A Maggie é a prova que o ambiente em que crescemos nos condiciona e nos pode transformar em pessoas confiantes ou pelo contrário extraordinariamente inseguras.
A mãe sempre a diminuiu chegando afirmar que se arrepende de a ter tido, por isso quando um dos "hot guys" da cidade se mostra interessado nela, como pode ela acreditar que é real?
No entanto, o Kyle não desiste e demonstra-lhe a cada dia o quanto a ama, mas existe uma sombra sobre eles - Alex, que não aceitou o não que a Maggie lhe deu e a transforma na sua obsessão.
A forma como a Maggie e o Kyle se apoiam e ultrapassam o problema é ternurenta.
