where all the characters are werewolves? I think this topic has been used by a lot of authors, some of them making it almost unbearable to yet have to read "another typical" werewolf story. But L.P. Dover, not only wrote a great story, she made me crave for more and brought me back to being number one fan of the werewolves' stories.

The characters are well developed and their relationship start a bit destined, meaning we are soulmates therefore we are meant to be together forever and ever. But it takes a turn when we get to know that the characters knew each other and that there's a huge story behind their relationship. I was glad to find a badass Bailey who'll mistrust everyone, even the one who claimed to be his true mate. I was captivated by their irresistible attraction and magical connection and ended up head over heels with Ryker the very first moment he showed himself as a good guy, without leaving the alpha male behind.

The plot is flawless and the reader does not have second thoughts when the author introduces some drama, mystery or romantic moments. Even when secrets are unraveled, it feels like the story has been well built and it's the right moment to know everything.

I was invested in this book from the very first page until the very end and was left asking when the next Royal Shifters book is going to come out. I seriously thought about The Originals and that it was all as badass and cool as the TV Show, minus the vampires and with a more sexy touch to the story. I highly recommend it to all NA readers searching for a good Paranormal Romance story.

Paranormal Romance and Romantic Suspense are my two favorite genres so when I find a Paranormal Romantic Suspense it quickly gets added to my TBR. And when I have the chance to get my hands on an ARC? Even better! Well, I just got done reading Turn of the Moon and L.P. Dover did not disappoint.

Bailey is an arctic wolf shifter that has been promised to Kade, an abusive asshat, to form an alliance between their packs. To say that Bailey handles her own in the situation with Kade is a huge understatement and I knew that I was going to love her right off the bat. Taking off with not even the clothes on her back, Bailey doesn't stop running until she decides it's time for a quick bath. And that's when she runs into Ryker.

Ryker has known that Bailey is his mate for years and when she shows up in his territory he knows it's time to make her his. Unfortunately for him, Bailey doesn't remember him from when they were younger, she knows nothing about true mates, and to top it all off, she's on the run for killing Kade.

To say these two go through a lot before they have the chance to finish their mate bond is definitely an understatement. Everything that Bailey has ever known is quickly unraveling around her but luckily she has Ryker by her side the whole time. And when these two finally get to mate? Whew! Definitely worth the wait!

Turn of the Moon could have easily been a five star read for me if not for my inability to believe in Ryker's alpha status. I expect my alpha shifters to behave a certain way, and while Ryker was definitely protective of Bailey, he wasn't the possessive alpha I was hoping him to be. A true alpha shifter wouldn't let anything stand in the way of him and his mate and the fact that Ryker has always known Bailey was his and did nothing to claim her just didn't sit right with me.

Overall, Turn of the Moon was a great read and definitely a must read for fans of paranormal and romantic suspense alike. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Well this book was a pleasant surprise. Usually shifter books are either a complete hit or miss with me. This one was a hit and i loved it.

The story flowed smoothly and it was a relaxing read. It had action and mystery and all that fancy stuff, but none of it overpowered the others. The characters were enjoyable. Ryker was a mix of my favorite characteristic. He was possessive and protective and pretty hot. Yeah in the beginning i was a bit confused because he just came out of nowhere, but it got cleared up pretty quickly.

I really enjoyed Bailey. I really like it when the female MC has claws and can take care of herself and this one has some serious claws. She was great. Though i am a bit surprised that she just accepted everything so easily, but it fit well into the story.

This book is a nice read for people who love shifter stories and who want some steamy scenes in their books. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I received this copy in exchange for an honest review. I'm not big on New Adult but when I saw the opportunity to read a paranormal NA, I had to give it a shot. Most NA out there is contemporary. A big aspect of the genre is romance, in nearly all cases. The problem I find in much of NA is that it usually plays out as more of an erotica than romance, which is alright but there usually isn't enough relationship building in erotica to satisfy me. This book proved no different in that sense. It was disappointing.

I did enjoy the plot. There was quite a lot of action and suspense. I really did enjoy a few of the characters quite a bit. It wasn't at all a poorly written book and I don't mean to scare anyone away. It was good. Maybe the genre just isn't for me, or maybe I'm just getting old.

INITIAL THOUGHTS
To be honest after reading one or two shifter books I was looking for another that I thought would be really good. I went on Netgalley and saw this one, requested it and my request was accepted fairly quickly. as I was struggling with a book I was already reading I decided to start this one. I think my mum has read at least one L.P. Dover book and she enjoyed what she had read and as this one is paranormal/shifters I decided to give it a go.

REVIEW
As I mentioned above I received an e-arc of this title free form Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. The central feature of the cover the kissing couple under the moon, who I would say are Bailey and Ryker. The Moon is significant not only because it is on the cover and title but the way in which it's importance is an element revealed in the book. The book title and the authors name are done in a simplistic font that I think really suits the book cover as well as book content.
Would the cover make me pick this book up in a bookstore? That's a difficult question to answer totally honestly as the authors name alone would make me want to know more about the book, but yes I think the cover would be appealing enough to me to push me to pick up the book to learn more about it's contents.
The central characters in this book are Bailey, Sebastian, Kade, and Ryker. The first line of the blurb is One girl (Bailey), Two Wolves. Promised to one (Kade). Destined for the other (Ryker). In fact I think the first line of the blurb would make a perfect byline to appear on the front cover!
So Bailey is a rare female werewolf and her parents Darius and Annika Whitehall have promised her to Kade, Alpha of the Yukon Pack, even though Kade is known for being cruel and heartless. Bailey understands that the continuation of a wolf pack bloodline is important and something she can wholeheartedly agree with but to be almost "sold off" like an object, and a future breeding machine is something she cannot come to terms with at all.
Bailey is forced to go meet Kade, who is being rather arrogant by turning up at the meeting in his wolf form, exaggeratedly sniffing her, rubbing his scent on her, even going so far as to biting her and leaving his mark on her! Bailey has to make it look like she has accepted her fate, and plays along making Kade believe she is quite literally surrendering herself to him, and that she is prepared to spend the rest of her life with Kade. As once they have mated the bond/binding cannot be undone. Once alone with him she allows him to touch her though she finds his touch revolting, then once he actually thinks she is about to give herself to him attacks Kade, leaving him severely injured, possibly dead, and runs off, feeling she would rather leave her family and go it alone as a lone wolf than be with the sadistic Kade. Bailey just runs blindly in the direction her instinct seems to be taking her in. Bailey remains alone and in her wolf form until she finds a beautiful lake and decides to shift back to her human form and get rid of any remaining scent of Kade on her. It's whilst she is in the water that she realises she is no longer alone, there's a large arctic wolf watching her. An unmated arctic wolf she doesn't recognise but that at the same time seems kind of familiar too. Bailey instinctively changes to her wolf form and runs! There is only the briefest hesitation from the male wolf but then he chases after her. The male wolf soon catches her pinning her to the ground, as she looks into his bright green eyes she hears a pack approaching and then suddenly everything goes black. . . . When Bailey wakes she hears voices discussing her. Bailey eavesdrops and learns that she is the green eyed wolf's mate and that he bit her to trigger the visions that would tell her they are true mates and reveal who she truly is.
Well I could really go on and on forever and more about this book I loved it! To say this is L.P. Dover's first paranormal book, it's amazing and definitely want to read more of this series. My mum has read at least one of L.P. Dover's Second Chances novels and really enjoyed that so that's why as soon as I heard about Turn Of The Moon I wanted to read it!
The plot of the book is quite complex, we the reader, find out who Bailey truly is as she does within the visions that Ryker, the green eyed wolf has triggered by biting her.
Once Bailey is up and about she meets Ryker and his pack, the only pack she has ever known that has different breeds mixed together in one pack. Sebastian follows her and it's soon explained he is not exactly who Bailey has thought he was. Though multiple Alpha's do not usually exist in one pack, Ryker welcomes Sebastian as he loves and wishes to please Bailey so much. So I suppose you'd think great the book must be straight forward from here, that Bailey just has to "mate" with Ryker . . .but. . .of course things do not go so simply. There is the Yukon Pack on the "war path" so they have to be dealt with as well as the whole problem of Bailey's missing memories. Ryker wants his and Bailey's relationship to develop slowly and naturally. Ryker is the polar opposite of Kade, where Kade is violent, sadistic, arrogant and impatient to have Bailey as his possession. Ryker is gentle, patient, willing to discuss points of view with Bailey as his equal not a submissive partner.
I admit I made loads of notes as I read this book, and feel a little sad that after re-reading them the majority I decided not to use as I feel it could spoil your enjoyment of reading the book and having everything unfold to you as they did to me as I was reading.
I've looked back at my status updates on Goodreads, and my first one was at just 36% I was saying "Quite complex plot and family history for Bailey, certainly keeping me hooked!" At 60% I was still talking about the complexities of the plot "wow pack politics, packs uniting for the common good." I loved the way Ryker was always watching out for not only his pack members but is part of rescuing a nearby pack Alpha's sister when she is kidnapped. When Ryker needs help even though he does not ask for it, surrounding packs including their Alpha's are prepared to join with him in his fight against the Yukon Pack even though it may involve lives being lost.
There's also plenty of kick butt female characters in this book, Bailey, Kami and Teyla too. I'm expecting the character of Faith to also be quite strong although we don't really fully meet her in this book. My final Goodreads status update was ""Oh no Ryker!" and I'm sure you will know instantly at what point I was saying that when you get to it in the book. This book does take you on a journey alongside Bailey. Though the book is told from dual point of view, that of Bailey and also Ryker. My first initial reaction upon finishing was "I have discovered another fantastic shifter series, when can I read more?" and that is how I feel, if there were more books available in this series now to read.
The only thing I think I should point out is that this is an adult, 18+ content. So I'd say it was a little steamy in places, and quite descriptive too. Having said that the "steaminess" and "descriptive steamy" parts were well within the context of the book. If those "steamy" parts were removed this could also have been within the New Adult genre.
So did I enjoy the book? I totally loved it. I'm looking forward to reading other readers/bloggers review of the book and discussing it too.
Would I recommend the book? Yes! It's an 18+ kind of read though.
Would I want to read another book in this series? If there had been another book available in this series I would have wanted to read it straightaway! The rest of the series is right on my Must Read List already! When can I have more???
Would I want to read other titles by L.P. Dover? I think I may give her Second Chances series a go, though I'm not so sure when as my To Read List is super long.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Thoroughly enjoyed this book and am pleased to have discovered another brilliant shifter series to read. It is a book that I would go back to and re-read too. Which I know I do not do a lot as I have so many other books to read, but Turn Of The Moon is one I'd like to have on my keeper bookshelf. I think fans of Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld Series, and J.A. Belfield's Holloway Pack Series would love this series too.

What rock have I been hiding under? Please, please, don't make my mistake. Read this book. Devour this book. Then grab book two, Resisting the Moon. There is so much within the pages to keep the reader entertained. Get ready for a lot of shock and awe.

This book is oozing with hunky wolf shifters. The reader can ogle red wolves, timber wolves, gray wolves and arctic wolves. Even better most packs get along, working together to protect one another.

Turn of the Moon is a thriller that will keep you reading into the night. The evil created within the pages will put goosebumps on your goosebumps. Black witches. Deceptions. Kidnappings. Murders. Who knew one pack would do anything to become the most powerful of all packs.

Turn of the Moon is a romance that will make your heart grow. True mates do exist. True mates are everything. True mates, or at least the concept of them, can save all the shifters if they are strong enough to conquer evil.

My Rating:
Star: 3/5
Bikini: 3/5

Fave Scene / Quote:

“So if I take off my clothes and lay down on the table, you wouldn’t have sex with me?”

He chuckled. “Nope.”
“You sure?”

"Yep.” He continued on with cooking while I stood there, dumbfounded. I didn’t believe him for a second. His back stiffened when I took off my shirt and pants and climbed up on the table."

“I am so hungry,” I announced, waiting for him to turn around. When he did, he completely ignored me and sat down with his plate of food.
He pointed to the counter. “Your plate’s up there.”

Turn of the Moon was such a refreshing read for me. I am always on the look for great paranormal romances and let me tell you, this book reminded me why I like shifter books in the first place. Turn of the Moon is actually my first book by L.P. Dover and it certainly won’t be my last. I clearly have been missing out. Not only did Turn of the Moon give me all of the romance elements that I love, including an alpha male, but it also more than delivered on the paranormal aspects.

Turn of the Moon follows the story of Bailey and Ryker. All Bailey has ever wanted out of her life, was her freedom; the freedom to live and love who she chooses. However, her family has other plans in mind. They’ve promised her to a wolf that she doesn’t love. This wolf is arrogant, mean and just plain cruel. Bailey is left with no choice, but to escape; no matter what the cost. As Bailey embarks on her quest for freedom, she quickly learns that everything isn’t as it seems. She will quickly discover that everything she thought she knew was a lie. Things become even more complicated when she discovers her true mate. Together the two of them will uncover a startling truth and will be in for the fight of their lives; not only to protect their pack, but to also complete their bond as true mates…

Turn of the Moon is the first book in not only an exciting new series, but also a new genre for L.P. Dover. And let me tell you, she really knocked it out of the park with this one. I was intrigued from the very beginning. I was sucked into a world of magic, wolves, mystery and intrigue. I was completely captivated by the characters and their story. I couldn’t wait to see how it would all play out and I honestly couldn’t read the pages quick enough.

Turn of the Moon was hot, sexy and intriguing. The characters had excellent chemistry. There wasn’t one person, whom I didn’t want to know more about. It honestly had it all: romance, suspense, mystery, and a ton of action. The Royal Shifters series is off to one heck of a start and I for one can not wait to see where this series will go next!

** While wolf shifter, Bailey Whitehall has always been treated differently by her pack, she will do just about anything to protect them. That is until she's promised to an alpha Wolf of the neighboring pack, the Yukon. While Bailey would do anything for her pack, being forced to mate with someone as cruel and evil as the Yukon alpha isn't one of them.
After committing what would be considered treason agmonst the pack, Bailey runs away, leaving behind the only family she's known, but starts a new life where she's free to make her own choices. Soon she learns her life in her old pack isn't what she thought it was. Questions are asked and secrets are unraveled which puts her life as well as those she's come to care about in danger. Can Bailey figure out the secrets to her old life and keep her new life safe? **

L.P. Dover always writes strong female characters and Bailey was no exception. She wanted a mate that not only cared about being an alpha but cared about the pack as well. She wanted to be equal in the relationship, her voice and opinions heard. She wouldn't settle for less.
Ryker is that mate for Bailey. While he was alpha, he gave Bailey options, let her make her choices, unless he truly felt her choice would cause her more harm than good. I loved how he protected her, but still let her go.
I loved L.P. Dover's version of the paranormal world and wolf shifters. She not only used the standard alphas, but put her twist to it. Bloodlines, she involved magic, and more.
I also loved all the surprises, suspense, and twists Turn of the Moon had. I really enjoy a books that has those elements with romance. I think I gave Turn of the Moon 4 stars instead of 5 was because the flow of the story. At times I felt rushed, other times felt like it slowed too much. I wish somethings were cleared up or a certain scene was given to us at the end.
I'm honestly not much of a paranormal reader, but I really enjoyed Turn of the Moon and yes, I would recommend this to reading friends.

L.P. Dover has done it again with Turn Of The Moon. It reminded me so much of her Gloves Off series, and what I mean by that is the males are alphas for sure. You just know these guys are the type who will take care of their of their women, their families, and their packs. They are oh so sexy, and made me wish they would take a bite out of me. I love the little twist she put in about their heritages, and their past. I just got hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. I want more of these wolves, I want to see more of not just Bailey’s family but her best friend Sebastian’s and Ryker’s pack.

Bailey was a rare alpha female. I, at first didn’t understand her reluctance to being with Ryker, but once you get into the book you understand more and more. I love how she did open up and trusted Ryker more and more. Ryker impressed me as well, he was kind of fighting not only to protect Bailey, but to also have her remember.

Turn Of The Moon is a great beginning to a series that has the potential to be amazing. Her twist on certain aspects makes a genre that sometimes can be overdone have a little bit of a fresh face. I am excited to read more about these wolves and the action that is sure to come.

4.5 star

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, betrayal, secrets, grief, and heartbreak.

This is Bailey and Ryker’s story. Bailey has been promised to Kade. But he is cruel and she wants nothing to do with him so she runs from him and her pack. On the run she meets Ryker. Ryker is her true mate but she has never heard of true mates. She only knows she needs to keep running. Ryker will do anything to protect Bailey. He has to get her to understand that they belong together. Can Ryker convince her before the wolves that are after her catch up to her? If keeping her safe means a war then Ryker is prepared to fight to the death to save Bailey and prove to her they are mates. Who is really after Bailey? Is it her old pack or other packs also? When all the secrets are revealed will it bring them closer or completely shatter them? If they have to go to war will they all come out of it alive?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads~~

Having enjoyed all of Ms Dover's MMA stories, I had no hesitation in reading this as soon as it arrived on my Kindle. Her transition to writing paranormal is most definitely a success.

We know that this is the beginning of a series, but it does not suffer from excessive world building. It is set up throughout the whole book in different and interesting ways. The plot here is tight and gives a satisfying conclusion, and a definite desire for more (soon, I am hoping!) The story is told from both Bailey and Ryker's POV, which ensures that we can see both sides of both the plot and the romance develop. There are some lovely touches of humour, and plenty of bonding too.

I was lucky enough to be on holiday and it was raining, so I could devote my day to escaping to the Ms Dover's new world. I hope you get a chance to do the same soon.
