I skipped out on writing a review for book 9. Not because it was bad, it was really good. Just after doing it for so many books it gets kind of tiring. Especially manga which read so quickly. If you were reading volume 9 you're probably already a fan. Same thing goes for 10 -- so why write one? Because it was AMAZING.
I've read the light novels well beyond where this storyline is so I knew what was going to happen, but seeing it on the page was incredible. I felt like I was with this party of adventurers and wanted to give it my all to overcome the obstacles they faced.
Truly I was entranced by this volume.
Verdict: If you're a Danmachi fan and haven't been reading Sword Oratoria you really should! It is as good (if not better) than the original.

A Spirited Foe
On their way to the 58th floor of the dungeon Loki's familia (along with a few others) are caught off guard by an attack from another floor bursting up from below and Lefiya's descent to said floor far faster then the rest of the group. Thankfully with strong allies she is not alone as she finds herself plummeting to floor filled with wyverns and other dangers even as the party has to break up to minimalize the dangers. However when they finally reach the path to the elusive 59th floor things are not as they were expected and a foe stronger then any the familia has meet before awaits their arrival as does some truth to Aiz's past.

This volume compares to the anime version in one aspect: the action is incredible! In fact, I actually enjoyed the manga version a tad more. Whereas, the anime action scenes of this volume goes in a good clip, the manga slows things down and you FEEL the blood, sweat and tears. One of the best volumes of this series and a must read for fans of both anime series.
