Loved the story, but the dialogues not so much. It felt a bit shallow. Liliana is really cool.

A new Planesmaster is introduced, one who is a necromancer and teacher at a school for magic. She is poked by Tesserit into a plot to free a mage of incredible power who causes almost instant madness in those around her. It's actually not bad. It takes place between volumes 2 and 3 of the Magic series from Boom by Jed Mackay.

A side story from the main Magic comic published by Boom. It doesn't amount to much in the context of the wider story, and the art is wildly inconsistent with at least one issue being handed to a different artistic team every 2-3 pages. Deadlines have to be met, sure (although this is a side story, so they don't actually have to be), but this kind of whiplash detracts from the experience.

Much of MtGs lore is not very compelling. Great art tho!
