Death was to become me. Death was my fate. But I’ve never been one to follow the rules.
Zade, Cross, Dalton, and Sawyer stormed into my life with their cocky grins and bad attitudes. And for a while, I believed they were going to protect me. But nothing could prepare me for what’s to come.
I need to run, need to get away from Empire, but there’s nowhere I can go where they won’t find me. Everywhere I look, every step I take, there’s someone ready to use me for their own sick agendas.
I’m not safe in this world I was destined to rule. The secrets. The lies. The backstabbing betrayals. I’m not cut out for this.
They have me right where they want me, my back against the wall. But I haven’t made it this far to give up so easily. Especially now I’ve got my finger on the trigger.
I’ve found my ace and am not afraid to play it. And what’s best . . . they’ll never see me coming.
Legacy is book 2 in the Empire series.
It is a Reverse Harem, Enemies to Lovers, Dark Secret Society, Gothic Contemporary Romance series. It contains explicit sexual content, extreme graphic violence and murder, cult-like material, human sacrifice, and coarse language.
I only started this book last night, I literally got no sleep. I couldn’t put it down until I got right to the end. Totally addictive reading. Our beautiful Oakley is in a genuine fight to save her life. My heart breaks for Oakley. She let these men into her life, against her better judgement and now they have turned on her. Well they think they have! Oakley is our feisty, sassy, queen. I have no doubt those boys can’t resist! So excited for book 3!
I am absolutely speechless!!! Just when I think this author can’t outdo the last book she goes and writes a killer cliffy ! This story is one of my faves the twists and turns keep coming the heat is scorching and the drama continues! The angst hurts so good I love the chemistry between Oakley and the guys it’s official Mrs Sheridan Anne is my absolute favorite RH romance author she never lets me down with her stories and guaranteed to have me obsessing over her characters. I can’t wait for the next book already!
I was a bit nervous going into this one because I was scared this would feel eerily similar to Sheridan's Boys of Winter series like the first book did. There were a couple moments here and there that did feel similar but I think that Sheridan did a great job with this book to make this series start to feel like its own. I found myself becoming a lot more invested in these characters than I was previously and I'm so excited to see how this story continues!
First of all, I don't know if it's a change in my tastes or what but why is my favorite right now our resident jerk Zade?! I feel like we really got to see some depth into his character and the potential has me so freaking excited! His little cat and mouse game with Oakley is so addictive and I feel like once he finally gives in it's going to be nothing short of explosive! Don't get me wrong I also love the other guys, all their personalities mesh together very well with Oakley in different ways and it makes for the perfect balance of sweet and spicy! I just wish they would actually do something to help her predicament because gah the imminent trauma hurts me!
Now while this book was super easy to read there were some aspects to the writing style and some small plot points that made the reading experience not so seamless for me. Stuff like repetitive thoughts, situations, or conversations, some moments/scenes that seemed so unbelievable it took me out of the story for a minute, and what was described as a somewhat serious injury only being brought up once and then never again after the fact. These did not diminish my overall enjoyment of the story by any means but they were some things that my brain took note of.
Finally, in true Sheridan fashion she had to end this book with a big cliffhanger! I KNOW that there must be something I'm missing because I am absolutely stumped on how anything will be able to move forward if what happened was actually as straightforward as it looked! One silver lining I'm hoping for is that Oakley can finally get the slip on the guys for a bit this time! I love watching those men go feral for her and so obviously I feel like I'm gonna love seeing how they handle everything that was just thrown at them! Let the wait until June and Sinner begin! 😈
I..tried. I really did..but just no. DNF at 65% (and honestly started skimming through it at 30%) First book was meh but since it ended on a cliffhanger i wanted to check out the second one.
*Spoilers*
Oakley is so unbelievably stupid it's beyond annoying. She found out that Zade was gonna carve out her heart and just..accepted it? Like it was an every day occurrence? Not only that but she just let the guys off for helping him while trying to guilt trip them as they continue to fuck her with the bullshit excuse of "if i got this much left to live better make it count" BITCH where's your self respect? Your will to fucking live? Your desire for goddamn REVENGE? Saying i don't want to die and whining about it to your captors while STILL panting after them instead of figuring out how to save not only herself but her dad as well pissed me off to no end. Don't even get me started on the guys. Zade..I get that he was raised on the shtick of him being the heir but get the fuck over it. He's annihilating people around left and right and acting so goddamn entitled to something that was never his to begin with. Get a fucking grip. It's not the end of the world because YOU'RE STILL A FUCKING BILLIONAIRE. Dalton, Sawyer and Easton should just grow pairs and learn to stand up to Zade instead of letting him just steamroll through them. I liked Boys of Winter so i was like hey, let me give this new series a try but no, fuck that. Overall, all throughout the book i wanted to reach into it and strangle and/ or punch, slap, electrocute, shove, drill (literally) some sense into all of them. If you sat through my rant, i'm not always a raging bitch in my reviews, this book just brought it out of me.

(4.5⭐️)We’re back with more Oakley and the boys in Legacy, book two of @sheridan.anne.author Empire series. If you’re a RH junkie like me, there are few who do it better than Sheridan and this series is no exception!!
Book two dropped some truth bombs but one thing is certain - our girl Oakley is sure to be a sacrificial lamb in less than thirty days unless she can find a way to save herself.
But those odds are steep because Empire is a society with limitless means and Zade is set to be their king, with Dalton, Cross, and Sawyer by his side. Only problem is, every day that ticks by, feelings grow stronger and lines start to get blurry.
This was super twisty and I had no idea what to expect at the end, but leave it to Sheridan to drop that cliffy and run 🤯 Also, the strawberry donuts, IYKYK 😏
Oakley, Sawyer, Cross, Dalton & Zade are stealing my heart page by page. I have honestly been left speechless utter speechless, the darkness and twists will leave your jaw on the floor. I am a sucker for a secret society and this instalement in the series is SLAYINGGG!!
The spice and steam and character development will leave you devouring the pages. But hold on to your knickers because you’ll be needing book 3 immediately!!
Oakley faces some big big drama's and yet her sassy character continues to grow and shine through. I love how fierce she is.
Can we appreciate the motorbike scene. 🥵🥵 one of the best friggin chapters I've ever read. But add in that scene and the ending.... that CLIFFY gahhhhhhhh. Thats why your the queen of cliffys!!
Oakley, Zade, Dalton, Easton & Sawyer have my HEART and I’m completely in love with these books! This is book 2 in this series and after the first cliffhanger it didn’t disappoint, it just keeps getting better and better 👏🏼 the spice, the plot, the characters.. ALL OF IT are top tier and if you haven’t started this series yet then why not?! Zade, you beautiful broken soul.. you were my favourite until Daltons 🍩 & 🏍️ scene so in book three I really need you to up your game to get back to my number 1 spot!
Start this series… I promise you will not be disappointed. Sheridan has a way of balancing plot & humour so freaking well, I cried, I laughed, I laughed until I cried and then I laughed some more! But it never, not once, strayed away from the plot! 5/5⭐️ without a doubt I recommend reading this series!
I felt somewhat apprehensive that Legacy would feel eerily similar to Sheridan’s Boys of Winter series, much like the first book in the Empire series did. However, even though some moments felt reminiscent of BOW, I was pleased to see that this series is becoming its own. Although, non of that took away from my enjoyment of the book. I’m still just as invested in these characters and the continuation of the plot.
In Legacy, we get more of an insight into the guys. Specifically Zade. We got to see more of the depth to him and not just surface level things, but rather what makes him tick…surprise, it’s Oakley. There’s so much potential with Zade’s character; you can feel the tension ridding between him and Oakley and I’m so here for when it finally blows up!
Also, the other guys—Dalton, Sawyer and Easton—were just as much as a treat too. There is a good mixture of sweet and spicy when it comes to the guys, each of them bringing their own thing to the tables and it blends well with Oakley. We also got more of an inside look of Easton; seeing that he’s had a darker life than the rest but only touching the surface of what that could be, so it’ll be interesting to see if we get more information on him.
Sawyers life has been upended countless times in this book and all at the hands of his best-friend. There was renationalise between the two throughout and that only seemed to intensify towards the end. Sawyer feels betrayed by Zade, so it’s going to be fun to see if he’ll be able to forgive him.
And Dalton, well he’s just a sweetheart really. At first, he was the one to betray Oakley the most, but you can see how he’s slowly falling for her and how the guilt is eating him up. He seems to be the only one who’s actively trying to find a way to save Oakley from her impending death.
That being said, with Dalton being the only one of the guys to try to help Oakley, I just wish that the rest of them would actually do something to get her out of this situation she’s in. It’s really heartbreaking seeing that they don’t seem to be doing much to help just accepting what will be and it only makes me feel more for Oakley because she truly feels things for these guys.
Finally, like all of Sheridan’s books there was a big cliffhanger at the end, obviously making me want to go straight onto the next (just as I will be doing after finishing writing this review). Now, this cliffy was quite shocking because the way it was portrayed seemed simple…but who are am I kidding nothing Sheridan Anne writes is simple.
So, while I ponder over the fact that what happened at the end couldn’t have actually happened, I can’t help but root for Oakley. This girl deserves to live and I maybe be delusional here but I’ll be a bit disappointed if she doesn’t take Empire for herself in the end!
Holy Forking Shirt B@lls! This was an epic follow up to Empire. Legacy is explosive, sexy, has secrets worth dying for, is full of murder, and backstabbing. I enjoyed Empire, but Legacy kicks it up 10 notches! 15/10!
I will never look at donuts or motorcycles the same way again…IYKYK 🥵
I love the drama and angst. Oakley continues to be d!ckmatized and I will say that irks me at times because like these dudes are gunna watch you die and they aren’t trying to stop it. But she’s getting some good D so can I understand it too. She trying to live as much as she can.
Zade is still Zade, but I feel like he’s making moves without telling anyone. He really started pissing me off with his BS. I have to admit though I like him so I guess I’m just as crazy as O. Their tunnel scene had me panting.
Cross has been my fave from the beginning though he and Zade are close. I love how intuitive he is to Oak and he actually broke my heart a little when he betrays Oak with a note. I get he’s loyal to Zade, but man that scene gutted me.
Dalton is always the comic and overall relief of the guys. He can always take the stress from a situation with his donut and his motorcycle lol. Both scenes are epic! And he may be the only one to truly put Oakley first…for now.
Sawyer poor thing has so much going on. With his dad and sister he can’t catch a break. I don’t really know how I feel about him though. There is something with the other 3 that no matter what they do I still am addicted. But with Sawyer I don’t feel that way as a character.
this series! it’s a whirlwind of events and emotions. i love sheridan anne and the way her mind came up with this plot is so good.
is it slightly m0rbid? yes. does it leave you continuously turning the page to see HOW there is even gonna be a hea here? YUP.
Oakley has such a strong personality and I have no doubt she’s going to be a queen. she just needs to get past these four pawns. and I say pawns because as a reader, you can see that things aren’t adding up with Zades s@crifice assignment, but it’s so interesting waiting for everything to blow up.
I’m still unsure about these characters. i dont even know if i like the harem yet. but that’s Sheridan Anne’s magic - she makes you hate the characters and then you don’t even realize you love them. patiently waiting for that moment because I want to yell at everyone. i’m so excited to see where this series keeps going!!
WTF! I was not prepared for this book to end, let alone the way that it did! Sheridan Anne hooked me in so fully to this world I’m obsessed! Then she destroys my emotions slowly throughout!
Our fmc, Oakley, is such a badass! Her whole life is in someone’s else’s hands. Every time she gets knocked down she gets right back up and fights with everything she has! Dalton, Easton, Sawyer, and Zade are dark, dangerous and delicious. Super possessive and jealous, but is it because they want her or they own her?! Lord those guys! 😈😈
I recommend this series to those that love dark, reverse harem, secret societies, sacrificial rituals, and some really messed up secrets! It’s so good! I can’t wait for the next book!!
Book 2 picks up where we ended on the previous one. Oakley is still trying to find ways and counting her days until she is to be sacrificed. A couple things were revealed here but not enough to know what is exactly going on. Well for me anyway!! As much as everyone probably hates Zade I’m starting to think he’s figuring out some loophole on his own. Dalton is determined saying he will do whatever he needs to get of her out of even if it’s going against the cause. Sawyer is still dealing with the aftermath of his family’s stuff and it only added in this one. I feel like Cross feels he’s stuck on where he wants to lean. Ugh and of course we got left with another cliffhanger wondering where we go from here!! I hope things start to come more together in the next book.. I need some kind of positivity before I’m sure we get slammed with more trouble. I’m waiting on Zade to just break through and stale a claim we all know he wants. Why is always the most broodiest ones that I root for the most??
Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice Level: 🌶🌶🌶 Darkness Level: 💀
I'm not sure Six Flags has as many twists and turns on its rollercoasters as this series does.
There's nothing boring about it...the story drives forward relentlessly, each turn bringing new info, leaving you wondering if you really have any idea of what's going on or how it's going to end.
I don't always like every guy in the group, but these guys?? 😍 They're damaged and sexy and vicious and very droolworthy. And that Zade kiss?? *swoon*
Of course, it wouldn't be a Sheridan book without a cliffy, and I'm desperate to get my hands on the next one. 💯 recommended.
Book 2 is on fire!! Not that we would expect anything less from Sheridan Anne. Legacy picks up right after Book 1 and we find Oakley in another predicament. I know I say this in almost all my Sheridan reviews but it’s true!! She found more ways to turn up the spice and have a totally out there 🥵 scene I wish I could try! Lol plus more! There are scenes that left me speechless and maybe wanting a strawberry sprinkled donut. The cliffhanger definitely got me! I wanted to scream but had to yell in chat instead. A must read!!!
Love Oakly she has the right amount of everything making her the perfect main female character,
I Trevor her and the boys put in that situation but Zade had the right idea to stay away, the love they all feel for each other I hopeful has a good ending for them all somehow
Sheridan Anne writes some of the best books I’ve ever read and Legacy is no exception! I’m so invested in Oakley’s story and I’m dying to find out what happens next. That cliff hurt and I will be desperately waiting for book 3 because I know that ending isn’t what it’s lead to believe!!
Is this girl… dumb? How is she so nonchalant about the threat to her life? Fucking these guys like crazy and not doing shit to help herself besides running away every few days, only to get dragged back? Falling in love with them?
I skimmed thru most of the book and I’m only reading the third bc I made it this far. Got to see it thru to the end, I guess.
𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬, 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐖/𝐓𝐖: MFMMM/RH/multi POV/dark/enemies to lovers/secret society/cult like/murder/violence/gore/mentions of human sacrifice/cliffhanger
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰: This is BOOK TWO of the Empire Series and MUST be read in order. You should start with Empire.
𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: This book picks up right we’re Empire left us. Oakley is in the middle of some deep rooted secrets and more and more truths keep coming to light. Truths that even have the guys questioning what they know. Oakley’s trust in the guys is at an all time low but he feelings for them make it hard to hate them. Dalton feels guilt, but let me be the first to tell you… the way that man grovels… fuck. me. 🥵 Sawyer’s feelings for Oakley are almost getting overshadowed while everything else is his life running rampant. Easton feels… well he’s not willing to express what he feels quite yet… but its coming … and then there’s Zade. Ughhh, this man makes me SO mad sometimes… we all see right through you big guy. Just give it up already!
Legacy continues to build on to the world that is run by Empire, and as people continuously try to take Oakley out before the sixtieth moon, she continues to fight for her right (me: hums beastie boys song) to live, all while also trying to have whatever kind of ‘normalcy’ she can with her remaining days. Her determination to change her fate knows no bounds. Loyalties are being tested, plans are being formulated and no one is willing to back down.
I devoured this book. There was so much going on that I pretty much stayed on the edge of my seat, grasping at straws trying to figure out what was going to happen. Let me also just share … I will NEVER look at a pink sprinkle donut the same again. 😂 Alsooo.. motorcycle ‘ride’ anyone? Way to get creative Sheri 😉 Each one of these characters are complex and multifaceted and i love each and everyone of them… 95% of the time.
Sheri never ceases to amaze me… while simultaneously pissing me off, making me question my loyalties, wanting to throat punch some one and laughing hysterically with every book she writes. I can’t wait to see where she takes the rest of this series.
If you enjoyed Boys of Winter or Depraved Sinners, then you need to pick up this series ASAP!
𝐐𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:
“The boys don’t do anything the easy way. They get off on the idea of death, and anything or anyone who stands in their way will suffer at their hands.”
“Look around you, Zade. One way or another, we’re all fucking attached—even you. You just don’t know it yet.”
“How am I supposed to make your life a living hell when all I want to do is be your desperate little whore?”
Sheridan Anne just keeps upping the ante! This gritty reverse harem saga is just overflowing with drama, dangerous secrets, volatile chemistry, and all the angst! Empire was only just a taste of what is to come in this tantalizing world - Legacy has arrived, and oh juicy deliciousness was it wild.
There was much to build on in Legacy- not only do we have these five layered and super complicated characters to unpack but they are all deep in the middle of some ISH. Our heroine Oakley continues to bring the fire and feistiness- she's strong and determined, but girl is also so easily seduced by the BDE of our very naughty harem. I'm excited for her to grab them more by the reigns- as more and more she rises out of being a girl trapped and controlled by this world and more a girl whose strength shapes it. The boys are all kinds of yummy and misbehaving- their own plots, their own plans, their own machinations...some of them you may still want to smack because of their shenanigans (hello Zade)- but fortunately they make up for it with some panty-melting smexy times. And, while each has intrigued me in their own way (Cross in particularly gets me all curious), Dalton has thus far been my favorite and Legacy only solidified him and his golden retriever energy. He brought more than just the comedic relief to this one. NOM NOM. Also, donuts and motorcyles....well....let's just say Sheridan Anne has ruined them for me in the best way possible. Is it hot in here?! DAYUM.
As always, Sheridan left us with a dooooozie of a cliffhanger, a bazillion questions to figure out, and all the tingles. I have my theories, but there's still a lot of story to tell, and I have a feeling these characters are gonna keep on riding the one way train on down to crazytown for SO much drama in our next book. CHOO CHOO- and I'm all aboard.
Legacy is the 2nd book in the Empire series. I was so invested in it that I kept thinking I knew exactly how certain parts where going to play out. Well, I know nothing because I was wrong on pretty much every aspect I was speculating on. It has just as much, if not more, steam, action, betrayal, and so many secrets and lies. I, for one, can't wait to see how this is all going to unfold beacause the story just keeps getting darker and more complicated in the best ways.
So, when we last saw our girl Oakley, she has just been thrown into a cell and boy did she get the shock of her life while down there. Thankfully she doesn't have to endure the cell for long and when her boys come in to save the day, it's so easy to forget the predicament she is in. And that Zade, Dalton, Easton and Sawyer are at the very heart (hahaha) of all Oakley's heart ache. But all that aside, let me tell you, the chemistry between them is still waaaay off the charts. It is a ferocious wildfire out of control. I am also loving the interactions between them. Zade is about to explode with all that tension he is holding in. It will be awesome to see that when it happens. Dalton is hilarious, has no filter and doesn't mind a bit of self-deprecation!!! Easton is super intense and loyal to a fault, even to his own detriment and then there is Sawyer. I'm not sure about him. I kind of feel like there is more to him that we haven't seen yet.
With all that in mind, I have so many more questions now after that ending. I was turning the page looking for more, thinking no surely it can't end like that I mean, who does that???? Oh wait, for a second I forgot who I was talking about.
I need answers and I don't think I can wait. Is it too much to ask if I can have Sinner like nowish??? PLEASE??? x
Sheridan Anne nailed it again! Legacy is the perfect continuation of this series. I loved Empire, but I think this one is my favorite so far!
I was hooked by the very first sentence. That sentence, and the following paragraph, had me cracking up. What a way to begin a book! I legitimately laughed out loud so many times throughout the whole thing. Oakley's internal musings are absolutely hilarious! She cracks me up, and I wish I could be her best friend. Plus, there are a number of seriously funny moments that include a couple of the guys. There's one specific scene that had me in tears from laughing, and when you read the book you'll know exactly what scene to which I'm referring. It may actually be one of the funniest scenes I've read. I don't know how Sheridan comes up with some of this stuff, but I'm thankful for that brilliant mind of hers!!! Don't worry though, it's not all fun and games. There are a couple of heart warming and heart breaking moments, along with action, mystery, hot AF steamy scenes (of course), and a pretty insane twist I didn't see coming. I fell more in love with my man, Dalton, while Cross and Sawyer are getting closer to being removed from my "Deserves a punch to the face" list, but Zade is still FIRMLY on that list, and I don't see me removing him from that list any time soon.
As usual, Sheridan Anne ended this baby on quite a cliffhanger. What do you expect? We all know she loves to torture us because she's clearly addicted to our tears! That's okay though, because these books are worth it!
Wow first words in and I'm like a little slappy make daddy happy..why I thought of Trolls I have no idea but I definitely got slapped in the head with those words. Talk about hooking you right back in Oakley has Dalton, Easton,Sawyer and Zane wrapped around her finger though she might be counting down the days to her untimely death at the hands of Zane it seems she has won over their hearts to a degree. Easton/Cross has me so intrigued with his love and protectiveness of Venom that I wonder what his childhood was truely like. Dalton has me seeing donuts In a whole new light and if I'm correct we never got the grand total..lol Sawyer has my protective side coming out after his father's actions thrust him into being the man of the family as well as all the other possible shockers to come I really feel he has his work cut out for him. Oakley really brings out the best in these guys, their constant back and forth maybe just for laughs or to forget whatever is troubling them but ultimately she genuinely cares and wants the best for them. Zane is caught between a rock and a hard place and as certain shocks make themselves known he begins to realise, I hope that the brotherhood has all been brought up on lies and as people lose their lives he is still trying to make a change that could see Oakley not be his sacrifice. Why do I feel like Oakley's daddy issues are going to bite her in the rear, things just don't seem to add up. That ending is yet again a mind blower im left wondering what in the world is going to happen next
Ok I love an enemies to lovers, antihero/villain, bully romance as much as the next smut-addicted gal, but this takes the freaking cake (and not in a good way). SPOILERS!!
They (MMCs) are all going to kill the FMC. Let her be killed. Same thing. Since they’re holding her prisoner and ensuring that their friend is able to kill her. She has 0 actual realistic responses to this and thinks they’re good?? And wants to bang them?? When she has a month to live before they brutally and painfully murder her for power?? Sure she scoffs and says she doesn’t forgive them and sasses them but then freaking bangs and flirts with them and I’m like?? If I were about to die I think this would in no way be within the realm of expected responses??? I kept reading PURELY in the hopes that she would brutally betray them and reveal that she doesn’t give a shit about any of them but NO. I’ve literally never read a book where I’ve been holding out for the deaths of one or (fingers crossed) ALL of the MMCs but DAMN. This was the. Most. Infuriating. Read of my entire life. Stop banging them!! So bad. I mean, love the concept but can there be SOME realism included?? Some serious rage from the FMC? Some genuine GENUINE remorse/action from at least one of the MMCs who claim to love her (gag me with a rusty spoon). Some groveling? Just…Jesus Christ if you’ve gotten this far and haven’t started reading and you value not wanting to put your head through a wall just exit the page.
Just to note, this picks up right where book 1 left off so I'm assuming you would be okay with the content but to reiterate, this book does have some content that may be not be everyone's cup of tea. If you're okay with some dark society, cult like shenanigans, then this is for you. Also the introduction is hilarious so don't skip that part.
I live for this series. Really I live for anything Sheridan writes but I like the take on secret societies. I like how Oakley is in a precarious situation that she has to fight her way out of. And damn does she fight. She's the right amount of bad A and vulnerable. There's a balance in her character that I think works well with the boys who pretend to have tough exteriors. Man, Sawyer, my heart goes out to Sawyer. You get so much more of a different side of him in this. Dalton is as sweet as apple pie. Easton is just chefs kiss mysterious. And Zade, well... you gotta have the one that has to grow on you.
There are so many good moments in this continuation. The conflict, the lols, the spice, the growth and development. It's all there and to me, it's so well done. I literally fought off sleep and read this with one eye open because I needed to know. As usual, there's a cliff but I'm Thelma and Louise and I am down for those. This book felt like edging in the best way. I found myself wanting. I felt the joy, the heat, and the pain. Books like this is why I love reading.
Reverse Harem ✔️ Enemies To Lovers ✔️ Secret Society ✔️ Bad Ass FMC ✔️ Alphaholes ✔️
All of my favorite things in one book, what could be better?!
Legacy is book two of the Empire series. We were left with a major cliffhanger at the end of Empire and Legacy picks up exactly where we left off.
Oakley has been thrown in a cell at Empire and has just learned that the father she thought was dead, is actually alive and has been in a cell for the past 12 years. She's now literally in a fight for her life but doesn't have to wait long for the boys to come save her. Zade was thought to be the sole blood heir of Empire but it turns out that he isn't, Oakley is and she isn't going down without a fight. Someone is sending assassins to kill Oakley but each time, the guys are there to save her. This book uncovers even more secrets and betrayal and there are twists and turns throughout the whole book. We're left again with a huge cliffhanger and I already can't wait for book three to drop because I'm dying to know what will happen next.
Oakley, I have never loved an FMC more than I love her. She is fierce, determined, strong and as sassy as they come. She gives as good as she gets when it comes to the guys. I love her smart mouth and how much she challenges each of the guys, especially Zade.
Zade is still Zade, stubborn, cruel, lethal but I feel like he has a plan he's working on or maybe trying to find a loophole to save Oakley's life. I think that he has more feelings for Oakley than what he's letting on. The tunnel scene though! 🥵 I was internally screaming when I read that scene and really hope there is way more of that in book 3.
Sawyer, Easton and Dalton are still dickmatizing Oakley and the spicy scenes in this book were on point! I'm an Easton fan all the way. I think Easton is alot like Oakley in the sense that they just want someone to love him...But the motorcycle scene!!! Holy sh!t!!!
I seriously loved this book so much and hated for it to end. The character development and world building was on point and the spicy scenes were epic!!! I wish I could give Legacy more than 5 stars!!!

DAMNNNNNNNN !!!!!! Something happened to me while reading this one that has never happened before… in all my years of reading SA’s books, never has she ever made me cry especially with her dark and twisty stuff, but man, she got me a few times. Book 2 and things just got a whole lot deeper. My mind is stuck and still trying to process that ending. The queen of all things dark and twisty has once again managed to keep me on my toes , leave me in suspense, and question every thing and everyone. Sheridan has given us another fantastic book in this empire series. Further adding to this crazy addicting entrancing storyline. Legacy is masterpiece. This ride gets crazier and darker as the story goes on. The Boys and Oakley have me fired up like never before. This books is about survival. With emotions and feelings at an all time high, Oakley’s time is running short and shes determined to come up with a a plan before Zade completes his ritual, but is struggling with her feelings as she’s now fallen for the boys she has no right falling for. I’m so ready for Oakley to show these A-Holes who the real boss is. Oakley is not going down with out a fight. No one is as fearless and relentless as she is and she will burn the world before the world burns her. Book 3 can’t come fast enough. As I sit here and dread the wait, war is coming and I’m so ready for it
