Hi everyone, I took have noticed the lack of strong non-fiction atheistic books. So I decided to write my own! The theme of the story is facing death without god. The story is set in a Detroit, Michigan suburb and centers on a troubled man named Bennett Shepherd who discovers he has stage 4 heart disease. He is given only months to live. It conveys his final month on earth as he battles his demons, his religious family, his strained relationship with his children, his struggle to find hope in the cross hairs of death. His vivid dreams retell a life of regret that he must come to terms with, on his time, which he is running out of. He meets a young girl named Sara whom he develops a relationship with and finds through her the strength to face his fears.
