There are three words to describe "Rival Demons": "Non stop action!" This story picks right up where book 4 ends. Harper escapes death by the hands of the witch coven by entering the demon realm thanks to Mary Anne, Lea and Jackson. As she and her friends try to close the portal the twin tigers manage to follow them to the other side. This of course is the start of the first battle. Harper manages to do something no one believes she could do, she kills one of the twins leaving the other in total ...more
This is my favourite so far!
Harper has gone her whole life not knowing the meaning to have a true family. And wham the ending was brilliant because.. She does. She just didn't know!
And what's best is who her family actually is!
Jackson and Harpers relationship breaks down because Jackson will do anything to protect her, but they survive everything and their relationship/bond just gets stronger as it builds back up!
Harper manages to contain and control her power more, and she's not all that she s

This book played out like a movie within my mind's eye. You can't but help fall in love with the protagonist, a strong and independent lead, who voices doubts within herself that we can all relate to at some point in life. It's only when she embraces her strength, that we see the strength she is capable of, that surprises us all and has us asking "how was that even possible?"

I did enjoy the first few books, but I only began to feel it pick up from the fourth. In the earlier books it felt as if t

how can I put into words all that I love about not only this book but the series as a whole? I would sound something like this "wow, just wow. I mean really wow. amazing" Definitely not one of my finer moments but what can I say this series has grabbed hold of me. I anxiously awaited the release of this book and have loved every minute that I spent with Jackson and Harper.
I have always felt that good writers weave stories that a reader gets wrapped up in. Sarra is one of those writers for me. Sh

Omg! I swear this series just keeps getting better and better! I loved this book!

It starts off right where it left off with Harper, Jackson, Lea, and Mary Anne in the Demon World hiding from the Order of Shadows. They got away from the order at the moment but the entire time they need to be extremely careful!

Jackson and Harper take some interesting turns in this book! Right after they cross over, Jackson tells Harper that down in the Demon world, they cannot be together because they will defini

I have been a unabashed fan girl of Sarra's since the very first book in the series, Beautiful Demons. Starring Harper, a teenage girl for who life has changed in every way, and Jackson, a boy unlike any other she has known, the Peachville High Demons series is full of twists and turns, intrigue and surprises. Harper and Jackson are, on the surface, complete opposites and this makes them fabulous characters. This new book changes their relationship, filling it full of doubt and mistrust. While I ...more

Short and sweet. I was a little disappointed with this. She originally planned this as a 5 book series and I think maybe the $'s got in the way of her vision. JMO and I don't want to sound mean. If the last book is story from beginning to end I will amend this review and say so. Don't get me wrong, I reallly liked this book but there was some world building that seemed to be done just to do it. There was a huge chunk of the book that we weren't learning anything and it felt like filler to me. Bu ...more

The fifth and at the time of writing the final part of Harper’s story lives up to my expectations.
She is saved from death at the hands of the Order at the end of Book Four. Jackson organises their passage to the demon world via the Shadows’ portal.
None of the two hundred plus pages is wasted – there is something exciting happening on every one and you will feel two emotions – (i) fear for Harper as she struggles

The ending was absolutely stunning and breathtaking. I'm in love with this series.
They travel to the shadow world and everything has changed. Jackson has told Harper that relationships between humans and demons in the Underworld are forbidden. Harper's heart is broken! Jackson is gone everyday with Lea the demon woman he shares a past with. Not knowing what to do Harper comes up with a plan. In order for her to defeat the Order of Shadows she has to be able to defend herself and she also wants to find a way to release Aerden. She finds herself using her magic to find a way in ...more

This is the fifth book in the Peachville Demons series and the quality of the writing continues. Harper and Jackson go to the underground because the Order is too powerful on the surface of the Earth. At first Harper is not trusted by the demons since she is a human. The situation is not helped when she is given nothing to do but, basically, stay out of the way.

She develops a plan to pick up some training, gain entry to a special library, and somehow deal with Jackson's lack-of-feelings for her,

Now we are fighting. Incase you didn't know, we are in a fight until I get to read the next book.

There should be a warning with these! I read these fist three, about halfway through the first one I had become rabidly obsessed and was COMPLETELY addicted; worked completely into a fervor by this intense writing and depth of character development, I spent the rest of the weekend finishing the trilogy and immediately ordered the rest of the Peachville set.

Once my voracious reading appetite devoured the last of them I grabbed the first of the Emerald series and am not frothing at the mouth, pan

Rival Demons is the 5th book in the Peachville Demons series by Sarra Cannon, and I loved it! As soon as I started is series I loved it. I just didn't like how long it took for this book to come out and now I need to still read the very last one.

This book is about Lea, Mary-Anne, Harper and Jackson having to go to the shadow lands to save Harper and Mary Anne's lives. They escaped the Order. The safest place for them is in the Underground where Lea is a princess. Harper uncovers quite a few sec

At first I was a little thrown off, the author did not pick up exactly how she left off in the last book. I thought I had missed something but a little bit in she explains somewhat of what I was missing. That was the only thing that I did not really like about this 5th installement. Other than that it was excellent.

After Jackson, Harper, Mary Anne & Lea enter the Shadow World they are still being hunted. In the Shadow World there are still hunters looking for Harper (not to kill her, but to

Sarra Cannon has done it again. This books was just as fantastic as the others. She has created a great YA paranormal series that takes the reader on a breath-taking journey through a world full of magic and wonder. I love everything about this series. Harper is such a strong character. She really grew in this book. She became more independent and started to fight back and stand up for herself and for what she believed in. Her relationship with Jackson took a new turn as well. They faced new cha ...more

Holy. Fucking. Hell. What. The. Fuck?!

I have officially been mind-fucked.

I really don't know what to say. This...This book was sooooo amazing. I'm struggling for words here. I really didn't think it'd be possible to be so fucking speechless.

I'm really gonna try to not give anything away, and like the others, I'll probably have to edit this review.

Can I just say that this is one of the most amazing series I've ever read. Seriously, it's amazing. You people should really give this a try.

After the Order of Shadows threatens Harper, she must seek refuge and plan her next course of action. While training, she discovers that she has some hidden abilities, strengths and some shocking truths about herself. With new information gathered, she must decide the best way to face the threat of the Order.

I know I said Shadow Demons was the best book yet but this book surpassed it. Rival Demons is a story full of love, heartache, facing ones inner demons and discovery of self. This is by far

Ok, I feel a little better now but not really. A little better because my OCD has been satisfied and I have read the series as far as it extends. Not really because now I have to wait for the 6th (and final) book!!! That’s right, folks. We have Literary Limbo….again! However, I am not freaking out because I am patiently waiting for an e-mail back from the author with an estimated release date that I can jot down. Then I will let the countdown commence.

I love this series. It's all building to the conclusion, one that I'm sure to buy and be glued to until it wraps everything up in a nice bow. I've been following Harper's journey from the first book, enjoying the twists and turns of her learning about magic, finding her place, and then discovering the seedy underbelly of the world she was growing to love. Finding out such dark secrets hasn't been easy for the girl, nor has it been easy for us as readers! With every new discovery, we're gasping a ...more

Totally Addicting!!!! And each book gets better than the previous one!!

I cannot wait until the next book comes out! This one had a twist that I didn't see coming and I'm looking forward to the next part of the story! Sarra's writing style makes me feel as if I am a part of the story itself and not just an 'observer' reading the story. Thank you Sarra, for sharing your absolutely
wonderful writing with the rest of us! I will be counting the days until Book 6 comes out! LOL!!! :)

I read the first five of these in a little over a day. They're not really thick or very long, but the wealth of information in them is astounding. Cannon's writing style also leaves very few words wasted. I can't say I'm invested in the series, it's fluff to me. Fluff with demons, but you can safely read the series and not worry about anything super-horrible happening to the characters you're familiar with and fond of.

I kinda love the idea of a town using cheerleaders to spread their demonic evi
