The importance of having a healthy relationship with oneself , is brought to the fore, so that one can look ( objectively and in a non- judgmental way ), at the automatic, mechanical and often undesirable ways one comes forth in one's relationships.
Agendas, prejudices, stereotypes, cultural biases - as factors which contribute to the gender war , are all explored; as well as the relation enablers; disengaging from one's story, surrendering (Vs. succumbing ). REAL life examples from the lives of their workshop participants, are elaborated on to provide clarity.
The authors place a lot of importance, on the art of truly listening, to hear what is being said from the point of view of the speaker.
.Found the section on relationship splitters, fascinating. The ease with the authors state their point, without resorting to the complex and confusing concepts of psychoanalysis, is refreshing and thoroughly readable.
The authors conclude, with the section on when to get out of a relationship, if and when it does not afford any possibility of turning into a magical one .
A MUST read for anyone, desirous of creating magical relationships.
