Myth is destined to save the fae kingdom of Yearn and Prince Vesper has waited for her arrival for a long time. She doesn’t have the clearest mind since she just tried to commit suicide, but now she’s swept away to Yearning to become a princess. Vesper has promised to give her love and happiness as long as she agrees to help and things seem to go well for her until something doesn’t feel right. Myth has had a pretty rough life and I feel for her, but can you instantly trust someone who promises you the world? This book had plenty of emotion, darkness, and magic. The world building was done well and I felt like I was in Yearning while reading this story. I’ve enjoyed previous books by Mira and although this isn’t my favorite, I was entertained throughout the whole story.
Matt did a good job with this narration. I enjoyed the different voices he used for each character and his voice has a steady flow between them.

German review:
____________
"The Crown of Myth" is about Myth, a young woman who is in a rather bad state of mind at the beginning of the book; she is bullied at school, was humiliated in front of everyone and is determined to end her own life because of this. At the same time, she hopes that someone will save her - and her wish comes true when the Fae show up and take her to a mysterious kingdom whose prince wants to make her his princess.

The reader is thrown directly into the story and the plot progresses rapidly right from the start. The events follow each other in quick succession and the characters are going through a lot on the comparatively few pages. The decisions that the protagonist made in the beginning initially seemed a little rash to me, especially since the kingdom of Yearning is completely alien to her, but given her situation, her behavior was somehow understandable. The book was really captivating either way and therefore it did not really bother me. I especially liked the way the author continued to tell the story from that moment on; the twists were surprising, but in retrospect everything is consistent and the little clues were integrated into the plot very cleverly.

I also enjoyed the world building; the idea that Myth could only visit Yearning at the time of the full moon was original and the contrast to her real life was shown clearly. It was interesting to learn more about this fascinating parallel world alongside her and the balance of fairytale scenes and allusions to the threat she must somehow defeat worked well. The characters themselves were well written and it was easy to empathize with Myth. I really liked her development in the course of the book. The love story did not totally convince me at first, but their dynamic became really interesting with time and there are some very nice moments between them.

Ummm weird

Okay I have to be honest I was 35% of the book when I decided I was done and I wasn’t going to finish it but I wanted to leave a review so I skimmed through it till the end. Spoilers ahead, be warned. Let me just say first off I get that she was sad so she didn’t think anyone would miss her so she agree to get in the carriage, which for one is weird whatever. Then she gets there meets the prince and in her head says of he is cute so when he asked if she will marry him, mind you this is like 10 seconds after meeting. She does what any sane girl would do and agrees... like what she doesn’t think it is a little strange that they just meant and he is asking her to be his princess idk kinda weird to me. But the thing that kinda bugs me the most is when he presents her “his gift to her” and it’s the people who were mean to her and she is just like oh ya have your scary guard person take them to your dungeon, like whatttt. I get that they were mean to you but you are going to question that. Ugghhh I don’t know, it’s not a bad book just a couple of things kinda irritated me.

I read Fae's Queen as part of YA Fantasy Romance Series Bundle by Mira Crest is a great package deal. This offering is a group of four different books are all the first book in their respective series. The books included are as follows: 1) Soul Mates: This is a reverse harem fantasy where four guardians end up as forever mates. 2) Mermaid’s Destiny: This is the Meragon series’ first book where a imprisoned mermaid and dragon must work together to save each other. 3) Fae’s Queen: This book is a modern retelling of a fairy tale that includes wishing and moving between this world and another alternate world. 4) Rebirth: A human girl learns that she is in danger from paranormal creatures that she didn’t even know were real. Each book in this set is an entertaining read. I can’t pick just one as my favorite because I loved all of them for different reasons. Reading this set is an excellent way to find a new favorite series. Fae’s Queen is a wish come true.

Myth, our heroine, starts this story with a suicide attempt because of school bulling. Not a great start.
She is saved by a fae prince that takes her to his world and gives her love and meaning for the first time. The problem is the prince is not telling her the truth and reality is an horror story that will put an end to the short dream.
I've listen to the audiobook and the narrator is ok. I would expect it to be a female because of the main character, though the story is told in the 3rd person.
The story ends with a happy ending for now, but there is more to the serie.

Exciting

This was a very interesting book. It has sadness, joy, despair, love, fear, hatred and anger. It also has hope. Most people will empathize with the girl in this story. And most will be happy for her when she finds love, but is it real? The author did a great job in expressing all the emotions above and maybe even a few I did not mention. Very descriptive. I enjoyed reading the book.

Lovely

What a lovely short story. I normally dislike short stories because they jump to fast through all but this one was different and kept my attention. Yes some things happened to quickly but still was a good read. I hope the author makes a part 2 because the ending left you there waiting for more.
