An easy to read and understand for the un-initiated

While there are plenty of books that promise to help you understand the basics of network basics, this book is one of the rare ones that actually deliver that promise.

I loved the authors usuage of simple and plain language to introduce and explain topics covered in the book. There are apt analogies between real world situations and network concepts, allowed me to accept the explanation and remember the material being read in an easy way.

I must say no book is devoid of errors, this one is no exception, but that didn't deter me to rate it 5 🌟, as the errors are not grave. Some just broke the sentence, but it still conveyed the point. Simplicity rules!

This book is poorly organized and poorly written. He'll start talking about a concept without any introduction about what it is. He'll explain something and show a screen shot of a packet capture without any indication of how his conclusions are derived.

In the end, it's a short book, and it's all there, but just be prepared to do some external research while reading

Was made as an Ebook. I got it on print. Lots of spelling and grammar errors. Not very helpful. I don’t know anything about computer networking so maybe pros would appreciate what is said. But, for a beginner, this is not a good start.

Good but limited

Could go deeper into protocol uses update versus tcp. Also up management and nat networks would help too. Overall good.

Good overview

This book is good if you are interested about basics and in trying your hand on a Cisco router. Not for a deeper understanding
