The Ties That Bind Us, Part Two

Rate this book
Have you ever felt like the world’s been swept out from under your feet?

But, instead of landing fast and hard—you fall at an unimaginably slow pace?

Unaware of the impending destruction or your ability to stop it?

That’s what the hours felt like leading up to that moment…

When our pasts collided like two trains on the same track.

Now I have a fist-sized hole in my chest left by the girl I tried so hard to love,

Along with a crippling load of questions I don’t understand.

Here’s what I know:

I will get my answers.

I will prove we’re not broken.

We will get our happy ending.

…I just need to find her first.

This book is intended for readers 18+ due to its language, strong sexual content, and dark elements (including physical/sexual abuse)

The Ties That Bind Us / last part

4,5 💖💖💖💖🌈🌈🌟🌟🌟🌟s❣️❣️❣️❣️

“All this terrible shit brought us together. Now we’re gonna make something fucking beautiful out of it. It’s our scars that make us who we are, baby. And it’s time to embrace them.” Jaxon

It was time for Cameron and Jaxon to seize this awe inspiring second chance in life they were given and, as Jaxon said, repair every fractured piece of their souls.

Jaxon was an incredible character with a beautiful soul, and even though he experienced some dark times, he was strong and determined. He loved Cameron unconditionally and was the One who could lead her to healing and blossoming into the most perfect version of herself.

Cameron made great steps, and with the love and support of the people who surrounded her, healed her broken wings and became a butterfly filled with hope, change and life.

“Some scars never fade. Both physical and emotional ones. And some scars are never seen or heard; they become who you are.” Cameron

This love story was very emotional and heartfelt. There were twists, some shocking and some where I lost many heart beats, revelations, betrayal, insecurities, but above all healing, faith and love!!!

I fell in love with the main characters and not only them!
Emersyn was a very sweet young lady and had my heart fluttering every time she called Cameron “momma!”
Sayeed was one of the most goodhearted characters I have come across in books. He was such a selfless and giving person, caring and ready to help and support in any way he could.
The epilogue was wonderful and the last page brought a few happy tears to my eyes...

I would have rated this part with 5 stars but there were a few issues that concerned me.
The time period that took Cameron to stand up on her own feet and heal from all those horrible years she endured, was short and not adequate or fully convincing.
Also, there was no closure for the secondary characters. What happened to Camilla, Tegan, Kimberly, Shen, Jet and Morgan? They suddenly disappeared towards the ending and I don’t know what happened to them.
Final point, the last “unexpected arrival” was slightly farfetched for me.

Overall, this duet was amazing, I can not wait for the author’s next release!

Congratulations for this debut Danda K! 👏♥️

“We’ll always be aiming higher.” Cameron

Such an amazing read!!

Oh my heart 🥺 This book WRECKED me...in all the best ways. I didn't think there was any way my girl Danda K could top Ties Part 1, but she knocked it out of the park!

Part 2 of Cam & Jax's story was beyond heartbreaking and emotional at times, but through everything, they made it to their HEA. These two have got to be one of my favorite book couples, hands down. Danda has created some of the most genuine and loveable characters that you can't help but love. Jax is everything dreams are made of 😍 I'll never stop swooning.

Seriously such an amazing read!! I wonder if we will learn anymore about some of the secondary characters in the future 🤔 (PS- the babysitter may or may not have my namesake 😉)

This is the second book in the the ties duet.

This was such a touching story about two souls that meet in their worst moments and end up healing each other.

The fact that I gave this book 3.5 and the first book 5 stars is something...☺

It starts off right where the things left off in the first book. It was all going perfectly fine. The twist almost takes place in the first half of the book, which kind of made the second half of the book a little less exciting?😑
Emersyn was SO SWEEETTT

Sayeed was one of the my fav characters now!. He was such a selfless and caring person ❤ and CMON sayeed and me are from the exact same place😂
My fav scene was the wedding.

I would have rated this part with 5 stars but there were a few issues.

The amount of time it took Cameron to recover from the terrible years she lived through and get up on her own two feet was too short and unsatisfactory :((

The side characters' almost vanished throughout the ending. What happened to Morgan, Tegan, Jet, Shen, Kimberly, Camilla, and Tegan? I really wanted to know more abt Morgan!!

And in the end the fight was soo unnecessary 😂 it came out of nowhere and ended out of nowhere.

This was an extremely passionate and heartfelt love story. There were twists, some unexpected and some in which I stopped breathing,😬betrayal and lots of love❤😭

5 STARS!!!!!

Holy crap this book was amazing!!

After how the last book ended I was a little worried about what would happen, but I was very pleased with everything that happened in this book. oh my, Jaxon is the sweetest guy and is now my new book boyfriend! but, really though the way Jaxon is so forgiving and positive about life is so great! Cameron has grown so much since the first book and I really loved seeing how much she started to realize she does deserve happiness. Jaxon and Cameron have has their ups and downs in this series, but they were able to overcome their struggles and work through it together. What I really liked in this book was the side characters. They are just so supportive and sweet. Gah, I could go on and on about this series. Trust me when I say it's an amazing read!

This was such a heartbreakingly tender story about two souls who find each other in their darkest moments and end up healing each other. The Ties Duet is so beautiful and will have you smiling, crying, and laughing! I still can't believe that this series was Danda K's first one! This author is outstanding and I can't wait to read more of her books!

I have been anxiously awaiting this book! Danda K hit it out of the park with Ties 2. Cameron & Jaxon's story was an a amazing one! So many twists & turns. And the steamy moments were sexy as hell. But I didn't want it to end. Wish I could stay with them forever! Do yourself a favor - Read this book now (after you read The Ties that Bind us Part 1, of course!)

I got the incredible opportunity to beta read this book. I had the best time ever!

This book is the final conclusion of Jaxon & Cameron’s story. I have to say the end was everything I wanted and so much more. It had it all, the laughter, the tears, the emotions and of course swoon worthy romance.

This book starts with Jaxon desperately trying to find Cameron while managing his own falling life. His pain was so raw and his struggle, heartbreaking. Danda has a way with words. She makes you experience every emotion in most raw form.

And our girl Cameron! Goodness! She is a gem of a person. She frustrated me a lot but I still love her! The best part of the book for me was seeing her bond with Emersyn. It was beautifully written and brought tears to my eyes.

Special mention to all the side characters who complemented so beautifully.

I’d just like to say that, do give this duet a chance. I’ll miss them so much!

Ties that Bind Us Part. 2 is the conclusion of Cam and Jax’s story. What an amazing conclusion to this duet. This book wrecked me, emotionally, physically, and mentally. I was, literally, speechless after finishing this book. It was so incredibly heartbreaking and intense. Cam and Jax’s relationship was so beautiful, real and their strength was incredible.

I loved the twists in this book, and Danda’s ability to make me an emotional mess. Thank you for sharing Cam and Jax’s story. This couple and book were amazingly perfect, addictive, emotionally charged, and oh so steamy. Ties that Bind Us Duet was a stunning debut and I look forward to more by Danda K.

Ties 1 wrecked me, quite literally... in the best way possible. I still think about it. The only thing that saved me from going crazy was the fact that I knew there was a part 2.
Danda delivered.
Cameron and Jaxon remain real, raw, and uncut that I forget I'm in a fictional world. The way these two are vulnerable yet so strong is crazy. Their love is natural and easy I can relate to the both of them in many ways.
I wish this series would continue on because I love getting lost in the Ties world.

Dang I just couldn't finish this one, and I tried for 6 days. I was already leery of the storyline going in to this book 2 of the duet. And, I am usually a sucker for a story about 2 souls that are broken apart and built back together. Maybe it was the parental abuse and the denial....I usually have a hard time when that is drawn out. oh well, on to the next!!

This part two was everything I needed and more!! Just when I think I can’t love Cam & Jax even more, Danda writes a beautiful book and makes me fall even harder. My favorite part of this book was seeing Cam grow throughout her struggles with PTSD & her mental health. Her character has struggled tremendously throughout her life and it’s so empowering to see how far she has come. Jax is also just the perfect book bf a girl could ever ask for and I love how much he loves his “Nyx!” Danda wrapped up their story perfectly and when I tell you that ending was SO SO SO amazing...I had tears in my eyes!!😭😭 Also I really like how the author put more depth into Sayeed’s character, making him play a bigger role. He has become one of my favorite side characters in the book (besides Magnet ofc). Read this series ASAP...the book is now available on Amazon and it’s free with kindle unlimited!!!! A huge thank you to @danda.k.author for sending me a copy of this awesome book! 🤩

We continue with Cam and Jaxon's story. I have to be honest, I was underwhelmed. We had a lot of the same issues going on as the first book but this time around I wasn't 100% into it. Cameron came a long way and we get some closure for both her and Jaxon. When I read a book, I know it's a four or higher if I'm taking every spare minute to read it. I put this book down too many times and chose YouTube instead at one point. Good but not grand (ps. The "unexpected" surprise at the the was a bit over the top for me. Also I wanted vindictation for her abusers and it was instead a lame ending to that POS).

I love this series. Part 2 was just as great as part 1.

I’m going to be short so I don’t end up with spoilers 😁

Danda K left me on the edge of my seat and played with my emotions (hard). I’m not a cryer when reading, but she got me lol

Watching these characters grow and grow together is one of my favorite things of Ties. I’m so invested in all these characters while reading.

It’s beautifully written, a page turner and just a great story that makes you feel as if it’s about real people.

Cannot recommend this enough!

GIVE ME THE NEXT BOOK!! ☺️🥰

After reaching the end of the first installment I instantly started looking forward to this second book! I picked it up as soon as i could and got back into this world. I enjoyed this second book in The Ties Duet!

Cameron and Jaxson's journey continues! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen next in their story which got me into this second book even more. I so enjoyed how i once again felt so many things throughout with these characters!

With With The Ties That Bind Us Part Two, Ms.K has created such a good read that will pull you back in! I am so looking forward to her next book!

I started the 2nd book immediately after the 1st and loved then we picked up right where we left off. Cameron was able to get the help she needed In this book and her and Jaxon really put in the work to be better for each other. Life definitely rewarded them for the hard work and we were able to see them comfortably settle into life. These two are so sweet with each other and Jaxon continued to be the sweetest book boyfriend! I loved watching them plan their wedding and learn to enjoy life without all the stress they previously had hanging over them. The ending is a happy ending but it was so unexpected and intense, I was definitely crying sad tears and then happy tears

Part 2

This book was a slow read for me as I waited for the story to really get pushed into gear. All your questions are answered from the first book in the very beginning and throughout the rest of the book you’re just reading about how happy Jaxon and Cameron are together, eagerly waiting for some drama to happen. Two things this book does have are steamy sex scenes and an emotional ending that had me tearing up.

Great ending to a heartbreaking debut duet ❤️

Danda broke my heart but glued it back together. Both Jax & Cam had something’s to mend separately and together. Their path to HEA was filled with potholes and obstacles but they got there in the end, together.

Just when you think Danda couldn't possibly top how incredible Ties 1 was, she completely crushes it with the sequel.

I don't want to give too much away, but the story picks up just after the events that ended the last book. It's heartbreaking to read but when Cam and Jax are together it's just so intense again, you forget anything that had happened.

There are so many twists in this book too! I honestly felt like I was on such a high throughout the book. And then Danda will throw something at you and you're a mess on the floor. But this book is 100% worth the pain.

Cam and Jax are honestly perfect. I can't think of a more perfect book couple. Hands down these two are everything. Also, the sec scenes between these two, I need a cold shower after reading those 🥵🔥🔥

Without a doubt this is a book I will reread time and time again because it's just flawless.❤

This book was not it for me. There was literally no plot line. It just felt like watching someone's every day life unfold and I was rushing to finish just so it would be over!

I was slightly happy in the beginning that Cameron and Jaxson were on the outs. Though the reasoning for it was STUPID. I was like finally, they're perfect relationship might be showing a flaw. But one fucking look at each other and they're back together. Like it never even happened. They went straight back to being the most agonizing perfect couple ever.

Besides their shitty pasts everything just magically comes easy for them. They live in the area of New York where things are hella expensive and somehow live comfortably between their two salaries??? They're a barista and a convenience store employee. Really? Then of course Cameron magically has this giant fortune handed to her from her dead mother she never knew? Oh and her fake mother is actually Jaxsons birth mother because that sounds totally plausible. Even with this giant fortune Cameron has their overly generous neighbor who never complains even though they constantly take advantage of him, gifts them a house? Cameron could've bought on just with her own inheritance!!

Besides all the things that were unrealistic and overly perfect, nothing happened. There was slight drama the last 8 chapters or so. But by then it was too little too late. I got to the point where I didn't care if Jaxson died because at least something wouldn't be perfect. I also felt like the storyline of Emerson's birth mother coming back to kidnap her for ransom was RIDICULOUS.

OH and lets not forget Cameron has surprise twins? Really??? All the testing and sonograms and somehow the twins were missed? This duology could've been one single book.

This was a rollercoaster!

After the cliffhanger in part 1, I couldn't wait to start this one.
These characters have already gone through so much, but their demons are still alive.  The heat and drama reaches a new level that will make it hard to put down.

Cameron has come a long way, but in this one, she faces some harsh truths that leave her shaken.   Her very foundation will be rocked.  Secrets from her past will have a major impact on her life and emotional health.

Jaxon has been her rock throughout,  but the tables are turned when the truth comes to light for him. Cam will have to be his shoulder to lean on. They also have to navigate being new parents.

The new twists and past secrets add a whole different perspective to their story.  I was blown away again.  This was such an emotional read, and I urge everyone to get lost in the

Wow,wow, wow!!!! Book 2 was as phenomenal as the first book! Jaxon was craving to find Cameron again, despite having his owns wars in his soul to deal with and he just wanted to have his other half of his world back with him. Again,Danda was able to bring every emotion throughout the book, plenty of tears, plenty of happiness, plenty of steam ;) I was so happy that Cam and Jax got their happily ever after, and I'm secretly hoping there will be more to come from the secondary characters *fingers crossed*
This was a duet where I didn't want it to end,it grabbed me from the start and didn't wanna let go!
Loved it!!!

An Amazing Part Two to This Duet!
5 stars!
“There’s a reason why two negatives create a positive when they’re together. It’s an inevitable force.”

What happens when two complete opposites meet? You get Cameron and Jaxon. Nyx and Charming. A story that captivated my heart and soul from the first book to the second. This duet is complete, but these characters are finally living out their HEA.

You guys, Part 2 of their story played out so well. Danda K. wrote the most beautiful sequel to their journey. This one picks up relatively where part 1 left off, so not much time passed, and I loved how we were swept right into the thick of Jaxon trying to find Cameron. These two really complete each other and they’re a force that can’t be reckoned with.

There is so much growth within Jaxon and mainly Cameron in this story. I loved being able to witness all of that. Learning to let go of the past, and not letting it define you, was the key to Cameron, and with a little (a whole lotta) love from Jaxon and everyone, she was able to find herself. Jaxon remained a rock, but also being able to grow even more and provide bigger for his family.

The last couple of chapters had me STRESSIN. I could not put it down, and I’m beyond happy it went in the opposite direction as I was thinking it could be. Every side character was amazing and fun to read, they all had such an important role in each scene they were in, and I wouldn’t mind seeing a few get their own story as well. OH! And that twist! Oh my god. It was so well written, I never saw that coming. It shocked me to the core and I applauded Jaxon for keeping his cool. That just shows how strong of a person he is. While everything happened so fast, it didn't feel fast, if that makes sense. It was a nice, fast paced story.

These characters are beautiful. This story, the duet, is beautiful. It's an emotional read but an absolute happy one given all that they’ve been through. Loved it all.

Just when I thought the first part of this duet was good I get blown away by this one!! We begin with two completely broken souls; one struggling with why the other left and the other convincing themselves their choice was valid. I could feel all of their emotions; I loved how relatable both Cameron and Jaxon’s characters are; I was immediate sucked in fast and I was rooting for these two souls to migrated back together. Watching Cameron embrace herself FINALLY made me find a new found love for her that I didn’t know I had. I enjoyed watching her take her past and owning it and then evolving herself into a fierce strong woman. Then when her love builds with Emersyn… that was chefs kiss; her maternal instinct that comes out of her ability to love another just made me smile so much for our leading lady. Out of all the romance novels I have read, this book honestly restored my faith and love for a good wholesome story that is so beautifully written and genuinely touches base on how real relationships are between two lovers and how they can accomplish anything by just sticking together and knowing the ties that bind them are stronger than anything. Thank you Danda for such a beautiful story!!

The Ties That Bind Us part two by Danda K is book two in The Ties Duet. This is a continuation of the first book so needless to say you must read in order. Just when I thought I couldn’t love a book more here comes this one. This story was incredible. It had everything you could want in a story. It was sweet, funny, sad and everything in between. It really took my emotions on a rollercoaster along with Cameron and Jaxon. The development of these characters was truly breathtaking in many ways. I mean everything they went through and the growth they experienced. The writing is fantastic. It was as if I could feel everything through the pages. Danda K made me tear up a few times with this story but the ending is just perfect. It really is a story of two broken people finding strength and love in one another. It was beautifully relatable. There’s so much more to say but I don’t want to spoil anything, I can’t recommend this book enough. Danda K is a phenomenal author so I hope you enjoy these stories as much as I do.
