This penultimate instalment cemented Daniel and Ryan’s growing feelings and relationship status, as Ryan pushes Daniel to his physical limits, proving (after their saucy book eight dalliance) that Ryan is ALL Daniel needs/wants/could possibly ever hope to be completely, overwhelmingly satisfied, in and out of the bedroom.

This is one steamy extended scene, with plenty of overstimulation and forced orgasms for Daniel, who is growing to love Ryan’s laser keen attention and astounding control, demonstrating once again just how perfectly fitted these two men are together.

5 BIG stars Ryan, a man I adore! He pays so much attention to Daniel it's just overwhelming. When Ryan opens his mouth gold is coming out. Daniel is getting more open and relaxed. We even get to see a humorous side of him.

Ryan is completely in charge....I must say while reading I get nervous and then I read this line:

"excitement-anticipation-nervousness"

Let me tell you....not only for Daniel...Holy shit...my stomach is turning into knots...
(Yeah...reviewing while reading)

I have faith in Ryan but he is also human....

The building up... and then Chapter three was....breathtaking...it made me speechless... so intense...it was almost if I was bodily Daniel and watching through Ryan's eyes...exhausting...
Afterwards it was perfect...just perfect.. I was moved by the whole scene..

These two men are growing on me and every time more. Emotionally I feel connected with them...while reading I felt both Ryan and Daniel their emotions ....I feel so connected I'm even afraid to face the moment to say goodbye....

I'm so so thrilled there is still more coming....of course it has to end once and at some point.... but the knowing there will be more......heaven.....

Again written in a breathtaking way. The whole scenery, the environments was masterwork.
With so little, as in a cocoon, to make such a build up, that's what I call excellence writing skills.

Seeing Daniel and Ryan grow ever closer to be an established couple is a joy. The story veered off in a different direction than I expected in this episode, but it all ends well. Looking forward to the next and final episode with equal measures of anticipation and dread; I don't want their story to end!

Kinks: forced orgasms, D/s, and overstimulation.

As we near the end of the series, Daniel’s avoidance his feelings for Ryan is messing him up. His slow-mo freakout about the extent and depth of Ryan’s feelings for him is awkward and painful to read. Don’t get me wrong, it’s also great because this Daniel has grown so far from the one in the first book.

One thing I thought was interesting was the ending. Which is v. sweet.

The two negatives I have are seeing Daniel having doubts in this book when that was something that I thought they had addressed several books ago. Maybe he needed the reassurance, I dunno. The second thing is that this is a v. insular book. It’s all about Daniel and Ryan with v. little interference from the outside world.

TL;DR: One last look at Daniel and Ryan before the big finale. I did feel like we had dealt with Daniel’s insecurity before and I was kinda like "whatever happened to Ryan’s friends?" Still, as the series gets closer to the end, it was a good novella and I don’t regret reading it at all.

With all that we’ve been through with Daniel and Ryan I was curious when I saw the title of this book. These two have done a lot with their relationship, scenes and pushing Daniel’s limits. After the last book, I admit I was wary of the possible next step but I took faith that the author knows her characters well and she sure as hell knows them inside and out.

Oh. Em Gee.

This. Was. Hot.

I don’t know what I thought I would get, well I did with the towel laid out but what I thought was going to happen didn’t and what I got was so much better.

Ryan’s the first person Daniel’s been with whom he could be happily, long-term monogamous with. He’s just not sure if Ryan feels the same way.

Daniel has always had the thoughts that Ryan was enough for him and that he ticked off every box Daniel could have or want in a relationship that includes his kink. Ryan has given Daniel everything and all Daniel wants is Ryan fully in return but neither man presses the topic. When Daniel gets a text from a Dom he’s played with at the club inquiring about his absence, he is unsure how to answer with sincerity and include Ryan in the answer.

That brings us to the newest scene with Daniel and Ryan and good lord, it was intense, erotic and off the charts filthy gorgeous.

“What do you say to make me to stop?”

“Red,” he whispers.

“Do you need to say it?”

“Please,” he begs.

“You’re going to scream for me,”

Is it hot in here? *pulls up hair and fans neck* I feel hot.

Anyway. This installment of the Daniel and Ryan serial justly takes the men to the limits of what they both can handle with kinky play, emotions and the future of their arrangement. Ryan has a plan to remind Daniel that the two of them are enough regardless of how much they enjoyed having Brett join them. I am still not sure who benefited from the scene more to ease their conscience, Daniel or Ryan. We don’t get Ryan’s POV so one would assume the confident Dom doesn’t question Daniel’s feelings and knows where both stand in every aspect of the relationship. And yet having Daniel’s cerebral POV we know what he wants to be monogamous with Ryan… and … ugh.

Again, I wish we could get a glimpse into Ryan’s head. This scene was so thoroughly orchestrated with a high level of dominance and eroticism that I really want to pick at his gray matter and know if he was as on edge as he had Daniel.

Though we get an answer to the text that Daniel and Ryan agree on, the excerpt for the next (and last?) book has me wondering on where we will leave the couple. I guess I will just wait and see.

It was a nice instalment but I it was among the ones I liked the least. I still enjoy a lot of it. I think the way they have growth as a couple is what I’m liking the most and every little gesture and every little step towards that direction made me smile.

The problem I had with this one was that not only was lower in steam, but also in emotional connection. I get that now they know each-other very well and, even though testing the limits is something I like a lot and the title seem really interesting, I expected something different. Along the series I had loved the unusual ways they had to express in their sexual encounters, but in this one I was a little disappointed.

The things that I liked about it was the way their relationship is developing. I’m having a great time seeing little details that show how much they care for each-other, even if they might not express it in words. Overall it was a nice read.

There is a part of Daniel, albeit a small one, that still doesn’t know how Ryan feels about him. He knows how Ryan feels about the scenes they do, and how he feels about Daniel as a person, but how does Ryan feel about them as a couple? A committed pair? Boyfriends? Daniel is all caught up on the monogamy issue, and just what it means to him and Ryan. Are they exclusive because their schedules and their kinks sync, or does it go deeper than that? Oddly enough, it’s Daniel’s own wish to bring in a third with their last scene that has him questioning just where he and Ryan stand. And Ryan has plans for that. Of course, he does.
“I know you had fun with Brett,” Ryan says. “I know he definitely had fun with you, but now it’s the two of us again. I’m going to show you we’re enough. Maybe even too much.”

And boy does he ever. Ryan is never big on words, but he is a man of action and he spends this whole book proving to Daniel that what is between them is real, it’s hella-hot, and it’s forever. We still don’t have the “L” word, but we are getting there, as I am already a believer in this relationship and its ability to last the test of time. Once again Ryan wraps Daniel up and takes him to a place of complete adoration outside himself. There are ten books in this serial, and that means we only have one left. The blurb intimates that it is about them announcing their relationship to the outside world; I am assuming Daniel’s sister and family is a big part of that. The ending for this one will be bittersweet. As a whole, I hate serials, but this one grabbed me and wouldn’t let go. Mainly, Daniel and Ryan grabbed me and I am so glad they did. The writing is excellent in these shorts, and the pacing on the money. Little by little these two men have grown closer together, and all Daniel’s boundaries are coming down just for Ryan. Looking at the Daniel in this episode nine, and comparing him to the Daniel from book one, is an eye opener in just how far he has come. I mean, Daniel was a mess in this book, and it wasn’t him who insisted on the shower afterward, it was Ryan. That’s like…amazing!
Ryan presses a kiss to Daniel’s forehead, tender, barely a touch but one Daniel feels all the way down to his toes.

Daniel’s a goner and so is Ryan. It’s taken nine books for Ryan to prove it to Daniel. I can’t wait to see how the story ends.

A ScatteredThoughtsandRogueWords Review. This review can also be found here.

Daniel and Ryan get back to basics after an intense threesome.

I feel like this is going to be a short review because when you are reviewing the ninth book in a series you have almost certainly said everything you can about the things that define the series as a whole but sometimes when I write reviews I discover a whole hoard of thoughts while typing up so who knows.

This isn't my new favourite in the series and that makes me a little sad because unknowingly after reading the last one, which I thought for sure I would hate but in reality ended up loving, my expectations might have gone up, so this one was a little disappointing.

This story is one big scene, a very intense scene but a scene nonetheless. So there isn't much story development and this story reads as an effort to get back to basics after that insanely intense threesome. Also, Ryan kept bringing Brett up during the scene which was a little weird, to say the least. It didn't seem to be in character with Ryan to be insecure and considering how he flipped my entire view on the threesome with his perspective it was really off-putting. In fact, I felt like the author kept bringing up Brett to make it clear that that threesome hadn't changed the equation between Daniel and Ryan. But the thing is I already knew that and this felt like an unnecessary reminder.

All in all this story is a pretty good scene but the fact that it was following the story arc which has progressively seen more and more momentum in Daniel and Ryan's relationship was a bit of a letdown. The author has kind of been teasing the whole meet the family thing in the past two books and I really wanted more along that angle.

The next book seems to be more of a story rather than being based around a scene so I am curious to know where that takes us.

After having a great experience with bringing in a third, Ryan takes Daniel into a scene, determined to show him that not only is Ryan enough for Daniel, but can overwhelm him. Ryan pushes Daniel even farther than he ever has before. Daniel isn’t sure he can actually do what Ryan wants, but his greatest desire is to please Ryan and do as Ryan asks. And when the night is over, Daniel has experienced something deeper than he ever expected. And Ryan and Daniel finally put a name on their relationship.

Oh my goodness. This penultimate installment was the most erotic yet. And through it all, the connection between the MCs, the intimacy and passion, rose another notch. I can’t get over how very connected these guys are, and how it keeps growing, changing, and evolving. And, for me, the best part is that it’s not just about sex, but that the sex is truly another way to really express and reaffirm their relationship. And that moment when they finally defined it? Was absolutely perfect for the characters and wholly satisfying.

I love the scenes these two have! I never know what Ryan has planned next for Daniel. After the last scene, I think Ryan wants Daniel to know that he can overwhelm him all by himself. He definitely succeeded. That whole scene...wow. I know we're getting towards the end, but I can't get enough of these two.

I actually found this installment rather sweet. Ryan is extremely creative in the way that he asks/tells Daniel 'Am I enough for you/I am enough for you'. I really enjoy their relationship and look forward to each new release!

This is book nine in the Daniel And Ryan series. Another short installment which yet again lets us into the very personal sex life of our two main characters. I am always amazed as to how the author comes up with the scenes she writes for this couple. Daniel is a control freak who loves to be pushed to the very edge of his limits. Testing himself as to just how far he can go and then crossing that boundary, seeking both the pleasure and the praise from Ryan for how well he coped and performed.

Just when I don't see how the author can come up with new material, she not only drags the reader right smack bang into the middle of Daniel and Ryans D/s scene but she writes thought-provoking scenarios that are that bit different from the things you'll get anywhere else. Written with class, the scenes are never seedy and I personally almost feel like I'm intruding on something very personal.

Daniel puts himself in the capable hands of Ryan and has no idea what is going to be expected of him. Being pushed to the point of being over-sensitized yet still eager to please, Daniel is well and truly tested. I didn't find this book quite as sexy as the previous ones but I think that was testament to the writer's ability to make me feel like I was experiencing what Daniel was feeling and since his pleasure is both good and bad, I found myself occasionally wanting to use his safe word for him. With everything this couple goes through, it is plain to see them get closer and closer even if Daniel can be a little slow on the uptake. They are such interesting and complex characters with a great chemistry and one heck of a sex life. I get tired just reading about it. I can't wait to get my hands on their next chapter.
