Officer Brian Henderson knows there is something just not right about Walt Marlow, and he's determined to find out what it is. Meanwhile, Beverly's dead husband visits Danielle in a dream hop, telling her about his wife's part in his death. Can Danielle convince Brian to stop worrying about Walt and be a little more concerned about his new girlfriend, Beverly? (Large Print)
Loved it. The history gang sure wanted those apple crates full of history papers about the town of Fredericksport. The Klan was very dominant in the past. And finally Beverly gets her just desserts after killing her husband Steve a few books back. Walt finally visits Angela whom is now onto the next journey. Can't wait to dive into the next one in this incredibly series.
It's difficult for me to even think about giving any book in this series less than 5 stars. Yes, it's my favorite series. Just when you think an old murder in another book is over and done up it pops again. That is the case in this book when Danielle is visited in a "dream hop" by Steve, who died suspiciously several books ago. He tells her that his wife Beverly murdered him. There's no way to accuse Beverly without evidence but of course that doesn't matter in this series. With the help of ghosts and a little coincidences anything is possible. This book also delves into the background of the town and gives a glimpse into the town forefathers, ancestors of fine upstanding citizens, who were not as upstanding. The KKK disturbs me but unfortunately, it was a part of history. And I always enjoy the antics of Walt Marlow. Being alive again does not stop his powers of levitation.
This time the history of the KKK is explored in more detail. Hints had been dropped earlier, but this story gives more information about the players. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was disappointed with how the story played out. There isn’t any true resolution, and honestly, this is not a light subject. I wish this book idea had skipped Holmes’ mind. If you are going to take on something as delicate and heated as racism, it needs to be handled correctly. That being said, I love this series, but this book is my least favorite.
(Rating based on this series only) This book was disappointing. Like the last one it was wrapping up an old mystery, one that I think we should have let lie. I didn’t really care if Beverly was ever brought to justice or not.
I don’t understand why Danielle and Walt’s relationship is still so platonic. They act like 10 year olds who said they are dating on the playground but only hold hands and then giggle about it. It is weird and completely unrealistic (yes the whole circumstance is but come on!).
This one was boring. I’ve read YA with more sexual chemistry. Are these book secretly Christian romance and I missed it? So confused at this point.

The Ghost Who Dream Hopped (Book 18) By Bobbi Holmes, Anna J McIntyre
Five stars, One past murder was solved, an assault was solved , but I don't think the mystery of the historical society was solved.. I think Danielle should have confronted them.. Especially the pastor, their fathers were klan members that should have been dealt with.. But I love the relationship of Walt and Danielle
What another fantastic Haunting Danielle mystery!!
Another great page turner. These story lines get better and better. Love the way several mysteries run through the main one and in the end solving one solves all. Walt is just great and I'm so glad he's getting his ghostly powers back. It makes him so much more interesting. Can't wait for the next addition to this series!!
I simply cannot get enough of this series. Please write longer books so they will last longer. And write more of them. I re-read the first 17 books before starting this one in order to refresh my memory. It was the same wonderful experience all over again. Thank you for bringing these people/characters into my life.
3.5 stars. Another good cozy mystery with characters that are great. Without giving any spoilers, I’m still wishing certain things would progress faster though. Promising ending.
Things are finally settling into place at the Marlow House B & B. Danielle and Walt are finding new footings until one of her dreams is intruded on by her former bank manager Steve Klein, who was murdered - but not by the mafia - by his own wife Beverly, who is now dating policeman Brian Henderson!!! Steve wants Danielle to bring this information to the Police Chief, which she does, but there is no proof. In the meantime, Beverly decides she wants to clean out her garage. In doing so, she finds several boxes that Steve had stored there, which contained photos and newspaper clippings that appear to belong to the museum! And therein starts the problems ... there are people out there who do not want the information in those boxes to be found, and they will go to great lengths to prevent that from happening.
Just honestly in love with this series! I am 20 years old and love that the book isn’t based of high schoolers like a lot of other stuff I usually ready. It is very different for me but I do admit i fell in love with the characters and events. Reminds me a lot of the show “Ghost Whisper” staring Jennifer Love Hewitt. If you enjoy that show I highly recommend this series! This book in particular brought out a lot of hatred since we know what happened to the characters but the people in the book do not! I highly enjoyed!
Events from the past affect Danielle and Walt as she helps him adjust to life in the current day. Recent and decades old bad behavior crash into their lives and threaten their fragile new beginning. Walt's transformation of Clint's body and life continues with his telekinetic abilities. Plans for remodeling the attic of Marlow House become very interesting with the discovery of a hidden staircase. Another interesting book in the series.

Danielle and Walt are on the prowl again as a ghost dream hops into danielle's dream to bring a message to his widow, Beverly. He knows she was the one who spiked his tacos, leading to his death. He wants her to turn herself in.
Meanwhile, boxes have been found with historical documents that show the town and a few of the ancestors in a bad light. How far will some of the town folk go to keep those records from seeing the light of day?
I'm officially hooked on this series. I don't know for how long, though. The author keeps slipping things into the story that are irritating, like finding out some secret from the past that just happens to not have been mentioned in the previous 17 volumes. But it's also uncanny how things that ARE in the previous books are brought back to life and turned into an entire plot. I wonder if the author has them all planned out from the beginning or if she reaches back to the first or second novel and says, "Gee, I could flesh that out and make a whole story about it."
At least this time, nobody dies, and the crime doesn't happen in Marlowe House, and a previous sort of benign character is fleshed out and gets their comeuppance. I was beginning to wonder if that would ever happen. Now I'm just waiting to find out when Brian and Joe will be brought into the group of friends who knows about the ghosts. Brian knows something is up, but he's not exactly sure what and is chasing red herrings. I wish that Marie was more of an integral part of the story. Maybe she will be later. She kind of comes and goes at the author's convenience.
This series is one of my very favorites, hands down. Amazing thought process from the author, amazing writing, well thought out plots. I do have to say that I find it slower reading since Walt got his second chance - don't get me wrong - I love the main characters and it was inevitable that Walt become human. It's a heart warming love story and I hope to one day see it as a tv series! I just feel its been a little slower in the last 2 books in the series. With that said, I will be continuing to read this series as I am truly invested in the characters and look forward to seeing what happens to them as their lives progress.
Great read - so glad I stumbled upon Haunting Danielle!
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. (Audible Membership)
A ghost high jacking your dreams to pass on information on who murdered them, and how, is Danielle's reality. However, even with this information, the real world needs evidence to convict someone of the crime. Having a police chief that is prepared to accept such wayout explanations as a dream hop, as to how a person knows certain information, is definitely a bonus.
I am not usually fond of romance, but this story mixes it with a hefty dose (or three) of mystery, so it works quite well. Walt is alive again, and enjoying living with Danielle. A bad guy gets caught in the end and mysteries get unraveled, all in a charming seaside town, with a lovely B&B. Did I miss anything? Read the book to find out. A+ Bravo!
This book solves a couple of mysteries not solved previously. I still think Ben is hiding more than anyone knows yet. Danielle and Walt could still be in danger. The mystery is well written, as usual. The dynamics between the six friends, plus the Chief, is entertaining.
This book started out very interesting with the dream hopping. Lots of blah, blah, blah in the middle; and ending okay. Maybe if I had read prior books in series, since this is #18, I might have enjoyed more. Had several cool paranormal ideas throughout. Maybe I will give it another shot from the beginning of Marlow House.
The Ghost who Dream Hopped. (Haunting Danielle book18)
This is another winner. Bobbi writes wonderful characters and great storylines in every book. Her characters are wonderful and you want to keep reading about them. You want to see what will happen in next book. I highly recommend all her books and different series. Diana Romano
Though I appreciate the switch up of doing the double mystery thing, this one missed the mark for me. One of the mysteries totally fizzled out creating a very anticlimactic ending. And while the other wrapped up well with Beverly, I wish we had gotten some sort of closure from Steve…I mean the book is titled “The GHOST Who Dream Hopped” after all.

If you've read book #17 you know that the man ghost has become human. While the transition of making the human form into his own image, I feel that Walt lost his personality; he's just not as vibrant as he was in his spirit form. I felt Danielle spoke for him too much in this book. The storyline is what keeps me reading this series.
Ooooooookay! This one is another new favorite for sure! So many twists and turns and more about Walt's past, Katherine O'Malley's story (Walt's housekeeper who got his estate so his brother-in-law wouldn't get any of it through Walt's wife), the town's past, Beverly's comeuppance (you'll know if you read a previous book 😉), and so much more. Absolutely LOVED this one 😍
I have read all of the Haunting Danielle books and in my opinion, this is the best yet! Steve Klein is dead but not forgotten. Beverly, dead Steve's wife, is dating Brian. And acting a bit strange. Great adventures ensue!
The ghost who dream hopped only hopped once never even heard from the ghost again. The stuff with Walt is starting to become cringe worthy now. I have preordered the next book but can it it being my last if it doesn't pick up.
Ah, the awesome mysteries I have come to love are back. This book had a great storyline, again with multiple plot lines. Another one of those I could not put down until I finished it.
I’ve read a lot in this series and I’ve loved all of them, but this was seemed to be lacking something...the writing seemed different...sort of “see Jane, see dick, see janeand dick run”, kind of juvenile ... I did finish it but .....
It was definitely an intriguing book. It was heartfelt and informative. I learned a lot reading this book and especially about the kkk. It was very interesting to day the least. Can't wait until the next one comes out.
Danielle try's to always do the right thing. She has such a good heart. Walt is unbelievably caring an sweet. The romance is bumpy but it keeps them together. Nice book, love the ending
There were two plot lines happening and the bulk of the book focused on the less interesting one, unfortunately. I was hoping there'd be a bigger reveal than what happened. Still a good story, overall!
