Copper Springs

Always Infuriating Always Tempting

Rate this book
It was easy to hate Rhett Kline... and even easier to sleep with him.

Teddy Anderson had a fool-proof plan. Famous last words, right?

She would breeze through her last year teaching and then make her break out to Hollywood.

Too bad the new principal at her school is Rhett Kline, former Copper Springs golden boy and the same guy who ghosted Teddy after she forked over her V-card their senior year.

He’s still got that great head of hair and the kind of dimples that could make a girl swoon. He’s also still got that aggravating swagger and over-confidence that could make a girl punch him square in the jaw.

Teddy plans on keeping her distance and getting through the year without incident. But the one time she falters in her resolve, Rhett has got Teddy’s plans—and her panties—in all sorts of knots.

It’s not fair that someone so infuriating can be so tempting. If Teddy lowers her walls and lets go of her meticulous plans, is she putting herself at risk of getting her heart broken by the same guy for a second time?

DNF around 50%. i found myself kinda skipping for the “good parts” bc i couldnt get into the story. i couldnt feel myself in the moment. i don’t like 3rd person writing in general but especially when I’m not into the plot. i didnt wanna give bad stars bc of personal preference. this book would appeal to many people, but for me not so much. i thought thered be more fire between the characters and the shower phone call had the potential to be something epic, but it was short and meh. i needed more. this book was just to tame and domestic and “real-life” for my taste

This was just…okay. The enemies to lovers trope usually works for me, but not when everything happens at lightning speed like it did here. The plot was kinda cute but I was expecting more steam. I guess I like more spice in my books!

Honestly, the friendships between Teddy/Annie & Rhett/Dane/Noah was the best part of this book. Rhett’s friends are hilarious!
Rhett groaned again. “So, no one is going to just let me be masculine and overcompensate for a minute without a full interrogation?”
“Not a chance.” Dane grinned. “Fess up, sister, it’s hot goss time.”

Adorable, Fun, Sexy, Small Town Perfection

Copper Springs is an adorable small town and in their first book we meet Rhett & Teddy. Teddy is an English teacher at Copper Springs High and she is working on her own screenplay. The only regret she has is that she gave herself to Rhett in high school and then he ghosted her and left for college never to acknowledge her again. The angst and hurt has been brewing for several years so when she sees him at the local bakery she can’t believe her eyes. She is so still frustrated and upset that she spills coffee all over him, tells him off and then heads to a meeting. What she doesn’t realize is that Rhett is now the new principal at her school and her new boss. She is not ready to be this close to him again and she does everything she can to fight the pull she feels. She wants to continue to hate him but there is a pull that she can’t suppress and when they both finally give in it’s explosive!

They are beyond adorable together and they both realize they’ve made mistakes but are doing everything they can to make it up to each other. This story is sweet, sexy, and downright adorable for a small town enemies to lovers romance. You will not be disappointed. Happy Reading!!

It’s like crush to hookup to this man puts the word Dick into dictionary but at the same time she never got over her feelings for him and he didn’t for her so now they need to being petty and let it happen but also high school insecurities come back after 15 years and you can’t fathom the idea that people change and you don’t know the whole story so maybe if you used your words and had conversations things won’t be as dramatic.
It loses points for the cover. The story reads like it needs a drawn cover that gives ‘Will this be smutty or safe’ kind vibes

Slow burn but spicy as Teddy guards her heart from Rhett. The ex that broke her heart years ago. I love a good enemies to lovers and second chance romance and this book did not disappoint.

The banter, sweet scenes and spicy sexy interactions leave you wanting more. Loved all the secondary characters and hoping for some spin offs with them as the MC. A great quick read, true page turner. Hoping for more!!!

This is basically just my opinion. 2.8?

I don't think this one is good enough to get a 3 but at the same time, it's not that bad for me to give a 2 so maybe in between. I can't feel the spark between ml and fl, and for me, the love is just too sudden I think? I'm not sure. They go from hating each other to suddenly realizing that there might be something more. Just that. The enemy-to-lovers trope in this book is not that good but yeah, I did finish it.

[did not finish @ 15%] the heroine seem to be a nice person, like being kind to the guy she was on a date with even though she totally have no interest in him. but when she bump into the heroine, she kind of turn into a bitch. i mean i understand the guy ghosted her after taking her virginity, but she suddenly turn into a childish person somehow. i don't know, it's just kind of.....

The FMC was kind of whiny to me. Her whole beef with the guy is that he ghosted her after taking her virginity when they were teens. I mean I think a lot of people do dumb stuff when they are teens. She then spread rumors about him. She was mad for a huge chunk of the book about this and didn't seem to care that she was also being juvenile. Kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

I felt like I missed half the book. Where was the romance?????? I’m so confused about this relationship and the feelings BECAUSE I DIDNT SEE A DAMN THING. Honestly feel like I have whiplash from the 360 we took halfway through. They hated each other but SUDDENLY with no warning they LOVE EACHOTHER????? HUH so confused.

I wasn't keen on Teddy to begin with; too nice, too appeasing of her mum, holding a 10 year grudge, but as she developed i liked her more. I felt the end was a bit rushed and decisions not explained.

LOVED the book. Spice scenes were amazing and i felt like the mental thought processes of the main characters were very realistic of people working out a relationship. It was a quick read but im excited to read the other books in the series for the other characters.

Enemies to lovers. Second chance. An ex who broke her heart is back and her boss. She guards her heart but at the same time can’t resist him. It’s a slow burn but good. It is also written in 3rd person. But I do recommend it. It is well written.

DNF at about 40-50% I guess I like my books a bit spicier? There wasn't enough romantic or sexual tension between the mains for me. The phone call/shower scene fell utterly flat for me. Not a bad book if you're looking for something sweet with a little spice though.

a great read!

Teddy was such a great character. The character expressed real emotions and fears we all have. I liked the back story to Teddy and Kline as well. I think the story was well written.

This book was just okay. I felt like it was rushed. A 15 year grudge and random 3rd person writing.
I came across this book on fb and it mentioned the call/ shower scene, of course, it piqued my interest. But tbh it could have been so much better.

3 ish stars? Kept me entertained for the most part but I didn’t really feel a connection with the characters. Their enemy to lover relationship moves fast, but you don’t really get a feel for their history, just little bits of information here and there.

basically a lifetime movie

No better than a lifetime movie. Very bland and not quite what it was hyped up to be. Wouldn’t recommend

I got this off of tik tok and they really hyped it up. I was hoping for more character development and the fights were so so childish. These characters are supposed to be older than me! Come on!

This book was both super slow and super fast. The story was alright but didn’t necessarily stand out. If anyone needs a quick ✨spicy✨ read, I would recommend this book.

DNF'D it wasn't bad but I found it very repetitive and just not what I thought it would be.
