This high-yield guide is designed to prepare students for part two (of four) of the United Stated Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). Written by medical students and reviewed by top faculty, this unique book provides practical, tested advice for acing the USMLE Step 2 CK.
Overall was really difficult to understand and the ending was anticlimactic. Was expecting an enemies to lovers trope going into it and now feel thoroughly disappointed.
This book is a must-read for the nerd inside of you that wishes to do well on Step 2. It's pain-stakingly difficult to remember all of the details; I did like how it was readable within a couple of weeks though, in contrast to the Step 1 book.
Not as good as it’s prequel. It felt less comprehensive and was missing certain topics. I had to go back to the first book to reference missing topics. I wished it was organized by shelf exam but I do understand why it is by subject (FA does make subject books but you have to buy them all individually - they don’t make a set which is frustrating)
Felt like preparing for step one. Too specific for much of the book and, having just took the test, didn’t seem high yield enough. Would have rather spent more time doing uworld or with step up to medicine.
This is a relatively tough book to read as opposed to the first book I rated “MTB” so I guess you’d need to read this book over and over again to be able to establish a solid clinical base for test taking especially when you haven’t done many clinical specialties in a while
This is what I has been keeping me from the rest of my bookshelf for the past month. This and the UWorld question bank. I would give it 5 stars for utility but I can’t say I’d recommend it to the casual reader.
Very helpful! Touches on all the high yield topics often seen on the boards. Designed for review but can work well for clearing up concepts and making connections as well.
Wish I DNFed this book but I follow through with shitty books apparently. The sequel is never as good as the first. Felt like it could’ve been written to be more comprehensive
Good jumping-off point for studying for the step 2 CK exam, but definitely not enough information for the entire exam. I supplemented with USMLEworld questions, and took notes in the margins. Hopefully these 2 sources were enough!
