Last Call is book one in the Heartsville series by Christina Lee and Felice Stevens. While I have read several of Felice’s books, this is my first time reading Christina. This is a MMM romance and although I’ve read so very many MM romances, this is my very first MMM...and I loved it. It was so well written. Yes, it was so steamy, but also a beautiful love story between these three men.
Quinn Monahan and Grayson Page have been best friends since childhood. Both had rough upbringings and were each other’s strength through the hardest of times. As they grew into adulthood, their friendship remained and they opened Last Call, a bar in Heartsville, PA together. They live in the upstairs living quarters.
Both Quinn and Grayson are gay and both have secretly been in love with the other their entire lives. But both kept it a secret. Neither wanted to jeopardize their friendship and now business partnership by adding in romantic feelings to the mix. Neither are aware of the other’s feelings.
Emery Woods has been on his own since he was seventeen years old. He spent all his years traveling as a roadie with a circus. But when it folded, he was out of a job and has been drifting ever since, more often than not sleeping in his car. This has been going on for two years. All he wants is a beer and break from driving when he stops into Last Call. Something about the place called to him. But when he finds himself stranded there, he has no choice but to except the offer of a couch and a warm meal.
When Last Call is damaged by a storm, Quinn and Gray offer Emery a chance to make some money by helping with repairs. It’s the perfect arrangement. Emery can’t help but to notice the looks Quinn and Gray have for each other when they don’t think the other is looking. He also can’t help but to feel attracted to both men. But he’s not willing to take the chance of having his heart broken.
None of the three men have the strength to deny their attraction to one another. Emery is sort of a bridge to finally getting Quinn and Gray to explore their attraction to each other. Somehow the three of them just work together. They all find something together they never thought they’d have, home.
This was such a sweet and wonderful love story. All three of these men have been hurt. All in different ways. All three with scars on their hearts. Emery most of all has trouble accepting that Quinn and Gray won’t eventually hurt him. He’s always been on his own. Can he finally have found a place where he can be loved? Where he can put down roots? Where he can call home?

I like Christina Lee's work, but I'm not a fan of Felice Stevens. Unfortunately, this story, while super sexy with some truly tender moments and a strong HFN, felt more like the work of the latter (which for me is not a good thing).
The voices of the men weren't distinct enough, to the point that sometimes I got confused as to who was narrating which section.
The story was also repetitive; the internal monologues got really boring after a while.
Quinn was the rich boy whose parents didn't love him, while Emery and Gray had sad backstories. It was all very cookie cutter. I wanted more depth from the MCs and the plot.

I really liked this story. For some reason it took me ages to read, but I genuinely enjoyed it.
Quinn and Gray are best friends and run a pub together: Last Call.
They both have feelings for each other but never dare tell the other for fear they might get rejected, wrecking their friendship.
Emery is a rootless guy who used to work for a circus and never had a real home. Now that the circus is closed, he's drifting. Trying to make a few bucks in a random pub doing bets, he runs into Quinn and Gray.
And the three of them like each other a lot.
That's basically all there is to say. It's three guys falling in love and becoming involved.
Large parts of the book were sex, but still I found Emery, Quinn and Gray super sweet guys who were a perfect match for each other.
The plot wasn't overly complex, though, and the drama towards the end was barely there.
Still, it's a 4 star read when you're in the mood for some m/m/m :-)

Thirty something Emery came into Last Call one rainy night. The town drunk picked a fight, and flattened Emery's tires, so, Gray and Quinn, bar owners had a guest. They lived above the bar, and the thunderstorm caused some big damage. Emery and Gray struck a bargain, because Emery could do the construction work. As a former circus roadie his whole life, he was a jack-of-all trades.
Emery worked hard, and also cooked for the men, so Gray and Quinn liked having him around. Both men have never acted on their attraction for each other.
Now, both are attracted to Emery. Our men each had sad childhoods. They are doing well now, but Quinn's crappy ex showed up causing problems and doubts. Quinn was strong and stood up to him, and solidly reinforced his need for Gray and Emery.
Quinn and Emery's kiss starts the cascade of opened feelings, and more kisses all around. They each mull the situation in their minds and speak openly about their feeling. Usually stiff Gray has loosened and the threesome is born. An abundance of hot, sweaty ménage, sexy coupling, are well done and exciting.
We find these men are great for each other, in and out of bed.
Quinn and Gray are finally revealing their long hidden feelings, which Emery seemed to help happen.
Beautifully needy men find their "home" in each other and it's the forever kind.
Well written by two amazing authors, I knew I liked from other books.
I shed some tears and reveled in their deeply emotional, bone deep love.
Highly recommended. ENJOY !

This book is a mess. Zero chemistry between the MCs. No clear voice or distinction between Quinn, Gray and Emery. They all sound exactly the same and having all three POVs gave the book zero depth.
And it's cheesy. The dialogue. Their actions. It pains me to say this, but even the sex at times was cheesy.
It's not easy writing a throuple...and these authors were not successful at it. It was mechanical and formulaic. I felt nothing between these guys. The sex was very "if one guy is here, the other guy is there." Very threesome sex manual stuff.
And half the time it felt like the authors were focusing more on explaining to the reader how a throuple could work. Or trying to convince the reader that they belong together as a threesome, and how it wouldn't work if any two broke off to be together.
Instead of letting the story happen organically and letting Quinn, Gray and Emery's relationship progress naturally, the authors spent a lot of time being on the defensive about throuples. This whole book screams THROUPLES CAN WORK. NO ONE GETS JEALOUS. THEY'RE ALL EQUALS.
And don't even get me started on the inclusion of the "bisexuals are cheaters" bullshit.
Quinn's ex-boyfriend cheated on his wife for over a year with Quinn (Quinn didn't know he was married). And it's implied that the ex would really rather be with a man.
And then a subplot with a secondary character stems from his anger and bitterness that his wife left him to be with a woman.
Eleventy million ideas and THIS is what the authors chose to include in their book. I'm really sick and tired of the insinuation that bisexuals are cheaters.
I'll end my review on a positive note...I like the cover and what the three shots represent in the story. I thought that was cute.

I'm going to keep this review short.
I liked the concept of this book. And I enjoyed the characters. But there were some parts that could have been executed better. I thought that we could have used more information; on the characters backgrounds, the scenery (for me to imagine it, because I usually can but couldn't in this book), etc.
I had a hard time connecting to the people as well. And some parts felt rushed, especially between Quinn and Gray. But the writing I thought was well done. I thought it flowed really well, mainly because it was written by two different authors.
Overall, not my favorite by the authors but I'm excited to see what else they have for us in the future.
An arc was provided in exchange for an honest review.

I’m always on the lookout for a good ménage story and this surprise release co-written by one of my go-to authors worked very well for me. There is no sexual or romantic relationship between any of the three men when the story starts. At least not in reality. Quinn has had feelings for his best friend and business partner Gray for years but never would he ever speak of it. Same goes for Gray who thinks Quinn couldn’t possibly be interested in him that way. As close as the two men are, they are very different. Quinn is always looking for the good in people while Gray leads with suspicion. Enter Emery, a stranger who appears down on his luck and in a bit of trouble. Quinn is immediately attracted while Gray is immediately wary; Emery is both of these things. Three different personalities, with Emery being a perfect balance between Quinn and Gray.
When Quinn and Gray offer Emery some work at their bar to give him a couch to stay on and help him get him back on his feet then out of town, It’s only a matter of time before the sizzling and palpable connection between Quinn and Emery leads to something. The real question is what will Gray do? The attraction between Gray and Emery is slower to emerge and while Emery picks up on the tension between the two friends, they do nothing but deny it. Emery is not looking to settle in the small town and is definitely not looking to come between Quinn and Gray but that only lasts so long before he finds himself literally in that exact position.
This story is completely relationship focused as the men have plenty of their own doubts and insecurities to work through. Each of them has had difficulties that have shaped their lives and needs but Emery and Gray especially have similarities that allow them to come to an understanding of each other. There is a lot of discussion and worrying and while Emery notices the attraction between Gray and Quinn and has brought it up, Gray and Quinn talk around it for the longest time until one night when things get physical and they are all forced to rethink things.
There was a good build up to things getting physical. Nobody jumped in and Emery, especially, made sure to voice his concerns. These three men were super sexy in any combination, I never felt that there was any imbalance between the men in bed. Even with the long history between Gray and Quinn, I never felt that they thought of Emery as an interloper or outsider. Emery though succumbs to his self-doubt and his wariness of settling down and there is a moment of wondering whether he can ever accept his desire to stay. Luckily the bit of angst isn’t drawn out or unrealistic. Same goes for the few flares of jealousy each man feels. They were realistic, but nothing that got in the way of working out the relationship.
While I enjoyed the fact that the focus stayed on the relationship issues, there was a bit of a buildup with a troubling bar patron that threaded throughout the story. I was expecting a bit more to come of it, but it seemed to mostly just fizzle out at the end.
I’m a huge fan of ménage stories and of Felice Stevens, but I’ve never read a Christina Lee book before (gasp! I know). The collaboration definitely worked for me as the story flowed so seamlessly I couldn’t tell who wrote what parts. I’d recommend this to anyone who likes a light, relationship focused ménage with some sizzling sexy times and minimal angst.

Review by The Blogger Girls.
This is the story of two men who are best friends and co-owners of a bar named Last Call. They have been through a lot together over the years, and while both are gay, they have never been together for fear of changing their friendship. Neither really knows how the other feels though, as they have both kept that info to themselves but for the same reasons. Then comes Emery, the drifter trying to find his way after the circus closed down, the only life/job he’s really known. Circumstances leave him somewhat stranded at Last Call, and Emery ends up doing odd jobs to pay his way and make repairs to his car.
Both Gray and Quinn are attracted to Emery, but knowing Quinn is, Gray won’t stand in his way. Emery is also attracted to both Gray and Quinn, but refuses to get in between Quinn and Gray, even though both are adamant they are nothing more than friends.
Little by little, Emery gains their trust, and vice versa. One thing leads to another, and eventually, they are all on board, but it takes some time. They are very clear on how things should work between the three of them, as Emery is a bit gun shy about being the third wheel, something which ended badly for him in the past. He doesn’t see how it could be any other way given Quinn and Gray’s long history, so they have to work pretty hard at times to keep Emery from fleeing.
I loved watching these guys work things out. Gray and Quinn are a family, and they definitely have room in their hearts for Emery, who truly needed the same. Sometimes a story loses a little wind for me when the characters spend too much time in some type of denial. There was just enough of that here to make this not blow me away. However, it was a really enjoyable threesome relationship that centers around trust and love, and I can totally see these guys lasting. Emery becomes an integral partner, not just in the relationship but in the business as well. He was just what Gray and Quinn needed to push them together and to make their bar more successful in the process.
These authors painted a nice picture of the somewhat small Pennsylvania town, which made me want to go right out and find Last Call to become one of their regulars. I’ll definitely be looking out for more in the future from this writing duo!

It's no secret that I struggle with any type of threesome stories. I honestly never read one that really full filled me. I fell like there's always more attention to one character or one relationship than all 3.
Even though I did liked this story and I do believe it was entertaining and it had a really nice sense of "they are going to be ok" in the end, it had the same attention to one character issue.
As you know from the blurb Quinn and Gray have known each other for years so I feel like the authors tried not to do the attention thing on these two because of their history but the problem was that then it shifted to Emery, both guys had their attention on him and I did felt like his voice was stronger.
Another issue that I had is the fact that even if I understand that the exhanges needed to be equal, a conversation between Quinn and Gray was necessary, they had feelings for YEARS! and it never happened, I kept waiting for it and it was pretty much brushed off and even when they said I love you for the first time it was actually all about Emery so it didn't felt big.
In the end even though I did liked t, it confirmed my belief that I just don't like menage books.

This was a sweet read. For me, it held no fireworks, it’s not something that will stick with me. But it provided enjoyment for the time I spend reading it.
I liked the idea around the story but I think the ‘drama’ aspect was kind of mehhh...
Gray immediately got my attention with the idea of being “dark/mysterious” but it never felt as if his personality was fleshed out enough for me to really understand him or why he is so “elusive/closed off”
Quinn is the sweet kind hearted soft soul between the two “tarnished” counterparts. He just wants to love and be loved.
Emery... well I liked him. Although I thought him being uncaring and thoughtless in the way he handled his last “pity-party” and I called it a pity-party because what else can you call it?
As I said, I liked the idea, and I’m also a fan of well written 3-somes. This one was not on top of my list unfortunately. But that being said I DID enjoy the read.

Gray immediately got my attention with the idea of being “dark/mysterious” but it never felt as if his personality was fleshed out enough for me to really understand him or why he is so “elusive/closed off”
Quinn is the sweet kind hearted soft soul between the two “tarnished” counterparts. He just wants to love and be loved.
Emery... well I liked him. Although I thought him being uncaring and thoughtless in the way he handled his last “pity-party” and I called it a pity-party because what else can you call it?
As I said, I liked the idea, and I’m also a fan of well written 3-somes. This one was not on top of my list unfortunately. But that being said I DID enjoy the read.

A pretty solid hurt/comfort ménage romance. A scooch formulaic, and because it alternates between the three main characters in the 1st person, it was hard to follow which guy was talking. But Kale Williams gives it a valiant try.

Beginning was more entertaining than the last half.
The inner monologue was very repetitive from all three of them.
I wished there was more depth with the three men. Oh well Kale Williams did a great job with the narration! Haha

It was really a surprise book when Felice Stevens announced that she and Christina Lee has a collaboration book together and it's an MMM!
From the sound of it, it's already sexy. I mean, I have love Felice's book since the beginning, loving her men, and writing with Christina Lee made me wonder how this book's gonna be.
I dug in soon as I had the book in my hand and I can't stop reading until I finished this.
Gray, Quinn, Emery, three lonely souls, Looking for something they can called 'home' for a very long time.
At first, it was Quinn and Gray, best friends with the hiding feeling, you know, the usual. Both afraid if the feeling revealed, it will ruin their friendship. So, both better have a great friendship than having a love affair with a probability won't work out.
But they forgot one thing. Communication. Men, with their 'communication skills'. SMH.
The Emery came into the picture and there are some 'feelings' involved. Insecurity, jealousy, pain in the stomach that something should be happening but afraid they will ruin it.
IMO, the feeling felt 'real', especially when there's a third person involved.
Again, they need communication. They didn't went straight to bed together, not before everyone's knew what they wanted for each other.
Oh and talking about 'bed', soon as they're together, nothing can stop them. And they're super sexy together, I'm not complaining. Not at all.
But Emery felt something that Quinn and Gray have, he didn't have, he's became insecure. And it took some people to show him how much Gray and Quinn needed him. They are one.
Of course, they have their happy ending, and I'm a happy girl that the three lovely soul finally found what they called 'HOME', in each other arms.
SIGH.

I did enjoy this story. I really liked all three of the characters. Gray was probably my favorite. I really enjoyed the dynamic between him and Quinn. I liked Emery a lot too, and I'm glad that it didn't go the super angsty route that it could have with his background and such.
My issue with the story was some of the writing, I think. There were things that pulled me out of the story a bit. The use of the word "crackling"--it was just too much in the beginning. The other issue I had was
Those were just little thoughts of mine. I did adore the guys, I would recommend the read. There are times when MMM doesn't work for me, but this was well done as far as thoughts and feelings. oh and praise Jesus, we got all three POVs, which I freaking LOVED.

I love a good menage and this one from two of my favourite authors fully meets the criteria. It's a true threesome with each partner having a full say in the relationship.
In Last Call we see two best friends with a hint of a spark who've never dared to take the risk in case they ruined their friendship. When Emery arrives, down on his luck but willing to do anything to get back on his feet, he provides the catalyst for their feelings to kick off.
There's a good lot of explosive sex in this book, but there's also an awful lot of excellent discussion and conversation about feelings and emotions. There's a crisis moment, which adds a little to the angst, but it's never overblown.
There's just a real feel good factor to this one as the three men set off to make their own family and their own traditions.

Grey and Quinn have been friends since childhood. Their feelings have progressed to love but neither has been willing to admit it, they don't want to take the chance on losing each other. Into their bar, "Last Call", strolls Emery. He's hasn't had a home for several years.... since losing his last job when the circus he worked in closed down. He's tired...especially tired of sleeping in his car. He comes into "Last Call" hoping to make a little money betting on the bars arm wrestling. What he does have is a strong work ethic and soon he is offered room and board to help Gray and Quinn with repairs to their place. What follows is the story of three guys just letting go of the past and finding what they need in each other. I have read almost everything that Felice Stevens has written but together with Christina Lee they are a wonderful writing pair.

Felice Stevens and Christina Lee are amazing authors in their own right....But put them together and you get an absolutely perfect menage book...One who's MC's just draw you in....I've not read a menage where none of them were in a relationship at the start but it worked perfectly....Quinn and Gray(love that name) have been nest friends for years and when Emery comes into their bar Last Call their lives are going to change.....They were all great together....The way they first all came together was amazing and just right.....No one was ever left out....if two were kissing the third would always be connected to them by a touch....I really hope that these two will give us more collabs....like Devon/Riley and Nyrae/Christina this is a prefect pairing and a must read...Even if you don't like menage you will love this one x

Quinn and Grayson have loved each other for the past 20 years - as best friends and partners in their bar neither man made the move so that their friendship was always strong. While at rock bottom Emory stops in at the bar to buy a beer and consider what would be next in his life. Completely down on his luck, no home, no job, Emory is faced with loneliness and is destitute. Quinn having a soft heart recognizes something in Emory and feels compelled to help, as he did for his best friend Gray so long ago. The story begins as the three men learn to trust and love. ❤️

Melancholy, yet so hopeful.
When I first read Last Call, when it released in 2017, what struck me the most was how melacholy of a story it was, and the audiobook really brought that feeling home. But it's also hopeful and so full of love. When Emery enters Quinn and Gray's lives, nothing could prepare those 2 for the way their worlds were about to change.
I loved that we got to see inside each of their heads, I don't think this story could have worked any other way. We were able to see each of their strengths and their vulnerabilities. My heart hurt for each of these men, they've all had a tough time of things, in one way or another. I loved how they were able to open up with each other, to share their feelings, their concerns and hopes. I love the life they create together.
Kale does a wonderful job giving each of these men their own voices, and I don't just mean how they sounded. He brought vulnerability to Emery, strength to Gray, and such caring to Quinn. I really enjoyed listening to him bring Quinn, Gray, and Emery to life.

I had to pay extra attention to whom was speaking in each chapter. Still, I sometimes got lost and had to switch to the beginning of a chapter to see whose POV I was reading.

Wow, did I love this! This is one of the most realistic MMM books I've ever read. The characters and story are so believable and I fell so hard for these guys. With a steady pace and a slow build, Grayson, Quinn, and Emery became one of my favorite reads of the year. So sweet, so loving, and again, so believable. The way they grew together, fell in love, their vulnerability. How could I not fall in love? So well written. And uhhh, yeah, in the middle of all the sweet - holy hot! Had to get the fan out!
This is the first collaboration between Felice Stevens and Christina Lee, and I have to say, the writing was almost seamless; it was as if one person had written the book. I highly recommend, and if I had one wish at the moment it would be for these two talented authors to work their magic together again. I'd snap that up in an instant.

Gray and Quinn have been best friends since High School and now co-own a small town bar called Last Call. They have always been there for each other and know all about their family dynamics and pasts, but they never tried a romantic relationship. And even though they both had feelings for each other, they never admitted it and pretended they did not exist.
But Emery's arrival into their town and their bar is a catalyst for change. Due to circumstances he ends up staying with them, and feelings begin to grow among them. They discover closeness, attraction, lust, longing, jealousy, and friendship. But Emery also acts as sort of a bridge leading Gray and Quinn to explore their own unresolved feelings for each other.
I enjoyed the fact that all of these men had unique personalities, histories, and were vulnerable. Gray was more untrusting and stoic than Quinn who was the bleeding heart that wanted to take care of people. Emery was more the lost, lonely guy who never had a true home or felt like he belonged. They each had fears and insecurities that they had to work through together. I would have liked to see some better communication at times and more depth, but they had good chemistry and a strong respect for each other.
They each provide something that the others need and begin to find unexpected fulfillment together as they open their hearts and minds to something new and different...but will they be able to keep each other or will one or more get hurt?

I just finished Last Call by Felice Stevens and Christina Lee and let me tell you...it was FANTASTIC!! ...I know there are a lot of you who are not in to MMM and I can totally understand why...I, however, am a huge fan of MMM done right and let me tell you, this was done SO RIGHT!! It was perfect...This is not what I often see as typical MMM...the approach to the relationship is completely different than what I've usually read before which quite often can be awkward and many think of as cheating...There was nothing close to that in this book..This was as far from awkward as one can get......I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I do want to point out that there was no established relationship in this book when it began......It was beautifully written, emotional and ridiculously hot!!! The anticipation was off the charts!! The writing was superb and seamless...These ladies wrote as one, and I absolutely loved it!! If you love MMM you MUST read it, and if you are on the fence you MUST read it because it's like no other MMM you've read before!! CONGRATULATIONS ladies!!!

I really enjoyed this. Hot, sweet, sexy, good plot development with a little angst & a realistic look at the emotions behind a poly relationship. The three guys were perfect for each other - Quinn & Gray provided the stability & family that Emery was missing, while Emery provided the emotional & sexual bridge between best friends Quinn& Gray. Loved the build in passion. Only one small peeve - why bother mentioning “getting tested” in the final pages with the result of it being off-page??

One of the Things that I struggle with the most when reading a three some story, is that I only feel a connection between two of the MC’s and the third is just in the sidelines. In Last Call, I felt the feelings were there with all three men. Maybe it was the fact that we get all three perspectives and what is going on in their heads but it worked.
Emery slides into a stool at Last Call just wanting to rest and have a beer before moving on again. He doesn’t count on sweet Quinn or protective Gray.
These men take a while to figure out their relationship but they are willing to fight for it. Emery has to trust that Quinn and Gray are not going to cast him aside. Quinn has to believe in Gray and Emery and that having this relationship will never kill the friendship. And Gray must learn to see the best in people, not always expect the worst.

When I found out that Christina Lee and Felice Stevens had collaborated on Last Call, to say I was crazy excited to read it would be putting it mildly. I’ll tell you right now, this book definitely lived up to my expectations and I hope this means we’ll see more in the future from the two of them together! Their writing was so seamless, I couldn’t tell who wrote which parts.
I loved all three of these guys, each for separate reasons. Quinn for his compassion and kindness, Gray for his perseverance and dominance, and Emery for his painful past and his need for both Quinn and Gray—coupled with his reluctance to fall for them. I’ll admit, when their story first started out I was just as unsure as Emery was that things could work out given Quinn and Gray’s long personal history together. And at the beginning, it felt to me like they were three individuals coming together, not a cohesive unit that worked as one.
I really liked that their relationship built over time—no rushing, but actually really getting to know each other and growing closer slowly. The intimacy builds slowly too, gradually becoming more and more intense as the story went on. There’s no question of the chemistry they had together…Quinn and Emery, Emery and Gray, Gray and Quinn…and all three as one. While I may have felt at the start that they were three individuals, by the end of the story I couldn’t imagine one without the other two.
Last Call was an amazing story, and was a 4.5-star read for me. If you like slow building romances, and are a fan of M/M/M menage, this is definitely one you won’t want to miss. This book is meant strictly for readers 18+ for adult language and explicit sexual content.
