My mother gave me this book, and I am glad she did. I really enjoyed it. It has humor, romance, heart ache...you name it. These two ghosts, Laurie and Jack, come together to help out this woman named Jessica out...they cant stand each other at first, but in the end they end up helping each other and falling in love. I was not expecting the end to turn out quite like it did...but I am really glad it had a happy ending. I do wish there was more about Jessica, esp after Laurie and Jack helped to get her life back on track. Its almost as if once their mission was complete, Jessica's story finished -- except for a small lil blurp about her in the end. More than half the book was about Jess and just because she finally gets a happily ever after feeling the writer just cuts her off and focuses only on Jack and Laurie -- I really got to like Jess and would have loved to have more closure with her. I still enjoyed this book more than I expected too -- almost made it to my favorites list!

Mary Maes gave me this book, and said this is one of her favorite books. It was a fast read and pretty mindless. These two ghosts, Laurie and Jack, come together to help out this woman named Jessica out...they cant stand each other at first, but in the end they end up helping each other and falling in love. I was not expecting the end to turn out quite like it did...but it had a happy ending. I did like the premise as it was unusual that the story is told by 2 young ghosts who met with unusal accidents and were in purgatory with a mission of helping another young woman who has been the caretaker of her mother for the past six years. She has just died and Jess is at a loss about how to go forward. Jack and Laurie are sent to help her out and they fix everthing! They get her sister to sell her portion of the house and business to Jess for one dollar, find her a husband, get her to stop drinking and work at her store and get her through a pregnancy in less than a year.
