My wife and I are traveling the world for 500 days--primarily to eat--and the ice cream travel guide goes with us wherever we go. If you're an ice cream fan and want to know the inside scoop on the best ice cream locations and knowledge worldwide, look no further.

The guide is more than just a list of recommend ice cream shops. The author interviewed many of the owners to take us behind the scenes. You'll learn about regional differences of how ice cream is prepared, local preferences for flavors/add-ons/experiences, and even some ice cream history. You'll also get a few recipes from each region.

It's the perfect reading compliment to some of the ice cream favorites out there like Lebowitz' The Perfect Scoop.

Ice cream is happiness! So is reading about people who've devoted themselves to making quality ice cream all-around the globe. Each time I picked this book up again, a smile broke out. I can't think of a better reason to read than that.
