First of all this is a book to be worked through at your own pace and not to be rushed in order to get the full benefit " Letting Go ". As I write this review I am only half way on my journey through the exercises in the book. However, I have learnt so much about myself and the different techniques I have put in place through the different exercises John gives you to look at, and work on, during your journey to letting go.

There are times when it is painful to relive certain aspects of your life, however, these are necessary in order to " let them go " and get yourself to a place where you can live comfortably with yourself in the "present" without being drawn back. if you are drawn back - just revisit your journal again and remind yourself how to move on and release yourself.

I like the setting out of the book as a journal as it makes it a work in progress and you can look back and recap what you have already learnt and discovered from the journey you are on.

For me this is a book I would recommend everyone to spend time with and look at how you can put life and past incidents into context and stop them affecting the way you are now and will be in the future. It also opens your eyes to what you have and what is important for your health and wellbeing.

Coming from someone who has chronic conditions, that cause pain, this journal is fantastic. It helps you work through pain and letting go processes, to move forward and find your path in life.
I loved the layout of this journal, as I worked through each section. It has valuable information and leads you through the journey of moving forward. There is a lot about being present in the moment and letting go of pain and past pain to be in the now. It transitions between valuable information and sections you have actions to complete and journal pieces to fill in, to fulfil the section. As you move forward, you complete each, and can feel yourself moving through and beginning to live more
In the present and be part of your present. Having children and a family, I found this very helpful, as I became more present with them and not with my past and my pain.
This journal is excellent. It is laid out very well. The chapters transition nicely and you move forward, through the journal, and the goals feel natural and progress well. It has a brilliant method and really feels great to complete. Plus, it really helps. I can’t recommend this journal enough.

I started working my way through the journal on the day I received it (5/6) and have been working through an exercise per day, so technically I'm not due to complete it till (21/7).

It actually came to me at the right time, as there have been so many negative things clouding my thoughts of late and exacerbating my anxiety. I've never been one for meditating before, but it certainly worked for me and is definitely something I will continue to do. I also found writing things down also helped me release some of those thoughts that were plaguing my thoughts.

The book is easy to understand and easy to navigate your way through. The exercises are broken up with drawings and 'pep talks' so you don't feel overwhelmed with content and an advice overload.

It's definitely one I will no doubt be revisiting over time and is definitely one I'd recommend.

The first thing I noticed about this book was the butterfly on the cover. I don't normally comment on the feel of a book, but this one feels soft and smooth (nice just to stroke with your hand). John Purkiss takes you on a journey of how you think. We learn how to let go of things that don't need to be in our head. You will learn exercises, mindfulness, practical techniques. This journal is set out with different colour pages along with plenty of space for you to write your thoughts, feelings, if you have any worries. You can also look back at what you've wrote and see if you need to do anything different, rather than carrying it all inside yourself. There are illustrations throughout the book. This is a journal that can help you everyday.

I read the book Power of Letting Go a few years ago, but can’t remember much about it. This is the follow up to that book, but this one is a guided journal. I actually really enjoyed this one and I found a lot of it really related with me. Reading this as made me want to go back and re-read the other book.

I think this book would be really helpful if you are having trouble letting go of things that have happened in the past, or if you currently blame others for your current situation. This book helps you to take a step back and look at the bigger picture and live for now and change all the negative thoughts and behaviours you hold on to.

This book is a 5 stars for me.
