Gosho Aoyama (青山剛昌) is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known as the creator of the manga series Detective Conan (known in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom as Case Closed).
Aoyama made his debut as a manga artist with the work Chotto Matte which was published in the weekly magazine Shōnen Sunday on winter of 1987. Shortly after that, another work by Aoyama, Magic Kaito, was published on the same magazine.
What a voloume!! I couldn't stop reading! One of the best volumes in the series. I had a bad feeling and what i was afraid from happened. I love akai so much at this point, probably my favorite. But this is bad omen because my favorites dont always have a HEA. But overall, this was one of the most gripping and fast paced volumes and one of the best Black organization stories if not THE best because many things were revealed and so much action! I think now we'll take a break from the BO and focus on Mori (and his boring cases, can't help it), Heiji and the kids and hopefully, Kaito!! I found out recently that we actually saw his true looks before and i was distracted or something and didn't notice that this is Kaito and guess what! He's so hot xD more than Shinichi. But the latter will always be my favorite (after akai.) I think i'll read his manga soon because he's such an interesting character.
Sebenarnya kasihan juga sama Conan kepaksa berlaku kayak anak kecil padahal kadang2 sebel Orang terdekat kita bisa saja menyimpan rahasia besar sehingga membuat kita merasa tidak mengenalinya. Seru..............!
Probably the most insane, edge-of-your seat, unputdownable book in the whole series so far. I can't believe so much crazy stuff fit in eleven chapters! And the setup at the end makes for even more suspense in volume 59. I can't wait!!
Also, Shuichi Akai is my number one pick for my zombie apocalypse team.
1. Starting with a new lead to know more about Eisuke-San and his lost sister we conclude that Mizunashi Rena is not his real sister but he is the son of this man called Hondou! We know that Mizunashi Rena killed the father of Eisuke-San (or am I wrong?)
2. But still I think Eisuke-san is a big suspicious so yeah!
3. The next case is the money fraud, I think Conan was talking too much 😅 like are they used to Conan talking or??
4. The next case is the maid killing the dad and the son (the year before) which is tragic since the hit and run incident caused by the son is even more tragic tbh.
5. We move to the case of Satan-san which is my fav! I don’t know if it’s the spotlight that was given to Japanese metal rockstars or the name “Satan-san” is funny of all of it.
6. AND FINALLY ANOTHER MOURI CHAPTER WHERE ITS HIS POV TALKING! fun chapter and suits the time since New Years is next week 🎊🎈🙏
All in all, I hope the next chapter is another fun one where we have more Heiji+Kazuha or Sato+Takagi or Sonoko+Makoto OR MORE PLOT DEVELOPMENT!!
The syndicate is showing more of its hand then I can remember in the previous volumes of Case Closed. I would like to say that it is drawing closer to its climactic conclusion, but I believe this storyline will exist right up until the series ends…and as far as I know it is still going strong. I suspect there is many more twists and turns involving the Men in Black but I will say that this volume does attempt to make some grand changes to the series, and I think for the most part it succeeds. Lots of twists and turns and the story was engaging. If you have been reading the series for some time now, you will recognize most if not all the people who the main story rotates around. I think if the results of this volume continue on into future volumes this might be worth revisiting and giving an additional star.
The FBI try to outsmart the Black Organization, there's a red herring (Wait, "Red"? Pun unintended, ehehe) and not everyone is working on the same plan. Includes some fun tricks and a car chase and a bunch of risky gambits. Lots of fun!
Ends in a tragic note, that kinda serves as the foundation for the next arc. Really clever, as you'll find out by volumes 72/85 (haha).

The Rena Mizunashi situation untangles and new things are being discovered. Meanwhile a case with some foreigners happens. However Rena Mizunashi's situation takes another turn and Akai gets more involved than he should.
Most of this volume contends with the Block Organization. There was 1 murder mystery included, but that also has an FBI subplot as they attempt to gain entry into the Black Organization.
General Synopsis: As mentioned above, I am going to write a proper review for this soon, but I have a few books ahead of this one in the queue, so I cannot stop reading DC NOW! That's sacrilege. I have decided to read all the chapters available up to now (we are almost to 1000!) As you can see, I am totally fangirling over here and I don't care, because this is one of my favorite manga series, ever! But all of this aside, there are a few things I wanted to list so I don't need to go back and look everything up when I do finally sit down and write my fangirl review. ✌🏻
DO NOT click on the spoiler link if you don't want to read all the cases in this volume, because it will ruin it for you. On the other hand, if you're a fan like me or are looking for a certain case (and please note, these are how I have set the cases), etc. click away, that's why it's there.
Another spoiler link, so don't click if you don't want to ruin this manga. I am going to include the characters introduced or as the series continues are in this volume. Personally, I think us DC fans love certain characters more than other (yes, Heiji, I mean you!), so sometimes when we are re-reading this series (like all the time!) you might wish to start at a specific case or start when a certain character is involved.

Personal Opinion: #1, I never call this CASE CLOSED. If you do, you're not a true fan of this series, so don't even bother reading my review or my personal opinions. I'm sorry if I offend you, but you offended me first by telling me you want to read CASE CLOSED or you just love Jimmy.
#2, as you can tell by #1, I read this online. I would never waste my money buying a manga series in english that cannot get the name correct and mess up the main characters to make it appear more "ENGLISH." I am so happy I don't run a blog and this isn't a review on Sailor Moon, #1, because I have a huge soap box tirade against DiC. I also don't think there is anything against reading something online. Comics, which is what manga are, are meant to be read and shared and sometimes paying over $10 is too much in my opinion. Plus, I read the newest chapters as soon as they are released from Japan, because I would never miss a release of DC. So this is my personal shout out to you translators from me, Thank You!
A quick and enjoyable read, I am especially enjoying the connection between files. The plot normally jumps around from random case to random case but this one followed the main plot.
THE HOSPITAL INFILTRATION: A RACE AGAINST TIME Conan learns from Ran that Eisuke has been missing since winter break, last seen investigating someone at Haido Central Hospital—the same hospital where Rena is admitted. As the FBI gets involved, shocking revelations emerge: Eisuke’s father was a CIA spy killed by the Black Organization, and Rena may not be who she claims to be. When Eisuke identifies someone using the Black Organization’s leader’s phone tone, Conan realizes a dangerous member of the syndicate is hiding within the hospital. With the FBI narrowing down suspects, Conan secretly investigates three suspicious patients while uncovering a critical detail—Eisuke once had leukemia, strengthening the possibility that Rena may indeed be his sister.
THE FBI’S HIGH-STAKES SHOWDOWN WITH THE BLACK ORGANIZATION As the FBI prepares to transport Rena using three identical vans, the Black Organization strikes in a ruthless diversion. They unleash chaos across the city—causing mass food poisoning, releasing poisonous gas in public areas, and even setting fire to a theater—all to flood the hospital with casualties and cover their true objective. Meanwhile, Conan and Akai discover a bomb hidden in James Black’s flower pot just in time. But the danger isn’t over yet; realizing that a rush of deliveries to hospital patients contains hidden explosives, the FBI braces for yet another intense battle against the relentless criminal syndicate. Will they succeed in keeping Rena safe, or will the Black Organization reclaim her?
DECEPTION AND DEADLY ULTIMATUMS Rena’s plea for the hospital’s safety sparks Gin’s suspicions, putting her loyalty on the line. Meanwhile, Professor Agasa and the Detective Boys stumble upon a murder at a hotel restaurant, where FBI Agent Camel becomes the prime suspect due to his resemblance to the culprit and his refusal to disclose his identity. As Conan works to clear Camel’s name, the police uncover a cryptic memo that may hold the key to the case. Meanwhile, Gin forces Rena into an impossible mission—arrange a meeting with Akai, plant a bug, and assassinate him, or be marked for death as a traitor. As Akai agrees to the fateful meeting, the stage is set for a confrontation that could change everything.
It has been a long time since I’ve read any of this series, and I’m way behind in the anime as well. But I’ve always been a fan of Conan, so I was excited to get this volume.
We’re in the middle of a long-standing case, it seems, as we start this volume. Conan is helping the FBI, and a CIA agent, and they’re trying to uncover a syndicate group. This comes to a temporary conclusion, where Conan stumbles upon a murder case, but it seems like Conan is waiting for another opportunity to out the syndicate group, though the cliffhanger is quite bad for a friend of Conan’s. (Also, it’s possible the leaders of the syndicate are the ones who turned Jimmy into Conan? Unless I’m wrong?)
I should definitely be following this series more. I’ve always had a soft spot for Conan, though I think I’ll have to continue the anime before the manga. I think the anime is easier to watch, whereas the manga has a lot more wording. Not that that’s a bad thing, though.
A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much!
OMG NEIN! Auf gar keinen Fall!
Mir gefällt wieder das Coverbild sehr gut. Conan in Akais Outfit ist sehr passend!
