I’m stranded in space with the grouchiest alien in the universe.
After being held captive by the Kruul for weeks, it’s a relief to finally be free. Or… mostly free.
Instead of being locked up in a holding cell, I’m now stuck on a broken spaceship with a sexy silver fox who seems to hate me.
Although it’s clear that Anzir intends to complete his rescue mission and keep me safe, I can tell he’s not happy about it. We get under each other’s skin, and I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because he’s older than me, or because I’m an optimist and he’s the grouchiest, most stoic man I’ve ever met.
But the truth is, if we want to have a chance of making it back to The Oasis, we’ll need to work together.
And the more we learn to rely on one another, the more I start to realize…
This gruff alien brute might just have a heart after all.
And it might belong to me.
Stranded with the Alien Brute is a full-length standalone sci-fi romance featuring a grumpy hero who's set in his ways and the sweet, spunky woman who wins him over.
If you like sexy aliens, sweeping adventure, and steamy romance, you’ll love this series. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and a happily ever after guaranteed!
each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but for maximum enjoyment, it’s recommended that the series be read in order.
I love reading romance, baking (well... eating) cookies, and binge-watching sci fi shows with my husband. I'm a sucker for a dirty talking alpha with a heart of gold, and I write stories about fierce aliens and the strong Earth women they fall in love with.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💚💜💙🩷 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📔📘 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: 😒🤩😀🙂 Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Maya - she and her older sister Darcy, forced into modeling by their mom, lived in Los Angeles. They went to a suspicious audition and tried to leave when the doors locked. Aliens then kidnapped them and other girls, tranquilized them, and they woke up in cages with translator implants, and find that they will be sold as sex slaves. Darcy and Maya are sold at auction to the Kruul, who keep Maya to use as a threat against her sister, to get her to spy on and sabotage the Zivonians. Her sister and two Zivonians rescue her, before she and a Zivonian named Anzir end up stranded on a dead ship they stole from the Kruul, floating around in the emptiness of space.
The Hero:Anzir - he is attracted to the pretty Terran girl from the beginning, so he does his best to stay away from her as he tries to fix the Kruulian ship. Anzir remembers the day the Zivonians were first attacked by the Kruul. He lost everything that day and was injured badly. He still gets aches from that day even though he was healed and you can hardly tell he was ever injured. When he needs to rewire part of the ship he can’t fit into, he tracks down Maya to help him.
The Story: Maya isn’t too fond of crawling into that tight space but goes ahead and conquers her fear to help him. They finally get the ship moving, but then something else happens. They can’t win for losing. Anzir feels like he keeps making vows in his life that he can’t keep, like on the day the Kruul attacked. He is grumpy because he feels like a failure, and he has so many regrets. He doesn’t want this to be another. So, he keeps trying to fix the ship.
I liked the storylines, especially the fact that they go on an adventure in space. I get a bit sick of the stories of human women who are abducted by aliens and end up on a planet with a civilization that isn’t even as advanced as our own. In this one, they go to a few different settings and there are some suspenseful situations. There is a ton of chemistry between them, but Anzir is older than Maya and he thinks his one chance at love has come and gone. Plus, he is a gentleman and doesn’t want to take advantage of Maya.
The space adventure, the high-stakes tension, and the emotional depth all come together beautifully. I love how Anzir’s internal conflict adds complexity to the romance, making it feel earned rather than rushed. And the fact that Maya actively conquers her fears rather than just being a passive damsel is a great touch. A sci-fi romance that actually explores different planets, cultures, and settings keeps things fresh.
This audiobook was told in multiple perspectives, done in dual narration and narrated by Stefanie Kay and C.J. Grey. both are very good narrators. C.J. Grey has a deep, gravelly voice which works well for alien romance. Stefanie Kay has a clear, feminine voice and sounds the right age for the heroine. The multiple perspectives and dual narration are a great way to bring the characters to life.
By some miracle this character had a personality transplant. Therefore this was more wnioyable than predicited. Will say though i think a lot of authors with multi couple multi book crossover series like alien tribes etc do this where they potray characters a certain way and then when you read them they all end up having the same personality. Like in the way that perhaps they can write someone interacting with a tough guy but cant write as a tough guy. So basically the writer only has a set guy and girl perspective and largely doesnt steer from it at all so every character becomes the same POV sayings etc vs the various personalities they had from an outside or previous book perspective. Its not always the case and its not always immediately obvious as its like keeping the same icecream just changing the toppings which for the most part is enough but it can become a tad tedious to read essentially the same person over and over especially when the characters arent that person or you were looking forward to gettinf in their head but end up in the same pov basic girl head or authors perspective and then lose what made those characters individual and fun in the first place.
And idk kinda pisses me off that not once did the sisters think of the other girls who were abducted at the same time and whether they could rescue them or search for other terran women or anythinf i know they habe their own problems but damn not even a thought or future plans or even basic monitoring of terrans like tracking them so when they do have the opportunity they can find them and rescue them etc. Anyhoo Love the author but these sisters suck even if this book was more tolerable they overall are shallow selfish and mostly feel like idk unlikable for various reasons.
I have really enjoyed this series. We were initially introduced to the Zivonians in one of the books from the Fated Mates of the Kalixian Warriors series, and this series provided a seamless transition to some new adventures in space.
Maya, is the sister of our heroine, Darcy, from the last book, Challenged by the Alien Captain. They were separated during her rescue from the Kruul. But she Maya wasn’t alone. Anzir, one of the Zivonian warriors was separated with Maya and promised her that he would get her safely back to her sister aboard the Oasis.
I really enjoyed the budding relationship between our main couple. He is actually older than most of the other Zivonians and has a grumpy exterior that Maya manages to sneak under. While this was a “light” uncomplicated read, it was still rewarding to see the change in Anzir as Maya breaks through his defenses and worms her way into his heart. For her part, I like Maya’s outgoing, happy nature. She’s pretty pragmatic about her circumstances and manages to find a silver lining in pretty much any situation. I like resiliency like that in a character.
While it wasn’t hard to figure out the plot from A to B, it was still a nice ride getting there. It’s a light, romantic story with the backdrop in space. Honestly, I could also see this same story set aboard an eighteenth century frigate, with pirates to contend with and smarmy gamblers. If you like your romance light and, for the most part, uncomplicated, this is the story for you.
This story is more refreshing that I had thought it would be. Anzir & Maya's story isn't simple, but the storyline is certainly something most people can identify with.
I enjoyed showing the vulnerability of Anzir. I felt connected to someone who had all this life experience, and war history, yet wasn't invincible. He had a history, struggles, and everyday pain. It was heartfelt how Maya was such strength through this book. The story doesn't let her get lost in being young, or wanting to do the right thing. She had so much more life experience in practical ways that really make the story line move alone.
I loved their story. It was quite different, and a solid read. They were from different. backgrounds, lives, and times in their lives, but you can't pull apart people that truly have found love. *LOUD CLAP* for another home run by Presley Hall!!!!
Oh my gosh I am so loving this series. Anzir has sworn to protect and return Maya safely to her sister Darcy, but in life everything that can go wrong does go wrong. The two people that are so polar opposite of each other somehow have to learn to co exist before they either die of hunger, suffocation or boredom . Anzir an older male is exceptionally reserved and initially thinks that Maya is impulsive and reckless. Maya who is young has had to grow up faster than her years due to her irresponsible mother. She sees so much more in Anzir and slowly starts to break down his walls and slowly repairs his broken heart. Together they have quite an adventure. Even though Maya is sassy Anzir learns that she is strong and more than capable of so much more. Beautiful and romantic with a HEA
Stranded With the Alien Brute by Presley Hall is book number seven in the Warrior Mates of Zivon series. Readers will love Anzir; he’s everything that a hero should be, and they will be much interested in knowing whether Maya safely makes it back to her sister. After being rescued from the Kruul by Anzir, her sister, and sister’s mate, Maya is stranded with Anzir on a stolen ship that was damaged when shot. They did everything they could to get it going again, but nothing worked. They were forced to send out a distress signal and put themselves at the mercy of whoever might respond. Of course, pirates did, but that wasn’t the worst situation. These two encounter one trial after another; however, along the way Anzir falls in love. It’s wonderful watching this heart-hurt, withdrawn alien warrior, who lost his former love, fall hopelessly in love again.
Maya is rescued by Darcy, Siro and Anzir but they get separated and Maya ends up with the grump, Anzir. They end up stranded in a disabled Kruul ship they'd fled in after a battle with those Kruul in pursuit. They are rescued by some scavengers where one abducted Maya and tries to sell her on the planet Reskie. Anzir and the scavengers find them just in time. Anzir and Maya manage to win a bet rigged against them and leave in the ship they won. Along the way they become true mates and arrive successfully on the Oasis where they are reunited with Darcy, the other human women and his people the Zivon survivors.
I liked Anzir but did not like Maya. I know she's young but did the author really have to make her the epitome of young, dumb, model pretty, blond? Couldn't given her a different personality? Maya was becoming annoying even to me. Doesn't display genuine fear and life is about me and how to entertain my boredom during this awful abduction. Since this is the 7th installment, I'm starting to agree with a previous reader that the stories are all becoming the same ice cream with different toppings. It's discouraging me to want to continue the series. I've read series that gone on for 10+ installments but those were all unique enough to want to continue. We'll see about the next one.
This is one of the most satisfying love stories ever! I wanted Maya and especially Anzir to get their HEA so desperately. This series just keeps getting better and better. I adore the characters. The storyline keeps me glued to my kindle and the world building is spectacular. Presley Hall is such a good author. Also the editing is impeccable. I don't ever knock an author for a few typos since I think it's darn near impossible to get them all but Presley Hall does an amazing job of giving us a clean copy! She is 1-click for me. I can't recommend her highly enough!
Another hot read, at the end of Darcy and Siro’s story we didn’t know what happened to Darcy’s sister Maya and the warrior piloting their stolen ship Anzir, this book is the fast moving ending or should I say beginning of their story. We find out why Anzir is closed off moody and quiet but is the gutsy fiery optimistic young woman enough to get him to open up and accept help. This story has a little bit of everything we love and a whole lot of chemistry and fire and as always it’s best read as part of the series but can be read as a stand-alone.
I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. Anzir and Maya are complete opposites and I loved the dynamic and balance between them. Maya was sassy and spunky, and Anzir was growly and liked to handle things himself. Though she was young, she had to learn things faster than most and made a good partner to Anzir, who slowly began to lower his walls around her as they had to work together. There was fantastic, scorching chemistry between them! The story also had action, danger, and suspense. I couldn't put it down. 5 stars.
I was able to skip pages and I mean many pages and didn't mis anything. This book kept repeating itself. Omg being stuck on that ship took forever. They talked about nothing!!!! Spoilers!!!!! She was dumb as hell to offer herself!!! I think my brain shut down after that. To top it off they should have got the guy back and said they wanted the BEST SHIP and took it!!! To pay him back for his shifty deal of 3 fighters!!!
Powerful read…the dynamics between Anzio and Maya had me wishing this love story would never end. I loved to the see the growth of each character as multiple trials and obstacles were thrown at the couple. I especially enjoyed their truth or dare games…how Anzio realizes it was just another way for Maya to find the joy in life and how much he was missing in his. Touching love story. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This story takes a little while to get into it but it's lovely how Presley has developed this sensitive alien and the way he deals with his past losses and how it affects how he deals with the new person in his life. Going from one drama to the next finding love along the way till they get safely home
This book had me at the edge of my seat than the previous books, wanting me to peak at the end o know how they’d end up but I resist. So glad I did or I won’t be feeling the great relief I’ve felt when they surpassed their challenges. It was hard but it brought them together, made them a team. It cleared the path to the soul bond.
This is not my favorite story has written by Presley. It starts very slow. These two characters are stranded alone with each other. They have a love hate relationship going on. How long will it take them to figure it out? If you don’t mind a slow moving story, I recommend this book.
Hes older, he's stoic, and he's incredibly hot. Yes please! This had everything I wanted. I freaking loved it. The way these alien guys worship their women is everything.
Alien romance Interconnected standalone Stranded in space Possessive MMC Grumpy sunshine Forced Proximty Fated mates Age gap
Maya is bored on their stranded ship with Anvir the Zivonion who won't let her help. Even when Maya is tasked with getting into a small space the ship still would not move.
Stranded with the Alien Brute is a solid read. I was impressed with the story. Despite Maya being only nineteen, Presley Hall does an admirable job of portraying her as a resilient, quick witted partner. And, who can resist the grouchy older hero, Anzir.
Kudos to the author, one of my favorite in the Sci-fi genre. Maya and Ansir have become separated from her sister and her mate. How do they make it back to the mother ship?
There was drama, suspense, action and shy moments from the beginning to the end. The romance, passion and sex scenes were awesome. I love how you get to read about the other characters from previous books also. Excellent reading.
The characters felt kind of two dimensional and their main point of connection seemed to be lust. The author tried to make it about other stuff - joy, grief etc. But it felt kind of meh. I feel like this was a wasted age gap romance because that never really became an issue or a plot point
This is a fun adventure read with lots of steam. The two main characters have a believable progression towards their feelings for one another. A good addition to the series.
Maya is bored. Yes she is on a stolen spaceship that is not working. Anzir is trying to get the thing working but it's not looking good. What a trip! Enjoy
