Run of the mill pulp fiction set in Australia. The almost superhuman heroine has the ability, without previous experience, to instantly bareback ride a prize racing stallion at breakneck speed through forests, up and down mountains and across scrubland. Then to steer and navigate an old container ship through a fearsome storm at sea on her own.

However it has an interesting basic plot and I will give her another try.

I was surprised that i really enjoyed this hook after it started off with a bang and then lulled for several pages.

I would have to say India seems love trouble and trouble seems to love her. From one situation to anonther she kept rolling with the punches. I found it hilarious that she kept getting herself caught, beaten and still manage to escape.

Broke my heart to read what happened to the chief. Ibwas really rooting for him. All in all a good one.

4-4 1/2 star read. I'm really loving Caroline Carver's books & the second book in her India Kane series did not disappoint. India is on board a Greenpeace ship going after a Japanese whaling fleet when they are run down by a rogue container ship. Later, India is on a mission to find out who is behind the ship and make them accountable for the deaths of her friends. But she is out of her depth when she realizes the mobsters involved are ruthless and determined to stop her talking. Good read.

This was a very enjoyable book, it is fast paced with plenty of twists and turns and unexpected moments. Carver's characters are all well written, with India Kane being strong willed and decisive as well as insecure and occasionally vulnerable. The plot is well conceived and thorough without being too over the top or excessively detailed. A classic tale of greed and corruption on a global scale that has an underlying message to the environmental community to be wary of so called 'green products' this book can be seen as an Australian Mafia story, and it certaintly lives up to this

Wow, I have to admit journalist India Kane is really something on her own. A very griping plot based on ecological theme.

India Kane, a journalist, was on board a Greenpeace ship when it was hit by a huge cargo ship. As the vessel sinks and eight of its crew member dead, India vows to being the owner of the cargo ship to justice. In her pursuit, she has all sorts of revelations. Right from finding that the cargo ship which hit their ship in the Southern ocean waters was not even registered with any ports to extremely hazardous gas being used in refrigerators.
