This gentle story shows how small acts of kindness can help anyone feel included and allow them to see how wonderful they truly are! This story is a follow up to the #1 Amazon Best Seller, I'm NOT just a Scribble...
Everyone LOVES colorful Scribbles and bright Splatters but what about...Invisible Scribble?
Invisible Scribble is the new scribble to the group and he is worried he will never fit in because he can't make a colorful swirl. It took kindness from the Scribbles, the Splatters and the Snippets to show him how he was always a masterpiece!
This is a great book for any child but especially a child starting at a new school or a child feeling they are not good enough to make friends. Sometimes all it takes is a little kindness and a little confidence to make a BIG difference!
Written for children ages 3-7 years old, this little read illustrates how kindness can change a life. Invisible scribble was a scribble just like all the other scribbles but he was sad because he was invisible. He watched the Red scribbles and Blue scribbles and all the other colors have so much fun and all he ever wanted to do was join in, but he couldn't because no one could see him. Until one day, Red and Blue scribbles heard Invisible's concerns and worked to give them some of his color. They encountered even more problems and it took all of the scribbles and some of the Snippets to figure out how to help Invisible. Invisible was so grateful for the help that he thanked them for changing his life. What a humble scribble he was . This story was an adorable tale of inclusion and generosity. I would put this on any classroom book shelf.
Genre: Children's Picture Book - Fiction Age: PreK-3rd
Invisible Scribble is a great life lesson and art lesson all wrapped up in one cute little story about a scribble. It's a great read aloud for lower elementary students and a great way to introduce the lesson that everyone has value - we just sometimes need some help in finding our way! Teaching a crayon resist art lesson is like magic the first time students do it. This book is a great introduction for that lesson!
A wonderful message and adorable illustrations are all inside Invisible Scribble. Invisible is a sad Scribble because no one can see his lines and swirls like the other Scribbles. Lucky for Invisible, all the Scribbles, Splatters and Snippets band together to help Invisible feel seen. Perfect for the blossoming artist in your life.
I always love the books in this series, and this one is no exception. I love the message here that no matter how lonely and left out you may feel, you can bring something beautiful to the table (or wall!).
Invisible would give anything to have color. Invisible feels left out because everyone has scribble color except him. A great story for teaching children to be happy with themselves.
Not the book for me. Kind of dull and uninspiring in its message. However if you’re into painting or children that really are into painting then perhaps this is the hook for you.
Invisible said, “there must be something wrong with me”
Invisible struggled to feel important, to be seen, to be part of the art others created. With the help of his friends, Scribble, Snippet, and Splatter, he discovers what is unique about himself is exactly what makes him special. Diane Alber wrote a wonderful book about appreciating others in their unique ways. And there are fantastic “next steps” to do and discuss afterwards. It is a perfect book for teaching character traits and valuing the special traits in others.
What happened? No matter which way he turned, no matter what he did, no swirl lines. He wasnt good enough, to hang on the wall. He so wanted to be on the wall. Red and blue saw how sad he was and decided to help. They decided to turn very fast and maybe some color would come off. What happened? Did scribble get color? Do you have scribble pictures on the wall at your house? I used to scribble all the time when I was young. Never thought of putting it on a wall or add things like in this book. Good luck and happy scribbling.
Just when I thought she couldn’t come out with another book I love she proved me wrong! ‘Invisible Scribble’ is such a great read! It’s a wonderful lesson on how some people can feel lonely and unseen and what we can do to help by just including them! I cant wait to read this new story to my 4 year old class! My 2 year old, almost 3 loved it as well. She loved pointing out all the colors as usual!
I was very excited to fade this story, it made me feel like using colors to create something. I love the moral of the story, a good read and lesson behind it is fantastic
A common question I am sure most parents have answered, "Why is white included when it doesn't show up?". Well here you go, the next time you get asked this question this is the perfect book. A fun and colorful story about working together and including everyone.
