World of Linaria, Part 1 Bundle: Books 1 - 3

Rate this book
Linaria is a world where dragons are revered as gods, where airships rule the skies, and where war is stirring.

'If one dragon burned the city of Niversai to the ground in a single night, how would we fare if a hundred besieged our world?'

The balance of power in Linaria is tipped when a vigilante from an exiled race wages war. He steals the power of dragons to fuel his conquest, and uses compulsion to build his army.

Moroda is forced to flee with a sky pirate when her city is burned to the ground by a dragon under similar thrall, and is thrust into the middle of a war greater than she could have ever imagined.

She and her new companions are forced to work together not just to survive, but to prevent Linaria from crumbling around them.

But when allies perish, magic is pulled beyond all reckoning, and dragons are on the warpath, who will live to see Linaria's future?

Moroda, Palom, and Amarah are the first three novels in an epic six-book saga; a fast-paced, action-packed tale following a group of characters as war rages across their world. With shapeshifters and mages, pirates and soldiers, smiths and princes, Linaria is a vibrant land with a deeply unsettled past and an equally ominous future.

Hello fellow book dragon! Thank you for visiting my author page. :)

My name is Lauren, I'm a fantasy author of character-driven stories and epic adventure. My books usually contain dragons, rarely feature romance, and are typically fun and hopeful.

I have a degree in Psychology and a fascination with MBTI (I'm an INFJ!). I'm a petrol head and thalassophile, and adore castles, sunshine, and dragons. I've always lost myself in fantasy worlds, and it's been an incredible achievement to publish my own.

If you send a friend request and we don't have any similar interests or books in common, I'll probably decline. Feel free to follow me, though.

L.L. McNeil’s World of Linaria is filled with the necessary aspects to ensure a great fantasy read. Although it starts off slow, it quickly pulls you in.

With multiple storylines to follow, with a fabulous world to find out more about, and plenty of action throughout, this series sucks you in ever deeper with each new book. There are plenty of details you find yourself curious about, lots of details you’re desperate for more of, which ensures you’ll be eager to dive from one book to the next.

Without a doubt, this is worth reading if you’re a fantasy fan.

I so wanted to love this series more, but to be honest, it was too dense, with too much for me to follow. I am definitely willing to give it another read, but I really struggled to complete this book series. I had really high expectations, but then the way that the author switched POV, is not my favorite way of writing. Honestly, that's probably what made it so hard for me. I really don't like books that have so many POV in different installations. If it had been consistently differnet POVs from book one, I probably would have liked it more.

If you're okay with that, the world building is beautiful! I love the way that the story unfolded in that aspect, but I wish it had been a bit more consistently narrated throughout.

Just when you thought it was over, it gets bigger and better! McNeil does a fantastic job with this trio of novels and after reading the first of the three, I was excited to learn more about the characters, the world and of course, the story - exactly what I look for in the fantasy novels that I grow to love. You fall in love with the story, but even more so, fall head-over-heels for a universe created in the mind of a creative writer and author, a weaver of words and creator of worlds. You will not be disappointed. So if you're reading this because you're not sure - don't think twice. I had no regrets!

The world building in this series is absolutely incredible and the story just drew me in from the very start!
“ Linaria is a world where dragons are revered as gods, where airships rule the skies, and where war is stirring. “
This awesome epic fantasy series is fast-paced, action-packed, light hearted and is full of shapeshifters and mages, pirates and soldiers, smiths and princes. As the story grows and develops so do the characters and these first three books are gripping and exciting and I am eager to read the next three!
