If I could give a 0-star review, I would. This books reads like a series of undergrad papers from an intro Psych class that weren't even glanced at before the author jammed them all together in a word document and submitted them for publication. And the audiobook sounds like it was read by AI, because the cadence lacks any sort of variation. I put the onus on Amazon for failing to moderate their content in any meaningful way. This is the downside of their entry into the publication world.
I wish there was an option for zero stars. Ugh! The writing is awful! This guy doesn't have an editor and he definitely do not proof read his work before sending it out to the masses! Awful! Do not waste your time. You can't learn anything from a book this illegible! I'm so sad that I can't return or exchange this. What a waste.
A decent entry to the subject of body language and how coherency is not always our friend . The only problem is the name. Cheap selling technique to label something absolutely normal as dark and mysterious. It's not.
If you have some free time on your hands and have no other reading options - you can try it.
After reading comments regarding this book. I am not going to read this one. I had read an earlier book named DARK PSYCHOLOGY by R.J ANDERSON which was totally a waste of time and money.I think I am not gonna do it again.dont judge a book by its cover regarding search on Goodreads.
wouldn’t recommend. way too long for the information it presented. def needed summarizing. sometimes its just stating the obvious or repeating itself. the guy in the audiobook sounds like he got a stuffed nose that was the hardest part.
Finished reading 2 days ago but forgot to update. My thoughts on this is so mixed.
Because I think the ideas are so good!! But there’s some repetitive parts. And this book is so long that I had zone out when I was listening to it as an audiobook. Even though there’s so many interesting information, it wasn’t presented in a way that was intriguing enough. But I still really like the context and concept of this book. Honestly it’s very fascinating and I learned a lot. But in the end, it’s probably my attention span. I think it could have been condense into less hours of listening, aka less pages. Because I don’t know if this is a flaw with the audiobook or the book, but it was so confusing at times. The way they structured it made me think, “Am I reading a collection of book? Or are they different section?” It’s also quite repetitive, but I do think it’s both good and bad. Because the repetitiveness helps me remember the information more.
Overall, it was a very fascinating read. I just think it could be shorten- so my attention span could have listen to the whole audiobook without zoning out at times.
