Wandering in Love

Rate this book
I don’t know why I came home. Not really.
I’ve been on my own for ten years but something about the storm had me running once again, only this time, back to my roots.

I broke his heart the day I left. No explanation, just good bye.
There’s no way he can forgive me, not with the history we have. He was my best friend and my first love. My first everything but he deserves more than I can give him.

The stars tell me he’s mine but he doesn’t know why I left and I don’t think I can tell him.

Has fate brought me back to heal our hearts or am I destined to keep running?

From Dyslexic kid with a love of Algebra to a published author, no one is more surprised to find me here, than I am. I love to write about tortured pasts and hot sex, a happily ever after that has to be worked for. My stories tend to be a little dark but with some comic relief, typically in the form of sarcasm.

"Running was the right move, but it still led me back to Ian. Everything leads me back to him." ~Eva
A fast-Paced Sweet Novella With Steam, intrigue, Love and HEA!
I loved Ian & Eva, DEVOURED this within 2hrs.
#My 1st by Andi & I'm so going for More!
ARC received for a honest Review.

Eva is the Chaos, Wildness to Ian's Storm.. Without Her, he's like A Robot..With her, All Feelings come out.
At 30, Ian's the Youngest sheriff the town has seen in 100 years. Eva is the one who got (Ran) away 10 years ago AND Now she's Back. For good.

Eva feels guilty about leaving & not contacting for so long..But it was necessary, so she could find herself.
Her coming back News Spreads like Wildfire in the town!
Ian wants answers..The two of them were Soulmates, together since they were only 5, their families (I love'em!) are Neighbors & great friends..Then Why did she leave?

~Their Explosive Meet *HOT!*, Ignoring games, Work & Horses, Family time, Jealousy & Fun, Need Answers, Will (Ian's Younger bro) Keeps Riling him *FUN!*, Kisses, Eva+Ian's Banters, Frustration, Anger, Parties, Pub, Confrontation..

I didn't like that she could've come clean about 10 years ago many times but didn't..I mean, She loves Ian (& he Loves her back, they were always eachother's) but feels She doesn't Deserve him, that she's 'Broken'.
I loved her friendship with Will, he's a Sweetie, & I'm totally with him when he told her that Ian accepts her with all the flaws, that Ian deserves the truth.

Then a storm roles in (It's December there) & Eva goes missing. Though She'd told Ian to stay away, He won't. He's the one who rescues her.
She could've died..But didn't as he saved her. Finally her dam breaks & She tells him Everything!
And then.. Acceptance (I knew it!), Love, HEA! *Swoon*
Plus, The Epilogue's Gorgeous❤ #Family.

~If you want a Quick Sexy read with laughs and Love a good HEA, Then do read this story!

Book 11 in the Written in the Stars series. A fast paced second chance romance between Ian and Eva. She left him without a word 10 years ago and now she was back in town. The chemistry and attraction between them was still there between them and it was hot. Loved this read and can’t wait to read more from this author.

*begins rallying call* alright, alright, alright, what to say, what to say, what to SAY!

Okay, so I’m going to start off by telling you how much I have enjoyed this series for the last eleven books. I love the concept and every story has been pleasing. All novella style stories that have hit the spot. This one is no different. However, with this one, I was more frustrated than most, but I think that’s a me thing. Listen, when you’re reading a short(ish) story, dragging out the conflict/history is just like nails on a chalkboard for me. So yeah, I was frustrated with the story but it’s not my story to tell so *shrug* I don’t think there’s anything wrong with how the story flowed or the character development or even plot development if I’m honest, I just think some of the choices made with Eva didn’t allow me as a reader to connect with her and by the end I just didn’t care one way or the other. Okay, that’s it. That’s all I’m saying :)

Another great addition to the Written in the Stars series. Although the common theme in all these standalones have to do with astrology/zodiac . . . This book in particular did not quite seem to follow the plan. There was a scene where fate was mentioned but nothing too over the top. And I believe this was the Capricorn book . . . I dont really know much about traits for a Capricorn but maybe Eva or Ian are classic Capricorns. . . Either way, I still really enjoyed the story.

Its a small town, second chance romance filled with hurt, denial, anger, and guilt added with some lust, possession, reverie, and meant to be love as these two, Ian and Eva, wander back to love. Its a rough road back but it makes for a beautifully written quick date night with a book that gives all the feels! Highly recommend if you like the rugged ranch hand in charge kind of man that knows what he wants and is planning to get it back . . . Even if its the girl that broke his heart and keeps trying to run. Lots of push and pull throughout the story but definitely worth the feels!

First off I loved this story because it had horses!! I'm a manager of a horse farm so I was ecstatic to see that this story had a pretty heavy horse influence. That definitely kept me engaged in the story. Of course Bandit was my favorite character! Ian was a great character and I loved his possessiveness of Eva. Eva I wanted to smack most of the time. She was very selfish and honestly Ian did deserve someone better. I was quite pissed at her for drunk riding poor Bandit, poor horse shouldn't have had to put up with her crap.
It was a very interesting book that was a quick read, I read it in an afternoon. It would be a great fire side read for when it's snowing outside. It was well written and I really enjoyed reading it. It was a little light on the zodiac feel but I did like how the little bit was presented. I think it's a fun addition to the Written in the Stars series.

Eva ‘Wildflower’ Trent returns to town after leaving one day 10 years ago without a word.

Sheriff Ian Rojas has loved Eva since they were children. When she disappeared he became robotic, doing the same thing every day at the same time.

Upon Eva’s return, Ian’s routine world is shattered. Eva and Ian have a push/pull relationship, the more he pushes, the more she pulls away. Until all the secrets Eva has carried are revealed there is a ton of angst between the main characters.

I love the way Will, Ian’s younger brother riles up Ian by constantly flirting with Eva.

There are some truly laugh out loud moments, Will and Ian remind me of my sons fighting or ‘wrestling’; and there are heart-reaching truths that finally are revealed, but in the end Ian and Eva find their way together and their happy ever after.

Wandering in Love is a fast paced, second chance novella that brings some heat.

Ian is the town sheriff. He likes his rules. Eva is a free spirit and the only girl that Ian has ever loved. She left a decade ago, but now she is suddenly back in town. Despite the years of separation there is still so much chemistry between them.

When Ian and Eva first see each other again there is a pretty intense meeting and from there it starts a back and forth between them and even a little fun and games involving Ian’s brother. Eva doesn’t feel like she is good enough for reasons that aren’t explained until later in the story and Ian always wondered why she ran.

The road to HEA isn’t an easy one for Ian and Eva but it is a truly beautiful story and I loved every single moment of this book.

Wandering in Love is a part of the Written in the Stars series, while it is book 11 and I hadn’t read any others in the series it was a pure standalone in my eyes and I didn’t feel that I missed anything.

Eva ran from her small town all those years ago, leaving behind a boy that loved her with all his heart; now she is back and the talk of the town with a past that is about to turn up. Ian hasn’t left, his heart was broken all those years ago and when he comes face to face with Eva it is evident that he hasn’t moved on and she will always be his.

I personally enjoyed this story, having read Jaxon’s work previously I had no doubt that I would be pulled into the story and enjoy this 2nd chance novella.

Eva left town and never looked back, til she had trouble with her current man. Will stayed behind and pined for her, for ten years. When she returns to town, Will is interested in getting back together, he still loves her but Eva has other plans.
Opinion
This is a great novella. The characters are extremely likable and the plot is something you might hear from a friend’s life.
I personally would love to hear Will’s story next. This story did wrap up nicely so it looks like that might not happen.
I loved the bit about the author. She is dyslexic and loves algebra, much like me. The one difference is she can write well. If only I could...
Many thanks to Bare Naked Words for providing me with an ARC of this book.

As teenagers Eva and Ian fell in love and were planning a future together until she left without any notice or further contact and broke both their hearts in the process.

Ian may have moved forward with his life, but he hasn’t forgotten his first and only love. Now that she is back, he is determined to not only get her to open up about why she left but also convince her to stay.

This is a story about two people who have always belonged together who finally get their second chance.

Ian is extremely intense and a caveman when it comes to Eva. He is a man on a mission. He needs long overdue answers and his desire can't be contained for HIS one and only woman. Eva might be scared and have the wrong idea of what will happen after coming back home. But she has another thing coming because strong, possessive Ian is grabbing tight and not letting go this time.

Eva and Ian... what can I say. You can tell how strong their pull was, but because of the past and the way Eva left she was letting it dictate her future and fighting her attraction for the one person who always owned her heart. Ian never let her fighting and run stop him from loving her. You could see it in the way he talked, thought and looked at her. This was perfect!

This was a fast-paced read but still filled with lots of storyline. Living in a small town ranch town, everyone knows your business. Sheriff Ian keeps everything in order including his day to day tasks. When Eva returns just an unexpectedly as she left, there is no more order to his life. It's a good read that makes you wonder why she left in the first place.

Andi Jaxon has always been a favorite author of mine and this book is no exception to the amazing stories she weaves. Eva runs away from everything thinking she's broken. When she returns years later she isn't sure how it will go. But one thing she must learn is, no matter how far you go, your family is always waiting for you at home.

Ian and Eva are high school sweethearts. She leaves without notice to anyone and stays gone for 10 years. She comes back after being 2 hours away for all these years. Will she expose her reasons for leaving?
Will Ian forgive her after all these years? Is he still madly in love with Eva? Will the secrets break them?

Amazing short novel about a small town, a second chance romance, and fate. Ian Rojas is the Sheriff in a small town. He's been miserable since Eva, his first and only love left town 10 years ago. When Eva comes home, Ian gets a second chance! The story is fast-paced, sexy and leaves this reader with a smile on her face and a warm heart. I received this Arc in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Super quick read with an alpha caveman hero and a strong lady. Ian is super protective over Eva when she shows back up into town after ten years away. For the life of him he can't figure out why she left but once she finally spills the beans, its on like donkey kong.

Hot and Intense Second Chance love

Wow. Author Andi Jaxon ran in hot and hooked me straight away with this intense second chance novella that fitted in perfectly with the Written in the Stars multi-author series. It reminded me why I love novellas so much. They can be fitted in as the perfect length read as a lunch or bedtime read and everything within the book is just ‘more’. The romance timeline is accelerated, the chemistry is ramped on high and frustration levels?? Read on Macduff.

Eva frustrated me as much as she did Sheriff Ian Rojas, but the difference between him and me was that they had a history of unbridled love until she up and left town ten years ago, breaking his heart, whereas for me, all I felt was the frustration of unanswered questions.

My heart absolutely went out to Ian, and to be honest, I couldn’t find it within myself to connect with Eva on any level. But Author Andi Jaxon has this way luring unsuspecting readers into her stories until they are neck deep almost like in quicksand, and surely in this case, I was stuck there until the end. I HAD to find out what the hell was going on!

Yes, my heart was as happy as a romantic clam at the end for sure, realising that this WAS a twenty-something young lady whose life had been perfectly cloistered until the moment she left town. Read on people, lay those romantic hearts to rest with Ian and Eva, and the rest of this beautiful multi-author novella series. 4.5 Stars 🌟 •*´¨✯

While this is book #11, WANDERING IN LOVE is the first book I've read in the "Written in the Stars" series. I'm not sure if there is a common thread to the series or why it is a 12 book series.

Here is what I do know...

I read this book in one sitting and it has creeped into my thoughts since I read it. One of the things I love about Kindle Unlimited is the ability to go back and reread a book and still see the notes and highlights. I have questions (which I will NOT list here because I do not want to give spoilers away) and some where not answered but it is not enough to ruin the story for me. While this is the story of a young couple, I am also very curious about the mother and I think she needs her own story.

Here are 5 things I enjoyed about the book:

1. The length was perfect for a quick rainy day read.
2. The characters were introduced and their storyline moved along at a good pace.
3. Even though this is book 11 of a series, I did not feel left out or like I was missing anything
4. I am invested in more than just the main protagonists
5. I keep rethinking different scenarios about the book and am going to go back and read the others in the series because they are all on KU

I recommend this book and absolutely this author.

The Wildflower & The Sheriff ... passion ignites

Having disappeared from town ten years earlier, without telling a soul, Eva Trent has returned. Ian Rojas' life was turned upside down when she left, and now it's happening all over again now that she's returned.

To me, Eva seemed to be someone who ran away from her life when things got tough, and now she's done it again. She loves Ian, however she doesn't believe that she deserves him. Ian was a mess when Eva initially left, now that she's returned he's become a complete caveman where she's concerned. He wants her and is not shy in letting Eva or anybody else know. But, will Ian forgive Eva for the secret she has hidden for ten years?

I really enjoyed this story. It was easy to read, with a good steady pace. Even though it was a novella, Ms Jaxon was able to bring passion, intensity and a small town vibe that I loved so much. Even though there was not a lot of character development, the story didn't need it.

Another great read from Andi Jaxon.

Eva Trent and Ian Rojas were in love when they were younger, until Eva left without a trace and was gone for years. She had a good reason for leaving; she just went about it in a way that left other people hurting. Suddenly, she returns, and the first two people she sees are her mother and her ex-boyfriend, Ian. Eva is back to stay, but no one really knows that yet, so she gets a job working with Ian’s little brother on their family ranch. She and Ian are thrown together often, and finally get the chance to talk about things.

A good portion of the tension in this novella, is because the reader wants to know why she left in the first place. It takes a while to find that out, but it all makes sense once this information is revealed. There is some heartache in this story, but it turns out happily. Eva and Ian have some issues to sort out and some healing to take care of, so the journey from start to finish is somewhat bumpy. The pace keeps the reader interested, and the conflicts are laid out clearly. There is a bit of feeling unworthy involved, but once Eva feels secure, she discards that baggage. The ending is unexpectedly delightful.

This is the eleventh book in the Written in the Stars series and it is somewhat different than the others that I have read. Where the other books mentioned the zodiac signs, this one seems to have taken a different route. Eva and Ian were young and in love. There was nothing more that Ian wanted than to make his “wildflower” his own but one day, she just up and left without a goodbye. Fast forward ten years and Eva, aka wildflower, is back and she has some explaining to do…Eva was a challenging character to connect with as I found myself becoming frustrated with her inability to say what she had to say and her constant waffling. Ian also brought out some mixed feelings as the alpha male, who was going to do all he could to keep Eva, should have put his foot down and pushed to get her to open up. The chemistry between the two is HOT as evidenced by the first time they reconnect proving that absence does make the heart grow fonder. Overall, this is another entertaining addition to the series but it is not my favorite. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

This is a quick read that packs a lot in it! So Ian and Eva had a hot and heavy relationship back in school and then she ran. Flash forward 10 years later.. Ian is still in town, living his life the same way, every day. He's never forgot about Eva though. She, on the other hand, has been struggling to find herself since she ran. She comes back to town to make amends. Ian is a take charge and takes what he wants kinda Alpha. He sees Eva and immediately jumps into the bedroom with her. I thought it was bit much especially since they had so much to discuss but whatever. I loved how his brother teased him and made him realize what he needed in his life. I would have loved to have this story just a little bit longer. It was a good book with lots of heat and horses!!

This one was an interesting read for me - at parts it left me confused and I just couldn't find the connection to the MC's.

I think that maybe i had problems with it because all the books I've read so far by Andi Jaxon have been MM so there's that... no let's talk what I did like; I did like the way the town accepted her back despite her abrupt leave. I (kinda) liked the fact that he wanted her no matter what. I loved that despite the problems, the story ends on high note so that why this is a 3.5* read for me.

What I have loved about each of these books in the series is how connected they are to the horoscopes they write about. I was especially looking forward to this book, being a Capricorn. And frankly, Andi hit the mark with this book and the perfect description of the Capricorn person.

Eva never thought she'd be reunited with the one man who stole her heart when she was young. And yet, here she is facing her long lost love, Ian, and well, it's safe to say the sparks never burned out between these two

When Ian realizes Eva is back in town, he knows he must stop at nothing to make the woman of his heart stay permanently in their town, and not take his heart with her when she leaves.

I am so in love with this series and to make it even better is that I love Andi Jaxon. I enjoyed this slow burn, HEA story of Eve and Ian very much. The typical story of two people in love, one just ups and leaves only to return someday causing a whole lot of drama and hell of a lot of steam. Ian who was never the same after the only girl he ever loved left is angry and has every right to be. Eve has so many secrets that once they are exposed it makes everything blow up even more. I loved every minute of the exchange between the two of them and the road back to each other. The story also has a lot of funny moments and a brother that likes to stir the pot. Great novella. Great Series.
