Broken Strings (Book 3) was emotional before it even began. Caden North is the third of the band of brothers, best friends, who have grown up supporting one another through thick and thin. Through the eyes of Henry DeMarco in Painted Truths (Book 1) and Nate Hawthorne in Unwritten Rules (Book 2) we witnessed the devolution of Caden’s train wreck marriage to Layla and his devotion to his four year old daughter. The tragedy - it’s heart wrenching on multiple levels, and even more so as we re-live the death of Caden’s twin, a pivotal event from fifteen years ago, from different perspectives as the author skilfully unravels the drama. The injustice - nothing less than pure evil can describe how these lovers, Caden and Summer, have been kept from one another for so long. The squeezing in my chest felt incapacitating! As for what brings Summer back - that kept me in high anticipation for a long time, because once Summer rediscovers Caden’s adoration, she can’t seem to find the courage to tell him why she’s returned. Not yet, anyway. Not while they can rekindle a small piece of the paradise they lost.
The longing and yearning that I felt from the very beginning propelled me forward, so that I felt as if I were reading with a tailwind. I couldn’t get to the next page fast enough. The romance and sexiness of Caden heated me to the core. I worship Summer’s innate sweetness mixed with a steeliness that could only come from being tempered in the trials of her youth. Henry and Liv, along with Nate and Mila, reappear to my joy as a Brotherhood fan. Plus, a very sexy billionaire, and an equally valiant bodyguard, are introduced with enormous mouth-watering potential for future development. The climax can only be described as explosive, heart pounding, and righteous!
Pamela O’Rourke has proven her mastery over a profoundly tragic narrative that encompasses a huge range in despair and triumph. I. Am. In. Awe. I have loved all three of The Brotherhood couples, but Caden and Summer have had to overcome the Everest of adversity to remain faithful to their original love, and their outcome is the most satisfying of all! If you are looking for a beautiful love that is soul-deep and loves at first sight, you've found your book. This is the third and final book in The Brotherhood series and it was utterly beautiful. It was written to be sweet, loving, and with some bad apples along the way: a right person, wrong time love story that carries throughout the book flawlessly.
We hear about Summer in the previous books but only in reference and she shines in her story. She is Summer through and through with her blonde hair, flawless skin and hazel eyes. She is selfless, courageous and strong. She was able to grow up fast and make lemonade with her situation, but she also carried her heart half-broken, because the other half was always with her Caden.
Caden's heart is so big, it's the wonder it fits inside this book, let alone his ribcage. He was a sensitive soul and wasn't afraid to make his feelings known. He fell head-first in love with Summer at a young age and his soul finally had a purpose. God-like features that suit any rockstar: blonde hair, blue eyes, chiselled jawline, massive shoulders, a presence that speaks volumes when he enters a room and the filthiest mouth in town. Boy, Caden was hot, hot hot and his mouth, when he was down and dirty with Summer, was filthy and everything you'd imagine it to be. He was super talented with his fingers, cock and tongue and insatiable for his Bambi.
Pam really shines in this book, as a new writer she doesn't write like a rookie. Perfection, flawless and consistency are where she shines and I can't wait to see where her future books take her. Dual POV, ends is a gorgeous HEA and an epilogue that stars Nate and Henry too. A special mention to Caden's family: his father was just beautiful and shines tenfold in this book.

I’m sorry, but no. The whole Layla drama was so unnecessary and Caden was pretty dumb for thinking having a baby would solve all of their problems. That was extremely immature, and because of that thinking, he is connected to her (and so is Summer) for the rest of their lives. If he truly loved Summer, the idea of having a baby with anyone else would have been abhorrent. How is this getting so many good reviews!?
Layla was a horrible, manipulative bi***. The fact she had one of Caden’s children was 🤢. Honestly, Caden should have also known better, all of the signs were there from the get go. It would have been better if Bells was not his biological child but he raised her, that I could get behind. Now Summer has to live with the fact he procreated with Layla of all people (and if this was based in reality, you best believe that would be an issue).
Also, he talked about having a hard time performing, yet he could perform just fine for Layla? Again, gross.
Layla was a horrible, manipulative bi***. The fact she had one of Caden’s children was 🤢. Honestly, Caden should have also known better, all of the signs were there from the get go. This is the last book in The Brotherhood series and I’ve been waiting for this book since I finished Unwritten Rules and it was definitely worth the wait. I couldn’t put this book down.
What would you do if the one person you loved more than anything finally appears after fifteen years? That is the question Caden has had on his mind for the past fifteen years since Summer left and he never once gave up hope that he would see her again, so when she finally comes back to him, he doesn’t question anything. Caden and Summer have been in love since they were eight but a tragedy when they were sixteen tore them apart. Now that she back he not going to let her slip through this fingers again but neither of them are the same people they once were. Summer is back but she’s back with many secrets that will either tear them apart or bring them to closer together but she scared that if she reveals everything he will hate her. But once some of the secrets are revealed, they both realize that not everything is not as it seems and they’ve been puppets to a master that’s been controlling them for years. Their chemistry and attraction between is still there and more intense then ever even. But once they get their hands on each other, they can’t stop. They definitely didn’t disappoint in the spice department, I mean them in the Private room scene was everything🥵.
This book has a bit or everything from romance to secrets to plot twists that you wouldn’t see coming. Summer and Caden love will take you had an emotional rollercoaster through their journey of getting over the past and making amends with it in order for them to move on with their lives. I love how all the sacrifices and pain they went through only made them more stronger, giving and caring to others. I absolutely love the flashbacks of them which only enhances the story and their love. They were just too broken strings finally able to be whole again with each other.

As Summer and Caden are brought back together after 15 years it’s clear they are both just as in love with one another as they were before Summer disappeared from Caden’s life. They fall back into a loving relationship, their reunion and the power of their connection is beautiful but I was also holding my breath as I read, just waiting for the secrets from the past to come out.
I was gripped throughout this story, Caden and Summer go through so much, both during their years apart and when they reunite. Their love is deep but so much is thrown at them and they are tested again and again before they can be the family they dreamed of.
This book made me feel so much, there’s plenty of suspense and angst along with the romance and steamy scenes. This book has it all and I highly recommend. The extended epilogue is perfection, closing this wonderful series with something from all the couples.

Caden was devastated and looked for her. Fourteen years later Summer has to come back and see Caden. Is it the right time for them or are there too many secrets? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. Love Caden and Summer and the supporting characters are awesome. There are so many twists and turns you feel your on a roller coaster. Definitely all the feels. Pamela gave us a perfect ending for the Brotherhood.

Broken Strings is book 3 in the Brotherhood series. It follows Cade and Summer who fell in love at a very young age, until one day Summer disappears, forcing him to move on. Years later, Cade is a famous rockstar and a single dad to an adorable little girl. He’s dealt with a lot (which I don’t want to spoil), and he’s never stopped thinking about Summer. After 15 years, Summer returns and has many secrets, some that can’t be forgiven.
This was so well done. There’s many plot twists and suspense and honestly I was shocked most of the time. We find out what happened to them when they were kids and their lives without each other. There were so many parts in this where it felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest.

Caden North. WOW! Pam ripped my heart out and slowly put it back together with Caden & Summer. I dont think I have any tears left..
I highlighted every page. No joke. I felt every emotion from early on. The way their love was described made my heart ache for that. “You’re the air I need to breathe.”
The sadness and pain they endured, I cried along side them. I held my breath more than once, I shouted at my kindle. Caden & Summer are childhood sweethearts and even at a young age they have the kind of love that many people can only hope to find one day.
They are torn apart through trauma and over a decade passes with both of them broken, still loving each other silently and separately. This book follows the reasoning behind everything that happened to them as children, the changes that have taken place since and them finally reconnecting. I sat with bated breath through most of this. It was a rollercoaster of extraordinary highs and intense lows. I cannot recommend this enough, I couldnt put it down. I devoured it. The plot twists. My gosh - blew my mind. I had inklings but wtaf!! I fell hard for Caden and didnt want it to end, he wasnt just a book boyfriend or husband. He was a book soulmate. I wanted to hand him my heart, knowing that he loved with everything that he is.

Summer was just as incredible too. Easily one of my favourite FMCs. When she used the description Son of my body, daughter of my heart. I was destroyed.
The side characters, spice & cover all need a mention aswell because Hello! Wow would be an understatement!

The Brotherhood Series so far has been filled with such great sexy characters so I had high expectations going into this one and it did not disappoint. A second chance romance between childhood sweethearts Caden and Summer.
Caden is a world-famous musician, and single dad and has never forgotten Summer, his childhood sweetheart that he has not seen for a number of years. I loved Caden, his love for Summer has not faded, when they meet and re-kindle their love his adoration for her sits strong on the page. Summer was a strong female character and I rooted for her from the start.
There is pain in this book and as the story and secrets behind their separation become clear the book has you already so hooked that turning the pages long into the night is a reality.
The spice was good and this was my favourite book in the series, The Brotherhood is a great romance series and I would recommend picking them up if you love standalone novels but with the characters interlaced between them all.

My thoughts: "The Brotherhood" series concludes with "Broken Strings" by Pamela O'Rourke, an incredible journey that exceeded all expectations. O'Rourke's exceptional writing, plot, and steamy scenes made this book a must-read. Caden and Summer's intense love story was heart-wrenching due to their hardships, especially Caden's. However, Caden's supportive and loving family was a refreshing change for a hero's backstory. I cannot give away too much about this outstanding book, but I assure you it will not disappoint. It is one of my favorite novels of the year, but please be aware of any trigger warnings before diving into it.

However, Caden's supportive and loving family was a refreshing change for a hero's backstory. I cannot give away too much about this outstanding book, but I assure you it will not disappoint. It is one of my favorite novels of the year, but please be aware of any trigger warnings before diving into it.

In true Pamela fashion she brought the love and pain and smacked you with the reverence. Summer St James, amazing, lovable and just so in love with Cade. Apart for a decade and half, when they are back together you know what it truly means " you are made for me " .
The secondary characters are equally strong on their own .
There is absolutely nothing in this book that can be faulted! It's perfection. This love is what we need in our lives!
The epilogue 🥹🥹🥹🫶🫶🫶 perfect ending to this series.

I fell in love with Pamela’s writing while reading Painted Truths and Unwritten Rules and this one did not disappoint. It is truly next level! I started this book at 7:00 pm and did not put it down until 3:15 am when I finished it. It captivates you and takes you over!

This is book 3 in The Brotherhood Series by @pamelaorourkeauthor. Each book of this series got better and we end up here...with Caden North and his beautiful heart.
This story follows Caden and Summer - you cannot even call them childhood sweethearts -- that phrase is not deep enough. Childhood soulmates rings more true. It was so pure and so gentle.
Deceipt and misunderstandings tear them apart until many years later, their worlds collide again. Their reunion is equally beautiful but with the threat of secrets from the past hovering. Ultimately, love wins and we get our happilu ever after.
This book...I don't have the words. Caden, with his deep soul, has some of the most devastatingly beautiful words. It almost felt impossible that someone could exist who could say such perfection and with such meaning. I do wish Summer had more confidence and sought answers firsthand herself but I get that the teenage girl mind is confusing and so full of angst. But then again, we would not have been taken through this journey with Caden and Summer resulting in one of the most romantic and gripping stories without it.
Highly highly recommend this read - and although it could be stand-alone, I recommend reading from book 1.

Pam writes incredible stories that will 100% stay with you forever and Broken Strings was no different I was completely consumed by Caden and Summer.
After they were separated because of a tragic event these 2 lost a part of themselves and it wasn’t until another life changing event happens that they are thrown back together proving that they were and always have been soulmates.
Caden is the rock god who has women quite literally throwing themselves at him, did I also mention he is a single dad 🫠 and Summer is the sweet girl who is the only one who he can be himself around. These 2 have undeniable love and connect and it leaps off the pages but they have so many obstacles to overcome. Summer has secrets and she has to tell them for to allow Caden back into her life and her heart.

PERFECTION- This book is the best way to end a phenomenal series that we have all been obsessing over since Book 1 came out. The wait is finally over and we get to delve into Caden North's past and what has caused all his pain and sacrifice. We also get to see what has shaped him into the amazing man we have been exposed to in the other books of this series. Caden has always put others first and he never stopped caring even when everyone else would have given up. He did it with Layla and his career for too long. He knew she was broken after his brother's accident but he tried to do what was right even when his heart belonged completely with Summer St. James. However, Summer disappeared on him and he couldn't find her anywhere so he forced himself to move on but now she has returned to him and he doesn't know how or why but he is going to let her slip through his fingers again. He is going to love her, adore her, and claim her like he planned to do all along since they were 8 years old. However, Summer has secrets and has been keeping things hidden from Caden for too many years and she knows if they all come out he will never forgive her and he will be lost to her forever. She has to be strong and come clean about their past and their secrets if there is ever going to be a chance for them to have a future.
This story is wicked with all the plot twists and secrets that are revealed throughout and you will be blown away from them as they come to the surface. Summer and Caden are amazing together and when they love they love hard and fast. It is an emotional ride to see them struggle to make amends for their past and their own secrets. Caden is not going to give her up no matter what but sometimes fate has other plans. Be prepared for this amazing journey and you will need tissues, a stiff drink, and a pillow for screaming but don't worry there will also be happy tears, screams of joy, and wide smiles when we get to the epic conclusion of this amazing series. Again I'm speechless after finishing a book by this author... Pamela knows how to put readers on a huge rollercoaster of emotions.
I so loved Caden and Summer 🩷 I'm not sure if soulmates is enough to describe these two.
After reading the other two books in this series I knew that Caden wasn't really happy in his life. But I didn't know why except for the behavior of his ex-wife (or girlfriend/wife in the other books). God, I can't say how happy I was when I heard that he got divorced. I hated Layla from the beginning. I knew they didn't fit. I won't say that I understand her now, but I can say that some things weren't easy for her.
I don't want to think about being separated from your soulmate for 15!!! YEARS. Caden fell in love with Summer when they were just 8 years old. That's when Summer came to live with the North's after her parents died. And after Caden's twin brother died when they were 16, she left without saying goodbye. That's what we already knew from the previous books. But why she did it, even though they were so in love with each other, that's the big question...
This book has again a lot of plot twists and 😱😱😱 they are heavy. And it's really difficult to not spoil anything. Yes, that's a huge problem for me, to say how much I loved a book and not say too much. And I know I repeat myself by saying that... 🙈
With this book, the series is done. But there is the next series and you will meet a lot of people again. Alex DeMarco, Henry DeMarco's brother (book one). And Vaughn Burton, Summer's boss at Rogue. AND Ford Holloway, Caden's bodyguard. This book will be released in August and I can't wait to read it. I'm so excited.

I'm not sure I can formulate the words to do this book justice or get across to you all how good Cadens story really is. What an absolute wild ride that was! 🫶🏼💕
We first meet Caden North in Painted Truths and I've been waiting for his story ever since, I knew it would be good but nothing could prepare me for what was to come!
I don't want to say too much and give anything away as you need to experience it for yourselves but if you love a second chance romance with a MMC who has the filthiest mouth but all the swoon, a read that will consume your every waking moment & have you experiencing ALL the emotions. You need to read this immediately and I'd advise you read Painted Truths & Unwritten Rules prior to doing so as you do meet Caden & Summer and get a little backstory in them.
My heart was absolutely breaking for these characters. Summer St James is such a strong, resilient FMC & Caden North has my whole entire heart. I don't think I've ever highlighted a book quite as much as I did this one! 🫶🏼
I absolutely adored the cameos from Henry, Nate and the girls and the humour they brought with their banter and jabs at each other 🤣 And I can't finish this review off without mentioning Sutton & Vaughn! Sutton had me laughing out loud literally to getting right up in my feels with his words of wisdom! & Vaughn... I can't wait for more of this guy! There's definately a story to be told there!! 🙊

This one blew me away. I'm still recovering and the book hangover is very real. Caden is my book husband. The man is perfection. And Summer, gah! Summer, my heart broke for you. The emotions, longing and angst along with plenty of twists and turns make this a contender for a top read for 2023.
And to discover that we are getting a new series with Alex and especially Vaughn 🙌🏼 I am impatiently waiting.

I really enjoyed Caden and Summer’s second chance story. However, I thought there were too many obstacles and too much drama to get to the end. I feel that the author is too descriptive at times when it doesn’t add to the story or scene.

There’s only one reason for her return but he asks her to give him a week to make her fall in love with him all over again.
But after Summer being forced to leave all those years ago, can her secrets bring them together or force them apart.
Life has changed so much in their time apart but it’s all going to catch up with them.
Such a lot of feelings come to light when Caden learns what’s been happening while Summer has been away from him and I just love how he finds himself really in all this, of who he is and what his real passions are.
A wonderful story with jaw dropping parts that make you bite your fingernails while reading.
Thank you for all three fab books.

An incredible conclusion to the Brotherhood series. I did not expect Caden’s story to turn out the way it did and I loved his love for Summer so much. These two did not have it easy and I admire their resilience, bravery and peseverance to get through every obstacle life threw at them. Full review to come!

Caden's life has been a series of ups and downs but he has seemingly taken them in stride since the summer his twin brother died.

I want to start off by saying that this author is new to me. Originallye the title is what pulled me in but then I started reading it and couldn’t put it down. I will say that at times these characters reminded me of some people that I personally know and while sometimes their actions and words made me angry there were other times that I also felt sad for them. I definitely recommend this book and now I need to go back and read these others.

This definitely tugged at my heart strings. The story of Caden and summer was so beautifully written. I can’t believe one man was capable of hurting and ruining so many peoples lives. I’m so glad the love these two had was enough to span years and despite all the tragedies and heartbreak they made it out and I was so into this story for it. This series stories were all great. I definitely recommend.

This is the last book in the series, and I would suggest reading the books in order.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was well written, and there were plenty of twists and turns in the story. Some I could see coming and some that snuck up on me.
I especially loved Caden and Summer. We had seen Caden in the previous 2 books, and he came across as the joker. In this book, the author delves below the surface, and we see much more of his character. I love the banter between him and Henry!
I'm looking forward to reading the next series of books and reading Alex's story!
