The path you have embarked on for the sake of others. The city where they promise you their salvation. An ordeal that looks more like stupidity. The determination necessary to get to the end. A teen who is tired of hiding his secrets, and dreams of becoming so strong that even the Order will be afraid to face him. What is he willing to do to achieve his dreams? Will he have the courage to go against himself? To use his talent for less honorable deeds? Will he be able to see through the endless mirages of the ancient city? What will he see in them? And will he ever find out who is leading him along this path?
Lots of words and expositions but little of substance, the earlier books were all more entertaining, not bad, still interested in where the story is going, but not a lot happens during this installment.
Very disappointing. I’ve read all the other books in the series. Some were better than others, but generally I would have called it a decent series. This book was very poorly written. The author uses the main character’s internal reflections as the primary means of exposition. This is almost always a mistake. Very little dialogue and the little there is unnatural and unsatisfying. The LItRPG mechanics are needlessly complex. The plot makes very little since. For all of these reasons and more, I couldn’t finish this book.
Good but translation is sometimes difficult to understand
I would give this book a 5 star rating if the translation was a bit better. It is sometimes hard to follow what the author is saying when the grammer or sentence structure is wonky. Overall a good book. I have pre ordered the next book.
Lost 2 stars for NOT writing a Recap. I think every reader needs to start doing this to force writers to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.
Leegard’s journey and growth continues … very enjoyable read. I can’t wait for the next installment. The relearning of lot arts continues to entertain.
