I loved it. Caitlin looks so eager to have a dog, and falls in love with Winston. However, she
gets heart-broken when she hears James from her class is going to buy Winsto as she goes
to the animal shelter to see him, and he would be gone. James and gis parents arrive to the
shelter, and it turns out they take aother dog home called Molly as the breed Winston is likes
to chase small, furry creatures like cats. Caitlin is relieved to hear that but stills ad because
Winston is so cute that someone will buy him. Will Caitlin ever get him. It is Caitlin's birhday
and she is STILL upset. But shhe gets really happy later when she opens her gifts, and she is
shocked what her presents are. She really likes her gifts. So much that she is happier than
ever. I recommend you to read this book. You will really enjoy it. The reason she goes to the shelter at forst is for her school, for fundraising. She presents it to the class. then, the class
votes, who is the best? Will she win? Read this book to find out will she get the puppy and will
she get voted the best? It is a very good book, one of my favourites.

Caitlin scours through endless lists of charities, searching for the perfect one for her class project. It isn't until she visits an animal shelter that she knows she's found the ideal fit. The air is thick with the smell of hay and pet fur as she walks through the rows of cages, each filled with creatures longing for a home. And then she sees him – Winston, a small and scruffy puppy with soulful eyes and a heartbreaking past. Her heart swells with determination as she works tirelessly to find him a loving family. Her big brother Aidan surprises her one day, having seen firsthand her deep connection with Winston. Through her sketches, readers witness the little pup's undeniable cuteness come to life on paper. Though there are moments of doubt and worry, Caitlin's unwavering love and dedication never falters. And in the end, it's clear that every dog, like Winston, deserves a happy ending and a forever home. Animal lovers will be captivated by this heartwarming tale and reminded of the countless four-legged friends out there waiting for their chance at a forever family.

Caitlin and her brother Aidan go to see a shelter full of cats and dogs in this book as Caitlin has to do a school project for a charity which she chooses the animal shelter.

It's there she meets Winston a whippet she falls in love with only when a school friend looks set to adopt him even her birthday can't cheer her up it seems...

A great story once again about saving animals and loving/caring for them too. Caitlin is a relatable character who cares so much in her actions inspired by the school project a heart warming read.

At first Caitlin is unable to think of a suitable charity for her class project, but when she visits a local animals rescue shelter, she knows she's found the perfect one. She falls in love with Winston, one sweet puppy with a sad back story, and determines to help him find the right home. Her project is a success, and while Caitlin volunteers at the shelter and spends time with Winston and the other dogs, she worries that someone else will adopt him, even though she knows that he deserves a good home. Readers' hearts will be in their throats when James, one of her classmates, and his family visit the shelter and come THAT close to taking him home. But Caitlin also knows that her parents have said no to her many requests for a dog so maybe spending time with Winston, a whippet, is the best she can hope for. It's a good thing that others, including her big brother Aidan, have been keeping an eye on Caitlin and have noted how hard she's been working and how much she and Winston love each other, and they have a big surprise for her. There are plenty of small sketches to accompany the accessible text, so that readers don't need to imagine for themselves just how adorable Winston is. While I never doubted that there'd be a happy ending to this story, I was a bit worried at certain points. Anyone who loves animals, especially wriggly puppies, will find joy through this story. And it almost goes without saying that there are many great adoptable dogs like Winston just waiting for their forever homes, maybe with one of us.

Aw, this was incredibly sweet, I loved the protagonist's shyness in this one. Though, I have to admit, the puppy on the cover does look quite demonic at first glance.
