Together with Spearman and Heavy Warrior, Goblin Slayer takes on the Demon's Tower. No doubt his plan of attack will be suitably inventive...! And while he's off on this adventure, Cow Girl and Priestess use their day wandering around town to...try on bikini armor?! Plus, after High Elf Archer and Guild Girl go underwear shopping together, they team up for a round of tabletop gaming! These, and many more, are the stories of the people surrounding Goblin Slayer. This window into their separate yet connected lives closes with this volume-don't miss it!
Good read, side stories to the main storyline rated mature for certain scenes and content however not my favourite out of the series, would recommend for those wanting to read about some of the other characters.
Another enjoyable read. Carrying on in a similar vein as the first book. This book contained a number of short stories with slight touches of humour. The first story followed Cow Girl as she explores the town on a rare day off. The amusing commentary on fantasy female armour was brilliant as well as introducing this worlds very own dungeon and dragons game. The second story follows Goblin Slayer joining up with two other silver ranked adventurers on a quest to mysterious tower. The amusing byplay between the three adventurers is funny. The third story was more of an interlude with a focus on the heroes who defeated the demon lord and saved the world. The fourth story explores the day of high elf ranger when she isn't adventuring. The fifth story covers how the elf, dwarf and lizardman came together and set off in search of Goblin Slayer. The last story shows us the impact Goblin Slayer has on the town and its inhabitants with a number of previous stories being tied into this one. It was a quiet end. A worthy edition to add to the collection, but it will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

And now we take a look at another side of the stories.
Two things struck me when finishing these volumes. The first is that being a Goblin Slayer manga (even if it focuses on others mostly) has a huge menacing GS on the cover ready to strike. It is not a bad picture or anything but I wouldn't mind seeing High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman, and Lizard Priest hanging out around a campfire since the tale of how they met before finding Goblin Slayer and Priestess is told in this book. Okay the 2nd thing is these stories are sometimes connected to both the Year One stories and main series so it is possible you might see character's you have not meet in the volume if you are not caught up on the story. I am not sure if such knowledge will be enough to ruin your experience (and may even enhance it because you saw it from another angle already) but I personally don't think the stories from these books will be to spoilerific.
Just like the first volume we get an assortment of short tales but I should mention that there is plenty (as in pages worth) of High Elf Archer fan service where she wakes up in the buff and does her morning routine likewise without her clothes though nothing is really shown thanks to the power of convenient placement censoring. The story also gets a little corny at one point (Pun totally intended), the guild has created a miniature based RPG game to help adventures strategize (though now it is only being used as a game among the characters), and Goblin Slayer takes up a none Goblin quest because he needs money. Watch as Goblin Slayer teams up with Heavy Warrior and Spearman as they take on an important quest from the King himself. Sometimes you have to think outside the box to really put the hurt on the baddies. :)
