Before I took pen to paper, I was an actress. I attended a local university majoring in theatre and spent a summer in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts where I learned about the “Old Bard” from amazingly talented teachers.

When I returned from London, I relocated to Chicago where I lived for five years. There, I graduated from the Second City Training Center and performed improv, Shakespeare, comedies and dramas--I even sang and danced on a cruise boat--without falling in Lake Michigan! A classmate of mine from Second City and I created and performed a two woman show for a year before I braved it alone doing stand-up comedy. It was during this time I began to write an adult novel about a rock star--I had always enjoyed writing...

Fast forward a couple of years along with a move home where I was performing “stand-up” at comedy clubs in the area. On a plane to LA to decide my fate-- “to move to LA or not to move to LA” that is the question, my big bro, Mark, coincidentally with the same last name as mine (author of PRINCES IN EXILE, DREAMS OF THE SOLO TRAPEZE and STARCROSSED) handed me a young adult book he found at the library he thought I’d like to read during the flight.

As I read the book, I thought, ‘I can do this!’

I returned from LA, and instead of moving there, I wrote my story about the rock star as a young adult novel and called it JOHNNY LIGHTNING.
Mark, my writing mentor, edited JL for me. He was kind enough to send the manuscript to his publisher in Belgium--Facet--and they published it! In Dutch!

I was now on a new life path!

In 2001 HarperCollins made me an offer I couldn’t refuse! Not only was HarperCollins going to publish TEENAGE MERMAID, but it was in a language I could read and book stores I could walk into! HarperCollins also bought VAMPIRE KISSES and COMEDY GIRL.

It was a dream come true!

Since beginning my new life path, VAMPIRE KISSES, TEENAGE MERMAID, and MY MOTHER, THE CLOWN have been published by Facet in Belgium and JOHNNY LIGHTNING has been published in Germany by Ravensburger.

Then my fabulous editor at HarperCollins asked me for a sequel to VAMPIRE KISSES!
HarperCollins published VAMPIRE KISSES 2--KISSING COFFINS and now the soon to be released VAMPIRE KISSES 3--VAMPIREVILLE. I am currently writing VAMPIRE KISSES 4!

When I'm not writing about the love affair between vampire obsessed, goth girl Raven and my favorite mysterious dark-eyed hottie, Alexander Sterling, I enjoy working on my other novels, shopping for Hello Kitty items, and attempting to gain control of the remote from my boyfriend.

Celeste and Brandon, the cutest couple is in the woods talking and just being lovely. The following day they are in school when Nash grabs Celeste and asks her to help him out with the whole werewolf thing, she says that she will try to help him and let Brandon know so they can all talk. Later she lets Brandon know about what happened and made sure she didint tell Nash about the cure that Brandons dad sent him. After that they went through the day like anyother. Having lunch with the crew and Nash is making way to many inside jokes and it gets Celeste annyoed that she has to give him a look to stop. Things then change to the topic of the zoo. They are all going on a school trip to the zoo, where things get strange and heroic. At the zoo all the animals act strange everytime Nash and Brandon show up, looks like thier wolfness is sensed by them. Days go by and things are as normal as can be. Brandon and Celeste talk more about the cure and they decided that Nash should take the first dose. Plus Brandons dad was on his way to visit anf Brandon can explain things and get another dose made. At the news of the cure Nash is excited and grateful at Brandon for letting him go first. Nash does get annyoing though, he begs Celeset to see Dr. Meadows then continues to get Celeste to be with him. Meanwhile Brandon and Celeste are eating dinner and waiting for his dad to arrive. When he does arrive they all talk and Brandon explains about the cure, he is understanding and will make another cure for Brandon. Only thing is, when he tested the cure there was 5 mice and only one didn't become normal. Even with this news they will still try. During the days leading up to the full moon, new guys show up and they follow the girls around. Abby and Ivy dont pay much attention, but when they stoop to following them to the girls changing area, then they begin to question the guys. One guy in particular has his eyes on Celeste and wants to make her his. She later figures out that they are wolves and she quickly tells Brandon. They go to where Celeste last say the guy and they head into the forest, Brandon gets a hold of their scent and find the camp. She finds a journal and grabs it and Brandon hides her just as they start approaching. Brandon then steps out and talks with the guys and gets them to camp out in the woods near his place. Oh and Brandon just happens to know Ryder who is the leader of the pack. Once gone, Celeste walks the block to her house and reads the journal. In the journal she finds out that they truly are wolves and Ryder is crazy for Celeste and wants to make her just like him. When Brandon shows up outside she runs to him and shows him the journal and he becomes even more pissed at this guy. They must come up with a plan to stop them and prevent them from doing harm at the upcoming wolf festival. She even goes to Nash and asks him to hols off on the cure just in case they need help, but Nash being as selfish as he is, won't do that one thing. As the time comes and he does take the cure, it actually works and Nash is back to normal. Days go by and the festival comes, and soon Ryder is at Celeste and he quickly backs off when Brandon shows his fangs and has a pack of wolves with him. Once that is settled and the worst is over, they enjoy the rest of the night. The following morning she gets a note to meet Brandon, but as she gets to the place he calls her and wonders where she is, He explains that he didn't leave a note, and he is coming for her now because Ryder just showed up from behind the tree waiting for her. She does what she can to keep him off her, and explains about the cure. His friends side with her and once Brandon shows up he shows them the bottle. The guys take it and they are cured and relieved and great full to them. Ryder on the other hand doesn't change back and is just as evil and arrogant in human and wolf form. After that night Brandon's dad shows up with one last vial and tells Brandon it is for him and only him. Oh and he is moving back and is gonna make things normal again. Does he take the cure? Well read and you will see. I so do love this book and all books by Ellen. She is the best and this ending is pure love, beauty, fairy tale, and perfection.

In the previous book, Magic of the Moonlight, Nash was turned into a werewolf. Now Legend's Run has two werewolves in town. Nash is desperate for a cure--so desperate that he asks Celeste to go with him to see Dr. Meadows. While Nash receives the answer he was seeking, Celeste is given yet another warning: Beware of the full moon. A werewolf want to take you into his world. Forever.

Every ten years, Legend's run hosts a Werewolf Festival and while everyone is excitedly anticipating the Fest, Brandon, Celeste, and Nash have real werewolf problems to agonize over. Brandon is being pressured by his father to take the cure, but he's not 100% sure he wants to. Nash wants a cure so badly that he's becoming reckless in his search for it. And Celeste has Dr. Meadows's warning hanging over her head and fears she'll be turned against her will into a werewolf. To make matters worse, there seems to be a pack of werewolves from a neighboring town that has come to Legend's Run for more than visiting the Werewolf Festival.

Full Moon Kisses is the final book in the Full Moon series. I have really enjoyed reading this series, and I'm kind of disappointed to see it ending after only three books. There is so much more that could be added to the story. And by the end I felt that there were some loose ends that weren't tied up. While the beginning and middle of the book were great with all the romance, hope, fear and danger, the conclusion felt kind of anti-climatic. There have been many series finales that had blown me away, but the ending to the Full Moon series just had me thinking, "Well, okay then, that's it."

So I'd say that readers will either love or hate Full Moon Kisses. I'm not going to say that it will be loved, because there were parts that I loved and parts that I didn't. And while, in the end, I ended up loving Full Moon Kisses, readers may not. It's a love/hate relationship with this one. Full Moon Kisses, by itself, is a great book, but as a series finale, it was just okay.

I hated this book. I cannot stress that enough.
I read these books in early 2012 I think, back when I had hardly read any YA ever. I had nothing to base my preferences on, and my judgement was lacking to say the least.

As per-usual, I've been procrastinating reading the third (and hopefully final) book for a huge amount of time. Which is stupid, since it was hardly even 200 pages. It was an easy read, but holy crap was it stressful to read. It actually set me on edge just because of how horrible it was.

The characters were annoying as shit. They repeated themselves so many times it was like they were a broken record. It's like those people at work or school where they just don't shut up, and they think that they are the best people in the entire universe. They don't do anything wrong, they loooove nature, they say words like 'handsome', and phrases like 'with all my might'. Literally just shutthefuckup.

The writing seemed forced beyond belief. There was no flow at all. It was like reading something that I'd written in 6th grade. For about 90% of the book I was pausing purely just to roll my eyes or take a break so I didn't throw the damn thing. And it sucks because I was anticipating it to be bad, but not this bad.

I hope to God these books aren't continued. I have this weird thing where I feel like I'm obligated to read the sequels of books I've read, even when I know that the books previously were bad or I hated the books. I'm actually so happy I've finished these, and if there are ever any more sequels I don't want to know about it.

Werewolves are creatures that are half wolf and half man. Werewolves, though usually appear in legends or myths. It was said that if a wolf bit you, you'll turn into a werewolf at full moon. It may sound cool but you won't know how painful it is to be a werewolf until you've actually experienced it. Howl!

In a town called Legend's Run, werewolves appeared but that was just told as a myth and nobody believed it. Celeste, a teenage girl in high school, fell in love with Brandon, a werewolf though. Her ex-boyfriend, Nash also turned into a werewolf after getting bitten. So now, every full moon Brandon and Nash turn into werewolves. Being a werewolf gives them many advantages such as communicating with wolves and dogs. Celeste is trying her best to help her boyfriend and ex-boyfriend find a cure of trying to turn back to normal. Celeste is told by her boyfriend and ex-boyfriend how painful it is to turn into a werewolf. It's not easy to give up your werewolf identity though.

Full Moon Kisses creates a lot of suspense at the end of each chapter. It makes me want to find out what happened next immediately. The theme of this book is love and friendship. If you're interested in reading about werewolves, this book will definitely satisfy you because the author describes the change from human to werewolf in full detail that you are able to visualize the transformation.

I recommend this book to those interested in werewolves, love and friendship or fantasy books. If you read this book, you would definitely want to know what happened after!

Im going to start off saying that i really did like the series and the way the events unfolded and the way it was written. Theres just one thing i didnt like: the version of werewolf used. I remember reading this and kind of forcing myself into this last one, I read probably 3 pages and I couldn't get over the feeling of dislike towards the portrayal of the werewolf in these books. I wanted to know what happened, so i flipped to the back a few pages from the end and read what ended up happening, which i had assumed would be a happy ending since the beginning :) Like I said, I didn't like how the werewolf was being portrayed as more man than wolf, like a really hairy man with a howl and fangs that can get along with the wolves. I'm not sure if its just because I just don't like hairy guys the way they described Brandon to have long chest hair, facial hair, and head hair. (I forget whether its also on the arms and legs and hands?) but either way I just found that type of thing kind of gross. But hey other girls do like that like Celeste. Although I probably sound like I hate the book but I don't at all, I love the books overall content, just can't shake the feeling of the werewolf being a wicked hairy guy.

I would say that this is another series ruined by the last book, but this series already sucked to begin with. I don't even know how this got published. All the characters in this series were shallow and cliche, especially Celeste. She was irritating as hell. There was absolutely no depth in any of the characters' personalities. The entire story was predictable, and there were really no surprises. The ending was extremely rushed and cut short. It ended abruptly with no real explanation behind Brandon's choice. I was extremely disappointed by this series.

This book is the conclusion to the trilogy Full Moon. In this installment Brandon is preparing himself to take the cure and be fully human again. But plans change with Celeste's ex Nash also becoming a werewolf. Brandon offers to give Nash the cure first because he sees how upsetting being a werewolf is for Nash. Celeste is there for her boyfriend Brandon and her ex Nash during this time. Brandon and Nash even form a bit of a friendship through all of this. Because of this, Brandon is welcomed into Celeste's group of friends. When it seems like everything is going to be ok Celeste discovers three new werewolves. And one of them wants her. Not only that, but the other two take an interest in her two best friends Ivy and Abby. They plan to take the girls during the famous wolf festival that happens every ten years. Celeste is determined to cure all the werewolves, but she has to convince her boyfriend Brandon to go through with it as well. The only problem is, all three of them may not want the cure. I thought this book was alright. I think the added element of three new werewolves wasn't all that great. It did work in building Celeste's character even more. It showed us even more why everyone really likes her. But another guy Ryder who doesn't even know Celeste wants her to be his mate. He claims to know how good of a person she is. This guy has had like two conversations with her so it's weird. I didn't care for these new werewolves until near the end when we discover that Ryder has been treating Leopold and Hunter like crap. The friendship between Celeste and Ivy was a lot better in this book. When Celeste was in trouble Ivy came to her rescue twice and fiercely defended her. I didn't like Ivy in the second book because she acted like a spoiled brat. I know she is, but she had great character development in this book and is one of my favorite characters now. The ending was very satisfying. I'm happy with the choices Brandon made and how supportive Celeste has been through his journey as a werewolf. Even though there were plenty of times where Celeste could've walked away or gotten back with Nash, she stayed by Brandon's side. I give this book 4/5. I did read it in a day and I was very happy with the results. But I do feel like the other werewolves weren't all that important. It was just another love interest for Celeste for the most part.

This was such a fun & cute read. Then again, I always enjoyed books written by Ellen Schreiber. So if you are loving for a lovable and kind hero even in werewolf form then this is a must read and if you are looking for a caring heroine then you should definitely read this series. However, there were times I did not really like certain decisions of some characters throughout the series but they eventually made up for it. I am definitely looking forward to more books written by this author.

Yes. Just yes. This was the perfect conclusion. The perfect balance of happy and bitterness. It wasn't packaged with a pretty bow but the box was securely sealed. If you've not read book one and two then read those before reading the perfect end.
You can't help but love Celeste or fall in love with Brandon. But will their moonlit kisses last or will Celeste be swept away in the new bad boy's arms.

Book 3 of the Full Moon series I'm giving a 3.5 rating. Ok I can say without a doubt this one was much better than the 2nd one. It was more entertaining, just so much better than book 2. I liked how Ellen added some new characters, and places we readers hadn't explored yet. Again I do agree still with what I said about my review for the 2nd book I do feel that it is more for pre-teen than teens and young adults. Overall happy with how it ended.

Once again, I couldn’t put it down! The damsel in distress trope has always been something I loved reading and this book definitely gave that, with a werewolf boyfriend to save the day. I love seeing Brandon & Celeste’s relationship continue to grow and to see everyone’s acceptance of Brandon more. This book ended perfectly.

I really liked this book, the drama and struggles Brandon and Celeste encountered on their journey to finding a cure was great. The only thing is I would make it less repetitive because it can get annoying. For instance, when Celeste always talks about Brandon in the same way.

Nice ending, still really not a fan of Nash...but there is a glimmer of hope.
I like that Celeste accepts Brandon for him in his entirety (unlike his dad).

The writing feels like something I’d write, which is terrible. I saw the word proud used SO often to speak about Brandon and it got soooooo annoying.

Possibly the most uninteresting story sequence from Schreiber. But I still love her Vampire Kisses stories.
