“How dare he speak life into me, then pull me apart while fingering me and then drop to his knees to eat my 🐱 with precision.”
Whew this book got its name honestly because pressure was placed and a diamond was produced.
Phor is that 🥷 and looking to claim his queen. He said he ain’t chasing nothing but checks though and even though he knows who he wants, he also knows she’s not ready to receive what he has to offer.
Janel has been infatuated with Phor for so long that all it took was one sexual encounter to know that her body was forever his. In an effort to protect him from her drama filled life, she gave him the cold shoulder not knowing he would be her safe space and soft place to land if all she did was put her trust in him.
These two were in a battle of wills and the tug of war they played with each other’s hearts was intense!
I forgot that this was early AP so the book ends on a “cliffhanger” and even though she swears we will see these characters again I’m not convinced! I always love the intensity of APs characters! They have BIG, STRONG love and you can’t help but to feel what the characters feel. This was a short yet impactful read and I enjoyed what little we did get from Phor and Nel! 💙
You all I have to find my way to Ganton Hills. The characters call me, and the story always has a few hidden gems. I'm determined to find this place. 😆
Really AP? You did a sista all the way wrong, leaving me hanging like this! 😂 Ganton Hills is really showing us its gangsta now huh? Phor is the man! Unapologetic about it all! Speaks and it is done, law! Poor Janel is just all over the place, but it's alright Phor gone handle all that for you! Their chemistry is fire, and you can sense that love may already be there under the surface, waiting for the perfect time to emerge. It's about to get real, and cannot wait for the next installment! Great read! 👍👍👍
I say it all the time, but I mean it this time… Phor is my favorite. I love a cocky a$s, swagger having man who takes care of home! Can’t wait to see him again!!
Phor!!! This man could have whatever!! The way he was moving behind Janel!! And the way Janel took care of Phor. They had me swooning.
Janel has been working as a stripper to support her dad and brother, who are in jail. She doesn’t love her job, but it is a means to an end.
Phor wasn’t feeling her line of work and made sure she knew that. That man wanted to be everything for Nel and supply all her needs. But my girl was fighting it hard.
Once again, that ending left so much to be explained, and I know ish is about to hit the fan.
Experience 🤔 I am not a fan of Urban Lit, but Aubree Pynn’s Ganton Hills series is 🔥. Each book is like watching a weekly TV episode. She introduced us to a new Hood and all the players are hustlers. Deep rooted gangstas who are not too cold to recognize “the one” when she shows up. Book 8 is about Phor and Janel. These books are short stories so If I say anything about the story it’s a spoiler. They are instant attractions and move really fast. Sometimes logic is abandoned, the point is to show that love is a chance. If you find yourself with a little time and you want to read about gangsta love Ganton Hills will not disappoint. They are short, intense and full of fire 🔥.
Nel and Phor........ Defense and survival mechanisms have Nel on guard at all times. Phor briefly experienced Nel, and the two couldn't get each other out of their mind. However, life is throwing blow after blow, and Nel is fighting to stay grounded. Her dreams are gone in a flash, and she no longer remembers the person she once was. As trouble brews, the two are once again drawn to one another. Their need for each other burns hot, and the passion ignites. It's evident just how much they deeply care as they're both go to lengths to protect one another . I'm eager to see these two again.
Phor and Janel had a thing once before but it was Janel who ran away in her words to “save” Phor. After the shootout at the strip club Janel worked at, Phor ended up trying to protect Janel (although she wasn’t having it). One thing led to another once they made it to Phor’s home and their once relationship picked back up where it left off. BUT it’s that Detective Waters who just refuses to not leave people alone. I guess we’ll see what happens in the next book with Waters maybe.
Wow, this cliffhanger is too much lol. If you’ve read the series so far, you are probably tired of Detective Waters too. I am happy Janel & Pharoh found their peace, but I wonder how long it with last. I definitely think it will be some brewing drama with Dharius. I’m definitely ready for the next book. Overall, this was a good short read, just like the rest of the series.
Janel and Phor worked because they had history so it was only right for them to come together and handle business as well as become the couple they should have been a long time ago. The incident in the club had me worried because I just knew someone was going to end up on the other side of earth.
Anyway, this was a quick one but they handled one thing after another…can’t wait to get the update on them in the coming books.
Ganton Hills is that spot!!!! I love how multi-layered this place is! Janel and Phor were clearly connected and etched in each other's hearts for awhile, they just needed their minds to catch up. They are definitely what the other needs and I cannot wait to see their full story play out!
REALLY Queen AUBREE😳, THAT'S HOW YOU DO ME🤔😭?!? This book was full of craziness and drama and deceitfulness. Phor & Janel were just two souls fighting their feelings for each other while trying to navigate through it all. Just when they give in to their want and need for each other, the book ends😭😭😭. Summer better hurry up🤷🏽😂😂😂
It's short an sweet absolutely worth the read 🙂. I really do enjoy the Ganton Hills Short. Apparently Phor and Janel have been circling each other for a while. With a love so intense that killing is not off the table. Looking forward to these characters in other books. As always it was definitely a pleasure I enjoyed this book 🥰.
Aubree Pynn, I don’t know where Ganton Hills is, but I would love to visit there. The men in this series is absolutely to die for. Loving, loyal and no nonsense. Phor didn’t ask for what he wanted, but told Janel want he was going to get. A must read series!
Janel and Phor have crossed the line before but after a night at the club, Janel realizes her past is catching up with her. Phor is at the club where he shouldn’t be and after an incident, scoops Phor up to try to protect her. Now under the same roof, will Janel explain her truth and will Phor still look at her the same?
I loved Phor! He didn’t ask for permission he just did what he wanted. He demanded respect and he got it. I loved how he constantly reassured Nel and made his intentions clear. I can’t wait for me of them
This was a really great story. I can't wait to get all this tea. I know there is a lot more to this story then this taste. Nel and Port have some much pain for each other. I hope Waters finally gets his.
I knew he was going to be something with the name Phor. Janel has been dealt a rough hand through life so she does as any other woman would and that is carry that weight on her shoulders but Phor was like he had enough. Can't wait to revisit them.
Phone and the woman who tanned him, pretty much sums up this short. Janel was going through the motions of life, just trying to make it and help her family. Phor was that dude waiting in the wings.
Wow I was not ready for Nel and Phor and I am so excited for where their story goes. This man is everything a woman drams of and I can’t wait until he pours that infinite love on Janel and shine her into brilliance 🥰
PHOR IS THAT 🥷! I don’t know what it is with Aubree writing about me who recite affirmations to the women they love, but I am here for it. Sad this ended on a cliffhanger, but I’m exited to read the next part of Phor and Janel’s story.
Baby I can't wait for Detective Waters to get his come upings! But Phor & Janel is giving me ride or die and I'm here for it! I'm also glad Janel folks are doing just fine eventho somebody tried to change that.
