The origin story of Amara, the character who is also in the second movie of Pacific Rim.

The story is short and simple. The twists and development was expected and predictable. It didn't really impress me.

Extra star for the artwork.

A very touching story about how Amara grew to be the fiesty young Jaeger tech and pilot that she is in the movie and next book. It made me tear up a bit.

The comic matches the expectations I had after this horrible sequel movie.

I enjoyed the character designs and the basic concept of an Amara origin story, but it's short length leads to pretty noticeable pacing and character development issues, and I personally don't think that the blue/grey/green tones of the entire book nor the focus on mechs really allow the artist's best work to shine. also... technically this book retcons the fact that Amara built Scrapper herself so do with that what you will.
