I love Shadowbringers, and I love FF art in general. Really beautiful stuff in here. Only thing that would make it better is if there were design notes or something.
High quality paper with a fantastic feel. The colors are vibrant and the binding is solid. Once you get to armor sets and weapon sets, it almost feels like a catalogue for the WoL to go through and pick out what to strive for next. I'd highly recommend the art books to those who cosplay, as it gives a solid look to what the outfits should be like, grant it, you can do that in the game as well but hey, art.
Comes with a minion which is very cute, I love the little animations that are done when you stand idle.
Excited for the second artbook for this expansion and for future releases as well.
A lovely collection devoted to my favourite game and expansion. I would've loved to see more written descriptions and snippets, either bits of lore or thoughts from the artists, but no matter. I could stop and appreciate so many more details in-game after spending time perusing this book, and I'm happy to give it a place on my shelves.
Much better than the Ishgard artbook, there was more variety of art instead of just every single armor piece and every single weapon. There was much more for those studying character design this time around :) I also really loved all of the big landscape pieces!
I love me some video game artbooks and this is one of my favorite ones to date. Gorgeous artwork and details that add to my love for Shadowbringers as a whole. Can't wait to collect the rest of them!
I love the imagery, and shadowbringers is one of my favorite expansions. But I wish there some descriptions or comments. Also some full-page images are cut by the middle of the book.
NICHE AND BIASED, BUT A must-buy/must-read for anyone remotely interested in a visual deep dive into the concept art. This volume contains artwork from patch 5.0 (Shadowbringers release). Beautiful illustrations of all sizes.
YES this is copy/pasta of my review of other volumes with updated patch notes. Same feelings, same wonderful work.
