Malorie Cooper likes to think of herself as a dreamer and a wanderer, yet her feet are firmly grounded in reality.
A ‘maker’ from an early age, Malorie loves to craft things, from furniture, to cosplay costumes, to a well-spun tale, she can’t help but to create new things every day.
A rare extrovert writer, she loves to hang out with readers and people in general. If you meet her at a convention, she just might be rocking a catsuit, cosplaying one of her own characters, or maybe her latest favorite from Overwatch!
She shares her home with a brilliant young girl, her wonderful wife (who also writes), a cat that chirps at birds, a never-ending list of things she would like to build, and ideas…
Concludes the story started in Minds and Bodies. The situation is far more complex than the crew of Sabrina first thought. This story brings up the age old question of freedom. Give me liberty or give me death! Some people can’t survive liberty unfortunately, which makes them easy prey for determined dictators. In the story’s universe the whole question becomes extremely complicated with SAIs hating organics, organics hating SAIs, other organics and SAIs just wanting all sentients to be equal and work together. There is still a problem at the end of the story which is not resolved. Maybe we’ll find out in the next book as Sabrina, Jessica and the crew go on about their business.
Author M.D. Cooper brings us the second episode (novella) in the Inner Stars season of Perseus Gate. Jessica and her crew are still fighting their way through the station at the heart of the Virginia's system and the AI that controls the station doesn't want them to succeed. Jessica and her crew fight for everything that they have through mech's that have been forced into being to the AI nodes where it becomes a battle of wills for Iris who now separate from Jessica tries to hack the AI who pushes back but her mother steps in and helps. This is a great novella and I'm looking forward to the next episode. I highly recommend this series to all science fiction fans.
Another great story in the Perseus series. Continuing on from the previous episode, mysteries are unravelled and bad guys unmasked. Jessica, Sabrina and Cheeky in good form as usual, but we also get to know others like Usef, Iris and Amavia better which is great. I also like being able to have a story concentrated in just one station, highlighting well that at whatever level you go, whether galaxy, sector, system, planet or station, things are just as complicated.
Sabrina's crew rises up to the challenge of facing all kinds of enemies: soldiers, bots, mechs, AIs... and traitors. Each crew member plays their strengths and abilities to the max. There's a lot going on - - it's the kind of book you can't put down. A worthwhile complement to the first part.
Jessica and company are around for a coup attempt that they take down to find that there were two groups in it, one of AI’s and one of humans. Which was strange since they both were actually against each other!! Read to find out what happens!!!
The story arc continues to gain momentum as Sabrina and her crew travel the Inner Stars in their mission to undo or at least lesson the unrest their feeding of the AI's caused.
Intense battles, plot twists and characters that develop complex personalities. This story has them all & more. Come aboard for another addictive page turner. You won't be disappointed.
It's insanity on Virginis when the crew of Sabrina come to help them. Secrets of many kinds are uncovered, some welcome, some really not. It makes you think, that's for sure.
Well written. A few editing/proofreading errors but none that ruined the flow. I liked reading more about the AI and what they're thinking, about themselves and organics.
So much fun!! I love following Jessica and I really love the episode setup. Read them all and really get a different perspective of the central stories.
As always, Cooper’s writing is superb. Good, solid science fiction, stunning main characters, and great dialogue. Readers who like battle will love this book.
