Promises to Keep is one of my favorite books ever, I have read several times and each time I like it more. It had romance, friendship, lots of legal scenes, politics, corruption, crime solving, suspense, family drama, and also a little bit of fashion. The writing is superb, it enraptures me every single time. And each time I get to notice little details that I did not the previous time.

This time around, I could not tolerated how Samantha defended Harry. He was a horrible person as his son. He was corrupt, had affairs with multiple women, covered a murder, and did not officially acknowledged his daughter and left her penniless being a millionaire. The way she had to blackmail Philip for money and the way his mother Mary 'gave' 10,000 dollars was preposterous. I was mad angry!
Another thing that got my attention this time was Nick's jealousy. He was so jealous of Samantha that he was always acting as jerk towards her because his insecurities. He had never being perfect but I love him so much. Samantha was so incredibly independent and strong but vulnerable at the same. I understand her trust issues more with each read. They make a perfect couple. I think this is the only second chance book that convinces me every time!
