From the creator of My Vampire System comes the action-packed story of a young man struggling to survive—until he learns to unleash the animal within . . .
Gary doesn’t have all that much going for him. He’s a teenage boy who lives in a Tier-3 town that’s barely hanging on, and his family’s just a rung above dirt poor. Which is why he’s taken the very dangerous step of becoming an errand boy for the savage Underdogs gang. He doesn’t like what they do, but if he tries to get out, he’s pretty sure he’ll get very dead.
Then, a delivery goes wrong when he’s ambushed and injured. Even worse, his “package” somehow gets loose—and into Gary. To his shock, he finds himself the wielder of a Werewolf System. It allows him incredible power, strength, and healing. Unfortunately, when the full moon strikes, he might not be able to control his bloodlust and could wind up hurting somebody he cares about.
Now, Gary must somehow explain his sudden “improvement” to his friends while trying to survive a pack of vicious hunters out to eliminate him. Because if he can figure out how to harness his new abilities, he just might make a difference in this town—and the first thing on his to-do list is put the Underdogs underground . . .
The first volume of the hit progression-fantasy series—with more than five million views on Webnovel—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!
Essentially LitRPG Teenwolf with gangs, underground fighting, supers, hunters, and all sorts of other things that I really enjoyed. I don’t compare LitRPG‘s to great novels, but if I power through them as fast as I powered through this one, it’s a 5 for me. Was it perfect? No. But I loved it, is what it is.
I had so much fun reading this book! The story was well-written, gritty, action-packed, and exciting. It was also well-paced and easy to follow. There wasn't any dull moment. As the story went on, it became more and more intriguing.
The characters were very interesting. I'm quite excited and curious to learn more about them. Great job, sir!
I didn't finish this book even though the part of it I read was pretty well written. The MC is a high school student but a mature one dealing with mature issues. Specifically, technology has left high school students with few legal options for making money. With an absentee dad and a mother already working as many hours as she can, the MC turns to the local criminal gang to help make ends meet. This gang uses high schoolers as runners and a run gone wrong ends up with the MC receiving the werewolf system.
I stopped reading when the MC got sent to the principal's office. As good as the writing was I am just too old for such story lines. I was tempted to give the book 4 stars based on what I read but there is too much story to go and so hedged my bets.
I love the story and just adds more to the My Vampire System world. However, in Kindle it says there’s 5 books which had me excited to get to read the full story. However, after finishing book 4 there’s still more than 2/3 more of the total story that still needs to be put into Kindle format which if I knew I wouldn’t have purchased knowing so much of the store is not available but has already been written and in other readable formats.
it's pretty good and I'm hoping the quality continues. the major thing that did and could keep it from being great is how much head hopping the author does, changing POV to virtually any character on a whim or pulling back for an omniscient one. the authors some a decent job at so far though, it's just risky style. Also, it'd be nice to get some perspective on altered people, like how the MC compares, whether they all have a system and quests and everything, or if that's just him and stuff like that.
I read this one during my days on the webnovel platform. One of the first novel I read and stopped due to my now found hate for reading serial novels.
Enough with that matter though, this book is interesting and that it, it interesting nothing else nothing more, maybe somefew interesting characters but the main character isn't the best he just feel stiff and not overly present.
This was a very fun and casual read I enjoyed it and would love to hear more. I specifically liked the world setting a great deal gangs fighting on the streets separated by colors and station. Different tiered cities ranked by prosperity. Very interesting and I cannot wait for book 3
Fun and well written. Good for see young adults and adults alike. The characters are believable and engaging. An interesting book that held my attention.
Fun story in a unique and intriguing world. The world building is solid. This gang ruled dystopia is brutal and dark. The story was good but it was obviously written as a Webnovel. The abrupt end of the book was a give away. There were some interesting perspective choices. It will change from 3rd to 1st perspective from one paragraph to another. This interrupted the flow of reading especially when it jumps from one character’s perspective to another. The characters were interesting. I’m definitely interested in what happens in the next book.
This is very much a Teen book / YA, but can be equally annoying as fuck at times. This is not so much, but it does have some inspiration of Teen Wolf, along with the annoying side kick and terrible decision making most every single teen does. It does have some sci fi - ish twists that seem to be over looked. Over all not terrible.
