Detroit author, Nevada Scheffler, has now released her debut novel, WAITING FOR THE SUNRISE. Additionally, Scheffler has received Grand Prize Honors for McOndo Fiction in the 2005 METRO TIMES fiction contest with her micro-fiction piece "The Answer", and she was a featured author in the international women's literature and arts journal, HER CIRCLE EZINE, for her short story "Coming Home".

Nevada Scheffler works as a digital advertising copywriter in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated in 2002 from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Literature and Creative Writing.
