فتح آفاق جديدة في فن الكوميكس، وأعاد تصنيف حاجات لم نكن مصنفة من قبل.
لو مقدمة ابن خلدون كانت مدخل لعلم الاجتماع، فمقدمة "ابن مكلاود" لا تقل شأنا في مجالها :)
مرتبط بشكل كبير بكتاب Understanding Comics وهو أشبه بامتداد ليه.
