Standard introduction of card history and sharing of the lore connected to the suits and court before demonstrating a card arrangement. The section for card meanings gives element, planet, strata of society, Tarot card equivalent. Within that section, for the courts, brief explanations for when the card is first of a three card layout, altered by sex of the client.
The next chapter tackles other card groupings by color, suit, high or low number and frequency of a number in a pattern.

With this author's works, there is always what I think of as his "added value" portion. These contain additional information that is a hard to find elsewhere, which makes anything he writes worthwhile for me. In this moment, it is Dream Interpretation Using Playing Cards, worked is three methods.

Great book to get you started in Divination. The history section was actually an interesting read illustrating some crazy events foretold by the cards. The author really strove to give you tools and guidelines without overdoing hard and fast rules. You get what you pay for as the title delivers on its promise.... this is a great beginners guide. It illustrates a good ground-base on getting started with readings without expanding on the Why's or the How's behind the systems or spreads used for reading.
