First off if you are new to Stephanie Keyes’ work you may want to read my previous reviews of The Star Child (Book One) and The Fallen Stars (Book Two) before reading any further. I try not to give spoilers with my reviews but sometimes its unavoidable.

Ok, now onto The Star Catcher. The Star Catcher picks up exactly where The Fallen Stars ends. Cali and Kellen are separated and unsure how they will ever reunite if ever. Along with Cali being missing a new aspect of Gabe, Kellen’s best friend, comes to light. He is not only Kellen’s best friend anymore. He is much more and has always been a part of Kellen’s life even if Kellen was unknowing. It is up to Kellen and Gabe to figure out who has Cali and how to find her. With a missive from above, guidance is provided. Kellen and Gabe must find Cali’s now mortal sister, Rowan. She has the answers that they seek. When Kellen and Gabe find Rowan they also find Rowan’s daughter, Singer. Instantly, Gabe knows and understands how Kellen feels about Cali when he meets Singer.

Once Kellan, Gabe, Rowan and Singer team up they each have a set of goals. Gabe and Singer must find Cali and Rowan and Kellen must decide whether Kellen will continue on with his humanity or choose to become a God. When Cali is rescued Kellen and Cali finally seal the deal (get married) and enjoy one blissful night together. Unfortunately due to an impending war started by The Star Catcher the five of them must continue into Fairy. Kellen finds out that from the power of his amulet he can now do many things he once couldn’t. In fact it is within him to find his father, lift the curse of the C.O.D (Children of Danu) and defeat the Star Catcher. Though this is now within Kellan’s means it doesn’t mean he can do it alone. He must rely on not only his powers but those of the people around him. Kellen must also learn to utilize and control his new power and to think less logically and more with instinct. In the end, sacrifices will be made and tears will be shed but in the end the ultimate question is will good triumph over evil or will both the human and fairy worlds be destroyed?

I loved this book. It may even be my favorite in the trilogy, but then again I am very much like Kellen and like to know the answers to things. Stephanie Keyes does a phenomenal job of developing her characters. If you have read this series so far you will know that Kellen alone changes both physically and mentally in both books, but it is in this book that his greatest changes happen. I loved seeing more of Gabe. His role becomes very pivotal in this book and he falls into place seamlessly. Cali, though originally a God, we see much of her new humanity and with that a depth to her character that you can relate to. Rowan and Singer are the newbies in this book and extremely important to this book’s story. Their addition is flawless and very natural. The Star Catcher is everything you would want in a final book in a trilogy. It isn’t rushed or forced. The story ebbs and flows naturally and ties up all the loose ends. Overall, this book is wonderfully written and is one of the best endings in a trilogy I have seen in a while. Stephanie Keyes did justice to the story, the characters and the world she created. Her fans will not be disappointed with how the story wraps up. I think I speak for all the fans of this story that the characters will be missed, but I know Stephanie will come up with something even bigger and better. In the immortal words of Gabe, Stephanie “you are a total rock star.”

Review:

Protagonists: Kellen has come a long way as a character. Honestly, in the first couple books I felt that Kellen was a flat character, he was fairly perfect, and while he didn't have the perfect life, he didn't have many flaws either. However, in this installment I felt that Kellen finally gets some substance. He develops flaws and it really made his character more relateable. On the other end of things, with Cali I really loved in the last book that after she was mortal she gained some insecurities, however now that she's immortal again, she's once again lost her substance. She's an enjoyable character to read, but as a narrator and a protagonist, I feel as though she just comes off too perfect. Finally, we have Gabe. Honestly I love Gabe's chapters the best, while I felt that he acted a tad too immature for his age, I did feel he was the most realistic and most relateable out of all of the characters.

Romance: There is way too much insta-love in this series. You know, I could forgive it when Kellen and Cali fell in love almost instantaneously, chock it up to destiny and all that. I could even almost forgive Willock for falling for Cali after one night, though that attempt at a love triangle was a bit weak. This however is a bit too far. There are two insta-loves in this book, neither have to do with Kellen or Cali thank God, but still two is a bit much. Sure, one is only referenced, so it wasn't as terrible, but the one we did get to see really wasn't necessary. I feel as though I was robbed of getting to actually see romance bloom in this series, instead it just feels as though the flowers just decided to pop open.

World-Building: Okay, this timeline is so aggravatingly wonky. I mean, it really makes no sense whatsoever, but putting that and the multiple plot holes it creates aside. I love the world this author has created. I've said before that I'm a huge fan of mythology, and this book delivers that in spades, and in addition to that adds a great element of Faery Lore. Speaking of which this book really expands upon that lore and we get to see a bit more of Faery including the Dimension-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named, which was pretty spooky. In addition to that there is a great villain and some really amazing developments to this story as it comes to a close.

Predictability: So, I'm a bit torn on the predictability. On the one hand, a good portion of this book is predictable, simply because of very obvious foreshadowing. Kellen gets a bad feeling about something out of nowhere, that's because something bad's gonna happen. The current narrator gets some advice, that exact advice comes in to play fairly shortly after. On the other hand though, there are just amazing twists. Things that come so out of the blue, yet I'm not mad because it's revelation just adds so much depth to the story. So it's hard to really know how I feel about this, just know that it's an amalgam of good and bad predictability.

Ending: I loved this ending. First off we get some great resolution to the story, then, on top of that there's an amazing epilogue that, while surprisingly not needed for me, was something that I absolutely adored. It was a great bit of something extra that really made me smile and made the story and the characters end in a great place. I was excited to see how everything turned out and while I feel as though there may have been a character or two missing from the last few chapters and epilogue, I'm not left with too many questions.

Rating:

While it may seem that I was a bit harsh on this book, it's because I've spent the past few days so invested in this world and while this series has aggravated me to no end, I really did enjoy it. I found this book to be my favorite, and it really was a great end to a, how shall I say, interesting series.

Firstly I’d like to thank the author for sending me this eBook to read and give an honest review. I’m a big fan of this series and you can read my previous reviews on my blog.

This final book picked up where book two, The Fallen Stars, left off. Cali had been taken and Kellen was desperate to find her. In no time at all I was pulled back into the magical storyline, once again filled with danger and romance.

Even after two books the characters were still developing right before my eyes as they learned more and more about themselves and their families. For me the characters were all likeable, especially the strong supporting characters and even the bad guys seemed to spark something in me! This meant that I had my fingers and toes crossed for a good outcome as I read through the many ups and downs they faced. Singer was a great addition to the already fantastic cast, I liked her personality and I loved what she brought to the storyline.

In the middle of all the danger was a moment of peace which indulged my romantic side, I really enjoyed this little break but was excited to get back to the action! Something I had been looking forward to was their return to Faerie, I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen there.

As always the writing style was beautifully descriptive and enabled me to visualise each scene easily and clearly. I particularly enjoyed the detailed battle scenes that played out in my mind like a movie.

A fabulous epilogue ended this series in a satisfying way. It’s always sad to say goodbye to characters who I have taken to my heart but I felt that the author rounded everything up perfectly so I finished with a smile on my face.

This was another imaginative read that captivated me throughout, a wonderful finale!

at the end of 'fallen stars', i was totally freaking out. it ended on such a cliffhanger, and i absolutely HATE cliffhangers. sure, cliffhangers are a great way to get readers to keep reading, but they really suck. i as practically panicking, thinking NOOOOOOO! i have to wait to find out what happens to kellen and cali! it turns out, i didn't have to wait half as long as i expected (which was awesome) and of course, the last book totally pwnd.

it was an excellent book from an excellent series that completely lived up to my expectations. "The Star Catcher'" was the perfect combo of mythology, fantasy and romance. there sonny one part that i didn't like: the fact that it was the last one. Ok, every series HAS to end someday but I'm really going to miss Cali, Kellen and Gabe and their freaky faerie worlds. at the same time, I'm glad it was only a trilogy, becsaue having to wait for more books kills me.

what surprised me the most out of the entire book: gabe being a big ass bird. that freaked the heck out of me at the beginning. i was like WHOAH! when he started talking in bird form when kellen was riding him. at first, i thought that kellen was hallucinating. i did not expect that of him, but i liked it a lot. Gabe had always seemed a bit like the odd one out, and i was glad when he met Singer.

if you like fantasy (who doesn't) mythology, faerie and romance books, this is for you!

PS: And thank you so much for the advanced copy!

This story steams off the pages like the wisps of coffee aroma from a cup; you want to savor the taste, but you don't want to take the last sip--you don't want it to be over. I read the series in a day and a half--It was tantalizing, mesmerizing and absolutely wonderful.
Magic and mayhem compete for the readers attention as conflict rides rampant through the book--both physical and emotional. Cali has been taken, and Kellen her seventeen-year-old suitor must find her, can he magick his way into his destiny? Will his love and his brilliance save the day for the world, the children of Danu and Calienta? Ah... You'll just have to read it to find out, but I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
The author's writing style is fresh and cleanly evocative, she creates characters out of the fabric of words that are so perfectly sewn that they become your very best friends and enemies, you'll find yourself vocally rooting for the heroes and dreaming about them when you have to leave the book for a couple of hours of rest. Enchant yourself, become enmeshed in this marvelously entertaining feast of fiction.

I was given a free copy of this book for an honest review.

I haven’t read the first two books in the Star Child series yet but there was enough background information in The Star Catcher to get me up to date. I could tell that book #2 ended with a cliffhanger because this book started out with a bang and it never slowed down.

I often have trouble keeping up in books with other worlds, but Stephanie Keyes does a great job of describing her world and all of the different types of beings. Some of the concepts, like mortal vs. immortal, could be pretty complex but she explains them in a way that it is easy to understand.

The characters are interesting and each has their own strengths. While I enjoyed the love stories, I would have liked the Gabe/Singer story a little more if there had been a little courtship rather than instant falling in love. They’re both such fun characters!

If you like young adult fantasy, you’ll definitely like The Star Catcher. It’s a good book on its own but I plan on going back and reading the first two in the series (and then I’ll probably read this one again).

Wow! What an amazing story! If you like to use your imagination and want a story that will lead you into a world of gods and goddesses then this is for you! Kellen grew up with his cruel father and he was told at a very young age that is his mother had died. Kellen grew up in boarding schools and graduated from Yale at the age of 17! After he graduated is when his life really gets interesting! Kellen goes to live in his grandmother's house and what he finds he can hardly believe!!!! Full of secrets and mystery! I give it 3.5 stars!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Star Catcher by Stephanie Keyes is a superb conclusion to her Star Child series. I had the pleasure of reading all three books, and I'll be honest with you, it's been quite a while since I've read a Young Adult series that I felt was written fluently and I actually enjoyed as a whole. Stephanie Keyes' style of writing is easy for readers to understand, but that doesn't take away from the content at all. Through the Star Child series, she grabs her readers by the hand and escapes into a world of adventure, sacrifice, mystery, and most of all, indefatigable love.

In this series we meet Kellen St. James (okay, how awesome is that name?) on his graduation day. Kellen has been the victim of the most unfortunate circumstances: his mother is dead. His father is a rich snob who wants nothing to do with him. He is very much alone, aside from his 'Gran' who lived all the way across the globe until her death 3 months earlier. The only hope he has is a dream that has materialized into an experience and he isn't even sure if it's real.

As we travel through Star Child and The Fallen Stars, Keyes brings fantasy to a whole new level. By the end of the second book (which ends on a huge cliffhanger, BTW!) my mind was reeling. She had a way of adding just the perfect amount of intrigue that kept me wanting more. Just when you think you have most things figured out, she throws a curveball at you and mixes things up again.

The newest book, The Star Catcher, did not disappoint. Usually I find that in a series that one book lacks in content, or the author seems to have completely rushed the ending (this happens way more often than I wish it would. Note to authors: Keep going strong until the very end!). I was extremely pleased to find that the momentum of the story kept up until I turned that last page. This results in major brownie points for authors in my book! But anyway, I thought this was a great series. The only thing I would make a note of is the beginning of the first book started out a little slow. That isn't to say that nothing happened, but we didn't really get into the story until about a quarter way through. Other than that, I thought this was a great series.

If you're looking for a Young Adult series that is rich in content and will take you on a magickal journey of love and sacrifice with a touch of plot twisted pandemonium, then you need to run to the store and grab this series...you will love it! Oh, and you'll even enjoy looking at these GORGEOUS covers! I could just stare at them all day. I hope to see more from this author in the near future!

After the fantastic, cliff-hanger ending to The Fallen Stars, the few month wait I had before reading the final book in the trilogy was torturous! But I knew I would not be disappointed by The Star Catcher and this was a breath-taking, brilliant end to the only fantasy series I have ever managed to read to the last book. Here, I was drawn in straight away, eager for Kellen and Cali to be reunited. What happens is made much more worthwhile if you read it yourself, so I can avoid spoilers, but what I can say is this is a stunning instalment to a series I’m a little sad to see end. Stephanie Keyes has definitely become my go-to writer for these kind of wonderful fantasy novels and I’m so excited to read anything she writes in the future.

Often towards the end of a series, I find characters can become a little flat and worn out and the story a little predictable. I’d be massively underselling the author to say that was the case here. Kellen, Cali and Gabe are developed even more here and their characters are still changing. I never have the sense of expecting what’s to come from them next and different characters kept winning me over. In The Star Catcher, we get a much more involved insight into Gabe than in the previous books and I loved his character, more so than I did Kellen’s in The Fallen Stars and The Star Child. Amongst the good versus evil type of vibe this book had, Gabe brought the humour and light and he so made me smile. Stephanie also introduces us to some new, fresh characters, such as Singer who Gabe is a little taken with. The way the author creates characters never fails to impress me. I can’t think of one character throughout the entire series that I felt needed to be built on more and they’re always memorable.

Though I will say I didn’t think the flow of The Star Catcher was quite as strong as in book two, it was just as enchanting as ever. Every single step along the way to the outstanding end was important and impressive, with lots of great action and at one particular time, a bit of a more romantic side which I was so glad to see. Stephanie’s inventive style of writing and the way she builds up the plot is so enjoyable to read and as this book moved forward it became more and more tense and gripping. I’m still surprised by the twists the author always manages to hit me off-guard with and they were great, as usual. The epilogue for me summed up the sublime writing ability of an author who deserves tons of success and what a series this was. The Star Catcher was a truly spectacular novel.

After reading the first two books within the series, I completely fell in love with the entire concept, the storylines and all of the characters that go with it all. Now, after finishing the last book in the series, I can say the love I first felt for it all was still there, even now after it is over. I am very upset that it is all over now though. It feels like the end of an era. I mean this is the very first series I have actually ever finished, so I am extremely proud of that, but at the same time left with unanswered questions and like I have lost some of my favourite characters. I wish I didn't get so attached to things sometimes, because now I have to get over it. Good luck to me.

Anyway, book 3, The Star Catcher revolves around our three main characters, Kellen, Calienta and Kellen's best friend, Gabe, as well as others. Each chapter is told from the view of one of the three just mentioned, and picks up nicely from each chapter before it, just as the entire story did, after the previous book was left on a cliffhanger. The entire story is fast paced, and filled to the brim with pure excitement and suspense. There are hardly any dull moments at all.

It was wonderful reuniting with the story, but most of all the characters, whom I adore very much, especially Gabe, who after the previous book, found a special place in my heart. In the first book, he was more of a background character, in the second, he came into his own, but in the final part, Gabe becomes so much more and proves himself in a way even he had no idea he could do. I absolutely loved him, always put a smile on my face and added a slight humour to the story, as well as a strong determination. The definition of a perfect character.

As for Kellen and Calienta, their love and friendship continues to grow stronger, and even when they are put in difficult situations, are still able to keep finding each other and fighting for what they want. At times, I found Kellen to be slightly arrogant, as well as only caring for Calienta, even though his best friend was there also. It made me start to dislike Kellen, not a lot, but he lost some of the admiration I once had for him. Near the end, I did get to see the original Kellen again which I was more than happy with.

Overall, it was a brilliant finish to the series, and I will definitely have to reread it in the future to relieve the magic.

*Sigh* What can I say about this third and final installment in The Star Child series. Nothing much, actually, except to say that I absolutely am in love with the story and the characters and just every aspect of this wonderful piece of work.

To be honest, I had never heard of The Star Child series of books before getting the opportunity to read this book. So when I was also given the first two along with this last one, so that I could start from the beginning and gain a better perspective of what I would be reading with this third book in the series, I absolutely dove in with great vigor.

So much has been revealed throughout this entire series, things pertaining to Alex and his lineage, Calienta and her own lineage, a prophecy pertaining to the two and the fate of the Children of Danu, and secrets that have been kept for years. And even with this last part of the story, there will be twists and turns to satisfy the reader while also trying to tie up loose ends.

This book is written in many different points of view, giving us an almost 360 perspective of what is going on. I love this. Mainly because we get to know what each character is going through and their general thoughts about their situations. We get to delve into their minds. YAY! I LOVE DELVING!!

I also love the fact that Gabe is given a little love interest in this book. Okay, so maybe it is a BIG love interest, but still...it's kinda cute.

Alex and Calienta will have to fight if they want to be reunited, and the fate of the world depends on them winning that fight. I LOVE IT!! But the thing is, they have so much support from the people they love. I BELIEVE IN THEM!!!

Overall, I absolutely have enjoyed this series and this last book especially, and I just know from the bottom of my heart that this author is going to wow us even more with future works.

There are basically no more words for this book. Well, at least two more. They are literally chanting in my head at this very moment. "Read it! Read it!" So please, listen to the voices stating those words in my mind. Pick up this book...this series...and tuck in for a beautiful ride.

Amazing and epic conclusion to The Star Child series!

I was very devastated when Cali and Kellen got separated in the ending of The Fallen Stars. I just wanted to dive into this story so I could find out about their journey once again. TSC picks up where TFS left off. Kellen always has Gabe, his best friend, for support and Gabe jumps right in to help him all while discovering that Gabe means much more to him (Kellen) than he thinks.

Kellen and Gabe set out to find Rowan, Cali’s mortal sister because she is the one that has the answers that they have been seeking. While visiting Rowan, Gabe meets Singer, Rowan’s daughter and he instantly feels something for her.

The group finally rescues Cali and Kellen and her finally get to really be married and have their wedding night but it is short lived because the long-awaited war has arrived. Kellen needs to decide whether to stay mortal or become a god in order to access powers to save the world.

First, I must say I love the covers in the series so much! The Star Child was a fantastic read and I enjoyed a lot! The Fallen Stars was still good but I felt it slacked a little bit. The Star Catcher comes in and it is beyond phenomenal! I love Stephanie Keyes writing, I love how descriptive and emotional her writing can be. She can really drag you in the story without you ever realizing it. And she succeeded once again in delivering the epic conclusion to The Star Child series.

In every book of the series, new characters are introduced. In TSC, Rowan and Singer get introduced and they play a major role in this story. The characters are very well portrayed and so in-depth and in-sync with the story. Fans of Young Adult Fantasy will certainly not be disappointed at all with this series. It is something different, something new, something extraordinary.

Stephanie, once again I applaud you for your entertaining and amazing series you have written. I cannot wait to read more works from this author!

Upon starting this book, I was a little worried that I wasn't going to remember what was going on, the various characters, who is good and who is evil but sooner or later, I was right back to where I had left off at the end of The Fallen Stars and was straight back into the magical world with Kellen and Cali and the very much anticipated end to their story. In the third and final instalments of Kellen's journey, he's about to face his biggest challenge yet. His wife, Cali, has been kidnapped and the biggest battle in Faerie history is about to go down and only Kellen and one other person can save the entire world from destruction. Will Kellen ever get his happy ending with Cali?

I loved the introduction to new characters in this book - Rowan, Cali's sister and Singer, Rowan's daughter. Singer quickly became one of my absolute favourite characters because of her wit and sarcastic nature. I instantly warmed to her, even though some people didn't! However, it was great to catch up with all our old favourites again and I very much enjoyed the multiple viewpoints in this book; Kellen's, Gabe's, Singer's and Cali's. What struck me more with this book than the others is how easily identifiable the characters were based on their individual narratives. By this I mean that if Steph hadn't mentioned who each chapter belonged to, I probably would have been able to guess based on how they talk and I think that's a very talented thing to be able to do.

I read this book so quick, as a huge fan of the first two I was so incredibly excited to see how it would all end and come together and personally, I think the ending was perfect. The last line in particular. The entire story is mind-blowing with imagination and I think it all got tied up perfectly. The time and effort that must have gone into this series to make everything flow and make sense - even in a completely imaginary world that doesn't make sense - is incredible. I remember reading the first book and thinking what a talented author Steph was and now, after finished the last instalment I still admire the incredible story she's told here. I'm still waiting to hear that the film rights have been bought.

**Copy received from the Tour**

The characters embark on a journey any mortal would have thought not possible. It has been magical and adventurous for Kellen and for me too as a reader of the book. He has carried the prophecy on his shoulders. He is essential as he is the only one who could put an end to the evil that lurks in his life and everyone he loves. I've been given the chance to have seen the works of each of the characters - Cali, Kellen and Gabe. I'm proud of these characters because they demonstrated themselves well and fought bravely for what is right. Kellen did not complain, he just set his heart on helping create peace in the world where it deserves to be and where Cali is, he will be there for her.

For huge fans of fantasy, romance and fairly good context, this is made for you! You have to have the book for your next read! I felt that I have been taken away from my own miserable life when I chose to read the book. Despite its flaws like the problem that goes like a cycle. It keeps circling back to the main one from the beginning. I don't understand those parts. That's probably one of the reasons why I had some difficulty with the book. I took longer time to finish it. I particularly had a pleasant time stuck with it at that point in time, but other times I didn't.

The tone of how the characters developed and sounded is kind of mature, in my opinion. The writing is acceptable and decent which I like. It serves an appealing plot to readers. It feels different from the other fantasy books I've read before. I can only assure you that it will definitely be worth your time! The ending...well, it'll put a smile on your face. At first, I thought it has Greek mythology in it, judging from the book cover but it is more than that. It's called astonishing.

I have been long awaiting this 3rd book in the Star Child Series. I enjoyed the other books so much that I almost devoured this book to find out what had happened to Kellen, Cali and Gabe. Stephanie Keyes has created such a wealth of characters, myth and magic that transport the reader to a world of faeries, spells, shape shifters and a battle of epic proportions. Good against evil. I have a little soft spot for the lovely Gabe and its not often that a supporting character interests me but I love his humour and his loyalty to Kellen. The relationship between Kellen and Cali is a beautiful and heartwarming story of young love against all the odds. The mortal and immortal worlds collide and make it difficult for the young couple to find true happiness.

Stephanie Keyes has once again delivered the goods with this book. It had me hooked from page one almost immediately. It begins exactly where the last book left off so I'd recommend you read all the books in the series to allow for better understanding of the central characters and the challenges that they face. The Star Catcher is exciting and fast paced and had me hold my breath in anticipation on more than one occasion. It has a slightly more mature theme than the previous books as Kellen and Cali's relationship progresses. However, this is done in a beautiful and breathtaking way and remains completely suitable for young adults. I'd highly recommend this series to all! What an imagination Stephanie Keyes has!

Cali has been taken. Kellen knows not by whom. all he knows his, he needs her, and they will be together! He now has control of a powerful amulet that is destined to joins all the worlds of Faerie back together, but at a price. Kellen must make a choice, and its not one he takes lightly. He also needs to find his father, his REAL father, not theone who was a changling placed in his place. Together, the two of them, will heal Faerie, and release the Children of Danu.

more twists and turns in this one than book two! the full Prophecy is revealed, Gage's secret is also finally revealed and we meet more of Cali's family that choose to become mortal. Gage also meets his soul mate, and finally understands what Kellen is going through, with Cali missing. Cali, meanwhile, is trying to remember all her father told her about the stars, and their back doors, so she can escape. Cali and Kellen get married, YAY! and they have their time together, even if is it short.

although this one doesnt flow QUITE as well as The Fallen Stars, its still much better than The Star Child, and even though Kellen and Cali get their moment, its relatively clean and still suitable, in MY opinion, for my 13 yr old to read.

i enjoyed following Kellen and Calienta on their journey, and even though i did not enjoy the first book very much, i will miss them now its all come to an end.

Kellen St. James needs to rescue Cali, the love of his life, from being kidnapped by the Star Catcher. If that isn’t enough a war is on the horizon.

I really like Kellen St. James. He has undergone a lot before book 3, The Star Catcher even starts: he finds out he is a Fae prince; his fiancé is kidnapped, and he is named in a prophecy. He seems to handle everything that is thrown at him pretty well. He grows throughout the novel and remains a good person.

I enjoy that the story is told from multiple viewpoints. This especially works for this story because so much is going on in numerous places.

Stephanie Keyes does a great job creating a remarkable universe. I especially enjoy the various stars. The Star Catcher is an imaginative story that is rather unique. There are a lot of actions that keep you interested throughout the novel.

I would like thank LAHE for sending me a copy of this in exchange for a fair and honest review (at least I think it was LAHE who sent this to me).

Cover!
I love all the covers in this series, this one is just as gorgeous.

Book!
Having read the 1st two books I couldn't wait to read this one too.

I love this series of books and I'm sad that it has ended or has it?

In this book we see the story from Kellens, Cali's and Gabe's point of view and this added another brilliant aspect to the story, I think Gabe is brilliant.

There's so much happens in this book but it is all told brilliantly and ties in with being told from the different POV's.

We also have new characters, some evil and some good, I love Gabe's new love interest Singer.

Stephanie had me guessing how things would turn out and would Kellen finally find his really father and complete his destiny, I really wasn't disappointed with the ending as I have been with so many other books.

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for your interest in The Star Child and for following Kellen and Calienta's saga through to the end. In this final installment, we get to learn many of Gabe's secrets—he even gets a love interest. Kellen and Calienta were separated at the end of The Fallen Stars and they need to fight to get back together. With the help of Gabe and some new characters, Singer and Rowan, Kellen reuinites with Cali and focuses on a new goal. Saving his real father. As they race through the world of Faerie, the true plot of Ainmire's—to unleash the Scourge, a culmination of all the evil in the world—is revealed. Can Kellen and Cali stop Ainmire in time? Who will live? Will they put an end to The Star Catcher?

This final book in the series picked up right where book two left off, which was cool because there was a major cliffhanger at the end of the second book, The Fallen Stars. Also, I really wanted to know what was going on with Gabe. The Star Catcher hooked me from the first page. This isn't your garden-variety Fantasy, but instead it's more accessible, easy to follow with great world-building. The characters were so well done, I found myself thinking of them even after I finished the book.

A brilliant ending to what has become a favorite series! Ms Keyes’ knows exactly how to pluck emotions as if they were no more than well tuned strings in an accomplished harpist's fingers. You’ll hold your book (or e-reader) tight and force your family to eat leftovers until you’ve read the last page and savored every second of your book hangover. Whatever comes next from Ms Keyes’ I will be first in line to get it!

I've been a fan of this series since the beginning. However, this final book is the best one yet. If you loved Kellen and Calienta, you have to read The Star Catcher.
