This is a fun read for old and young. My five-year-old nephew and I both loved it and reread it straight away. The rhymes are well written, and the illustrations are bright and fun. This book is unique because it has two cute twists in the tale, and both are unexpected. Predictable books are fine, and I think many children like the comfort of knowing what's happening next. But coming across a couple of fun twists in an already fun book is great. Highly recommended!

A STORY where the child asks everyone in the family if he can have an octopus and they all have different answers as to why one would be fun but Gran has a better idea. Fun read aloud and surprise ending.
