Connecting Cutting-Edge Science with Classical Wisdom
The Akashic Field is a cosmic field in which all information and knowledge is interconnected and preserved. Our very reality is anchored in this vast sea of connected information that gives rise to everything―from specks of stardust in the outer cosmos to consciousness itself. In The Immutable Laws of the Akashic Field , Dr. Ervin Laszlo, renowned authority in the fields of new science, consciousness, and spirituality, has written an accessible introduction to the mysteries of the Akashic Field, explaining how leading science supports this ancient intuition of the deep reality of the universe.
The Immutable Laws of the Akashic Field also features contributions from other leading voices, including Dr. Maria Sagi, Christopher M. Bache, and Kingsley L. Dennis along with a foreword by Marianne Williamson and an epilogue by Jean Houston. This approachable text offers a brilliant introduction to and bold affirmation of one of the most profound wonders of our universe.
Ervin Laszlo is a systems philosopher, integral theorist, and classical pianist. Twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, he has authored more than 70 books, which have been translated into nineteen languages, and has published in excess of four hundred articles and research papers, including six volumes of piano recordings.
Dr. Laszlo is generally recognized as the founder of systems philosophy and general evolution theory, and serves as the founder-director of the General Evolution Research Group and as past president of the International Society for the Systems Sciences. He is also the recipient of the highest degree in philosophy and human sciences from the Sorbonne, the University of Paris, as well as of the coveted Artist Diploma of the Franz Liszt Academy of Budapest. Additional prizes and awards include four honorary doctorates.
His appointments have included research grants at Yale and Princeton Universities, professorships for philosophy, systems sciences, and future sciences at the Universities of Houston, Portland State, and Indiana, as well as Northwestern University and the State University of New York. His career also included guest professorships at various universities in Europe and the Far East. In addition, he worked as program director for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). In 1999 he was was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Canadian International Institute of Advanced Studies in Systems Research and Cybernetics.
For many years he has served as president of the Club of Budapest, which he founded. He is an advisor to the UNESCO Director General, ambassador of the International Delphic Council, member of both the International Academy of Science, World Academy of Arts and Science, and the International Academy of Philosophy.
Summary: Nice book to reaffirm during these crazy covid times. It speaks to me because I'm ready for it, but I can see how if someone isn't into this whole vibration stuff might feel unresonate. I'd just wait for it to come to you.
P. 13 - The universe, the totality of the reality we observe, is an embracing information-and-memory field, governed by distinct, and as far as we know, immutable laws. These laws include the three laws that define that aspect of the universe that we call the Akashic Field.
p. 37 he talks about the Akashic dimension. It shows up in all religions and has started to do so in Science as the idea of a quantum vacuum.
p. 69 it talks about the structures of civilization that are limiting in their own way b/c they give us this structure by which we perceive. But we are changing and turning into a species that can be more into a spot where we can access the limitless, the akashic field (my summary)
p. 79 He talks about unity and then uses this great comparison. "Just as when light hits water it appears to be deflected at an angle, the fundamental unity is likewise deflected by physical matter." The page goes on to say in a different bullet: "Enlightenment is not about reaching a "higher" place. People struggle because they feel a need to reach another place. Every place is here. It is a splintered mind that creates these separations."
He does talk about the lack of gaps. There isn't separation, there is no empty.
p. 103 they do an ekg showing a chakra healers brain and a patient's brain ekg mapping.
p. 177 he talks about the illusion of things, that there is no true staticness except the idea that we are in a state of constant sustainable change. progress comes from each individual collectively. It's quite beautiful and explains why we try to get vibrations a certain way.
This book is a collection of articles with the first one written by Ervin Laszlo (The laws of the Akashic field) and supported with further evidence by collaborations from Kingsley Dennis (Living in the Akashic Field), Maria Sagi (Healing in the Akashic Field) and Chris Bache (Psychedelics - Mediated Akashic Experiences).
I thoroughly enjoyed reading and imbibing the concepts explained in this book. The metaphysics is explained with backing from quantum physics in simple layman terms. Serious readers may not be satisfied with the evidence provided, but it is a good starting point for someone trying to venture into this field. It makes sense to view the universe as a 'non-duality', a oneness in which objects are just different manifestations of the same energy, Sat-Chit-Ananda (Infinite blissful consciousness).
I'm not smart enough to summarize this book, but I can say I think it's fascinating and well written (the info presented is clear, and may require some concentration and thinking). I've been waiting for science to catch up with the many so-called "woo woo" and ancient beliefs and explanations of how the the earth and the "universe" work on a grand scale and this is a good start of connecting the them together. For those that have done a deep dive into Hinduism, for example, may know some of the info already. This will be a bit out there for some readers, and for others it will make a lot of sense. Recommended for seekers and those interested in expanding their mind.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Immutable Laws of The Akashic Field by Ervin Laszlo. I found the material uplifting and confirming of the potential positive trajectory of human evolution. The book marries leading edge scientific discoveries with ancient spiritual wisdom. I found some of the science based explanations to be a bit over my head but I enjoyed being exposed to them. The collaboration of contributors was brilliant, providing many perspectives which helped me to fully comprehend the material presented
Interesting book about how all things are connected. Everything about the past, present and future are stored in the Akashic field . Learning how to access helps us to learn from the past and understand what we need to learn now.
As a limited science person, this was a little difficult to read at first. However, once I gave up having to totally understand all the scientific concepts and concentrating on how science and spiritually are coming together, I really enjoyed it. Very profound and thought-provoking
I was really interested in this book after hearing about the Akashic Field for many years and I understood the laws and I enjoyed the descriptions of the LSD trips in this book but the majority of the book was a lot of words that were hard to understand. Sometimes I read section a few times before understanding it, and sometimes I wonder if I understood what was said at all. I wished each topic had an example of what was being talked about.
One last thought is that maybe it wasn't my time to understand certain parts of this book and maybe another time or another book with clarify my confusion.
I would like to thank St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for this advance copy of the book.
