Vigbert is getting blamed for a lot of stuff. He says it isn't him. Austin and his family try to teach Vigbert to take responsibility for his actions. Will he?
I enjoyed this quick read. Vigbert, an alien, and Austin, a human, like with Austin's family. Accidents happen--like breaking a toy or spilling milk--and everyone wants to put blame on someone else. Austin sets an example for Vigbert, but it takes a while for Vigbert to learn the lesson. When he gets in trouble at school, he finally understands. I liked that the teacher did not take sides but was equal to both Vigbert and Sadie in her behavior. I appreciated the lesson be taught about taking responsibility for your actions. This is a cute story with adorable illustrations. Your children will adore Vigbert.
I liked the pictures and illustrations , they are child friendly. I also liked the simplicity of explaining to children the concept of taking responsibility for your behaviour. I would have loved to also see the issue of not taking responsibility clearly explained to kids. If you want to explain to your child what taking responsibility for your behaviour is this is the book for you.
A Very hard lesson for children to learn about taking responsibility for their own actions. We enjoyed the characters and the moral of the story very much!
A very difficult lesson is leaarned for children in this about taking responsibility for their own actions! We enjoyed the characters, illustrations, and moral of the story very much. Thanks so much, Michael Gordon!
Colorful and cute pictures and simple situations help children who read this book the important lesson of taking responsibility. The graphics were great on Kindle. Highly recommeded story to shre with a four year old. A few people have never learned this lesson, why not start your child with this Vibbert and Austin book while they are young?
Vigbert is an alien from outer space. He likes playing with his friend Austin. The problem is when Vigbert breaks or spills things he lies about it or argues about whose fault it is. This book is all about standing up and taking responsibility for your actions. A very cute way of teaching the youngest child how to do just that.
My kid has been really struggling with pointing fingers and not taking ownership of his doings. This book really helped him to see that it is not good to point blame and taking ownership of your actions are a good thing.
A very unique children's book involving a friendship between a space alien and a human boy. I think it will be a hit with most kids, and it is also a good book for parents to have discussions with their children about the responsibility of taking ownership for their mistakes or accidents.
Colourful and cute drawings and illustrations and easily read text.
This was a cute book with nice pictures. My 4 year old liked it a lot. I read it on my Kindle app on my phone and didn't love that I couldn't see both pages at once but I'll try it on my Kindle later and see if that format is better on that. We really like all the Michael Gordon books we have.
