Arthur McPhee was born in 1945 in Claremont, New Hampshire. He has worked as a newsboy, dishwasher, pizza maker, factory' laborer, sailor, minister, international radio speaker, journal editor, world traveler, and professor. For more than two decades, Art taught at graduate schools in North America and Southern Asia. His most recent nonfiction work is The Road to Delhi. He has been the husband of Evelyn for fifty-plus years and was the father of John for almost thirty-seven years.
