Containing over 3000 entries, this work provides comprehensive information on all facets of Shakespeare's life times and works. It covers every play, including its theatrical history, a scene-by-scene synopsis and a commentary, characters, Shakespeare's contemporaries and Shakespearian actors.
The title of this book is somewhat misleading. It is not a dictionary of Shakespearean language but rather a dictionary of names of Shakespearean characters and plays as well as of historical personages related in some way to Shakespeare's literary productions. The print of this particular paperback edition is very small and the paper is not of good quality.
