Cindy Eller, Magical baker and Seraphim of Faerie, caught between the present and a future that has never, and may never happen. While she has tried all she can to adjust, there is one thing from her old life that she could never forget. Her son, Asher. When Cindy finds she cannot find Asher alone, she turns to the one person who could help her, her long-time enemy Owen Dark. As the only other person who remembers the same Path she does, she has no choice but to put her trust and her future in his hands. But, nothing good ever came from Owen Dark.
I'm so excited that Cindy is back! Yay!!! I've been missing this world for too long. I thought this was a great continuation of the story and I look forward to reading what comes next! Such a mysterious ending for her family. Hope we don't have to wait too long cause I'm very curious! I also really wish that she could take over my kitchen and make some of this deliciousness...she makes me so hungry! ;) Can you send her my way?!? (The only downside is I only seem to only have the names of the recipes, but no actual recipe at the end...did my book download incorrectly?)
I really enjoyed this book, I love the combination of settings. The joint of Faerie and our own world. I love the characters in this series as well as the accompanying books.
This, as with its predecessors, was a wonderfully woven tale.
This one got weird. That's the best I can explain it. The one before ended so abruptly, and cliffhanger. This one picked up shortly after and it took me a bit to catch up to what happened. I felt lost through a lot of the book.
