Cece Rose is the proud owner of one dog, two cats, two turtles, and one annoying boyfriend.
She hails from Devon in the South-West of England, but dreams of sunny skies and sand between her toes. Although, whenever abroad, she'll moan about the heat and the sand that gets everywhere.
She has largely convinced all who know her that she's a vampire, mainly due to her nocturnal habits and tendency to bite. In reality, it's because her creativity only ever strikes when the sky is dark and the stars are shining. (Plus, it's actually quiet enough to concentrate on writing when everyone else in the world is sleeping.)
Okay, Selena is starting to bug me. She is just one big bundle of reactionary anger. Thinks nothing through, no other personality aside from that. And there isn't any real sign of an RH yet, though I am guessing there are a couple potentials. Really, we are less than 150 pages in, so I guess there hasn't been that much time for a ton, but with the format, this just feels frustrating as hell!
And it says Oct 2017 for the release of Part 4. Uh, nope.! March 2018, and nary a sign. :(
I will continue to read this if the rest ever comes out, because it is intriguing and I would like to see what is happening and get some resolution. But I will not be starting A N Y M O R E S E R I A L S !!!
Rejecting Fate is part 3 of the Fated Book Serial. I know I claim that each installment I read is my favorite, but that's my truth. Each episode is better than the last. Each episode takes us further down the rabbit hole that is the shifter world. Selena doesn't trust Cyrus, now she doesn't feel that she can trust Erik either. And when Adrian reappears with an offer to work together for a mutual cause, she isn't sure what to think. Add in the fact that she learns some baffling truths about herself and her mind is spinning. All she knows for certain is that she is her own person; she refuses to belong to anyone, and that she wants to find Melissa. Beyond that, she's lost.
Cece has outdone herself. This is a well-written mystery of a book. For each clue, there is a new puzzle. With each new character, another person to wonder about. I love Erik, I sympathize with Cyrus, Adrian is a wild card. Who do I lust for, who do I suspect of treachery? The fact that I am no closer to solving this story as I was during the first chapter of episode 1 has me enthralled. I impatiently await episode 4!
This is the third installment in a serial and the best one so far! With every book CeCe gives us one answer and at least two more questions. I need the next one right now. Thank goodness she cranks them out fast. Seriously can't wait for the next book!
I couldn't put it down!! Cece has continued to bait me in. Every time I get an question answered more pop up. I'm impatiently waiting the next release in this serial!!
Book three in this serial and I'm just getting pulled even more in to the story. As this is a serial, and so doesn't have many pages to draw you in, I have to say that credit definitely goes to the author for really getting me hooked so easily with only a few sentences in to each book so far.
In this third part of the serial, Lena seems to be growing in confidence, but I also think she is getting desperate to find her friend so is starting to make more and more rash decisions. The question is, what path will these decisions lead her down and will she stay safe?
I'd say that my only slight niggle with this third book is that I feel we keep on getting told things about Cyrus by other characters, but I feel that we haven't seen enough of Cyrus ourselves to make a decision. I really would like to learn a bit more about Cyrus from his POV in the next book. I would also like there to be a bit more interaction between Lena and Cyrus as I don't feel that she knows him enough to be taking such a negative stance against him.
Overall though I really enjoyed this book and think it fully deserves a five star rating. Like I've said, if an author can get me hooked from just a few sentences into a book then that author is one to watch and I'll be keeping a very close eye on Cece Rose and whatever she writes for us next. I'll also be keeping a beady eye out for the next book in this serial as I don't think I'll be able to patiently wait that long to find out what happens next.
Honestly, this is a serial and an author that I recommend you give a try.
*Possible Spoilers if you have not read the first two in the series* It is recommended that you read the series in order.
Rejecting Fate picks up where Twisted Fate leaves off, Lena has slipped away from Erik, who wanted to drug her in order to get her to safety in Seelie. Having overheard she ran. Meeting up with Erik at the Shiftz, Lena runs into Adrian, who wants Cyrus dead with help from Lena. Things take a different turn than expected when she discovers her fate is intertwined with Adrian's. Not wanting to give any spoilers, I can tell you that there is lots of planning, revalations made, a surprise, and things getting very interesting. Lena is trying to figure things out, who she can trust, finding her friend or what happened to her. Cyrus is trying to run his pack and find a way to convince Lena to give him a chance. Erik is being overprotective alpha and I am liking that more and more. While Adrian has his own agenda, using anything he can to make sure his plans come about. The epilogue was so good, I loved the point of view from Cyrus and Erik! I simply need more of this story!
Rejecting Fate is the third installment to the Fated serial by Cece Rose. This serial has kept me completely and utterly drawn in from the first page of part 1, we are not at part 3 and it still has not released me from its clutches.
Rejecting Fate once again follows Lena and her navigation through a world that he was not prepared for. This part of the serial focuses on mainly on developing the underlying story of the entire serial, as opposed to just focusing on Lena herself. That is not to say we still dont get some awesome Lena time, but we do also see a few new perspectives which i really think will open up other peoples opinions on who the bad guys and who the good guys are.
This episode constantly keeps you guess in all the good ways, one of the best things about Cece Rose is that she writes such an intricate mystery that you honestly cant pick who is who.
Cy remains my favourite character, and im praying for more of Cy!!! Adrian and Erik i am warming to, its taken me a while but i definitely am starting to like them a bit more and can see how they fit into Lena's life.
All in all i cannot wait to read the next one!!!!!
I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it
Part three and I am still loving this serial. Lena is fiesty and strong heroine who is following her own instincts, I love her strength and her compassion. I also still have no clue who the bad guy is and although it is driving me mad with curiosity it is also one of the things that I am loving about this book.
The story has POV from some of the other characters which I adore, I love reading stories and getting the perspective of the other characters. I love Erik he is a grouchy sweetheart, Cyrus has me intrigued and Adrien is also a conundrum
I am so enthralled with this serial, it has excitement, danger and plenty of intrigue and I am excitedly awaiting the next instalment. I highly recommend this book (and series) Cece is an amazing writer and everyone should read her work
Cece does a great job letting the reading think they know what is going to happen and then adding yet another twist into the story that leaves them rereading everything all over again! We get different perspectives in this installment, more so then we did in the other parts of the serial which I think is a good thing. It makes the readers sympathize with certain characters and start to question other characters you thought were one the good guys (don't want to give anything away so I have to be super vague haha).
I cant wait for Part 4 in October to see if we confirm any of the guys in Lena's harem and to see if we get any more clues as to the people hurting her. I liked seeing Lena lose control and start to shift and I cant wait to get more info on the people that were found by Cyrus's men!
Great installment. I felt like the previous two installments left me with a lot more questions than anything else. That's to be expected though, right? You've got to build the intrigue in a book. The whole point of a story is to make you have questions and seek the answers with the characters. This book gave us a lot of answers. Aaaaand a few more questions ;)
Lena hangs out with Adrian most of this part. But Erik's never too far gone, until he is. No spoilers.
There's finally a real plan forming (for multiple parties). Selena and Erik both see a good bit of growth in this book. Selena might actually be starting to get the hang of this whole shifter thing, there's hints of it anyway. Can't wait to see what becomes of that.
We also learn that Lena might be a little more special than she's been giving herself credit for. Can't wait to see how Fates collide.
In Part 3, things become clearer, but at the same time, the confusion builds! Lena is now on the run from Cyrus and Erik. She has a meeting with Aisa, the club owner who broke the rules, and learns some interesting information about herself but is too stubborn to try and understand. I feel bad for Lena as she is in this new world without a choice being given, surrounded by half truths and misinformation, every time she begins to trust someone they try to trick her for what they believe is her own protection. She just can't catch a break.
CeCe keeps you on the edge of your seat and has provided a huge puzzle for us to figure out. Too bad she's holding the box hostage so we can't see the picture that's forming!
Love this series! Very impatient for the next part!
I read the first book several months ago, hoping I would be able to read the whole series by the end of the year, but books four and five still aren't out😩. I'm waiting, quite impatiently for them, as this is such an intriguing series. I just know there's going to be a big twist - especially given the prologues of books one and two. Selena has been dealt kind of a crap deal, after being bitten and turned by an alpha wolf shifter. But as of now, she's only getting one side of the story, granted it is from someone who seems to genuinely care about her and enemies of her "kidnapper" mate. I just can't wait to find out the rest of the story!
I received this as an ARC in return for an honest review.
This is the third installment of the Fate serial. We discover a little more each episode but I am still left with so many questions. Who is the bad guy here? Have we already met them? Is it Erik playing pretend? It is Cyrus doing what he needs to in order to keep his pack alive? Is it Adrian, the new character? So many questions and so few chapters. You end up with more questions than answers, in the best way. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Rejecting fate is the third part of this serial and I love it. This story keeps getting better. I find myself sifting through every part of the story, searching for clues. I think I'm on the right track to working out pieces of this puzzle, but going to hold on to my theory to myself. I wish I could see in to Cece mind, even just for a moment, to see if I am on the right path. I seriously can't wait to read more of this story. The next part can't come out soon enough. She really has me hooked and wanting to find out the results.
I can not stand serials. Mostly because to me it's similar to stuff you write in high school (not the topics but the shortness) or starting out in college. I do love serials that are offered as a short and easy way to do a follow up with characters from a previous book. But I didn't read that these were serials before I grabbed the first one. I gave the whole collection so far 3 stars because although this story has lots of potential, it falls short because of how short it is but it is rather intriguing and leaves me wanting to know what happens.
Great Read (but all 3 do not make up a whole book)
Loved reading these books, however I am a little disappointed they are so short and also there is not an ending!!! So you will kind of feel like you have been left hanging. You bring the characters into your heart eager for the next book, then nothing even though the next book should be out 2017. For me it’s a lesson learned, I will check in future that the series is complete before starting to read and I would suggest you do the same.
Awesome installment to this serial. This story definitely keeps you guessing... and I pride myself as being someone who can figure out stories pretty well. Cece, if you're reading this, I need more. I need answers. I need super happy fun times. But mostly answers. I do definitely recommend this story though, I love the plot and the characters, and the way it is written is interesting and keeps you guessing. Start at the beginning though, because otherwise you'll be guessing too much.
Running away with an unknown lone wolf without giving your mate or your friend a chance to explain themselves is about a pinnacle of idiocy and hardheadedness. All brutality and future problems arising from it are just a simple and foreseeable consequence of impulsive and downright stupid decisions without investing situations and people first. I have no patience to read about idiots - too common in real life.
I don’t usually start serials unless they are finished so I can read them one after the other. My mistake was thinking this was a completed serial, now I’m hooked and waiting for the next instalment. Lena is sucked into a world of shifters, fates to be mated to a wolf she barely knows and has no reason to trust. She needs to find out what has happened to her best friend Melissa and to do that she aligns herself with other shifters to escape and do just that.
This is pretty bad. This is the third part of a serial but it's so disjointed. I don't know what the storyline is, the characters are quite annoying and I don't know how you're creating a reverse harem plot with no chemistry between the characters. I wasted my 10 minutes reading these 3 parts.
First of all.... I really wanted to like this. I stopped reading it more than half way through. The characters are not likeable. And I have zero sympathy for a drug dealer. That totally took my interest and curiosity down to a nonexistent level. This author is brilliant, but this story left me really not feeling excited to continue on.
Cece is killing me with this one. Each time she gives you just enough to drive you crazy! It's not very often that I don't know what's going to happen after reading a couple chapters but I have no clue on this. I'm scared to like anyone bc I don't know who's going to turn out to be the bad guy!!!
Cece has me all twisted up!!! On one hand I'm in love with this series on the other hand I wanna shake her and who is the bad guy 😭😭😭 Serial three had me hooked and I love the flashbacks we get as well 😍😍😍 A MUST READ!
I love this serial! I feel like we're really starting to get into it now with more details about different characters, but I feel like a twist is coming! Pick up this serial now you won't be disappointed!! Can't wait for number 4!
This third installment continues to to deliver with suspense and awe! Some answers are revealed - and look out, I did not see that coming! - but do they just warrant more questions? Of course they do and it's amazing! I can't wait to see what happens next! Another great serial by Rose.
I want more, like yesterday! Can't wait for the fourth installment! Worst. Tease. Ever! Gottahaveitneeditwantit I'm digging the characters and storyline, just hate that I'm only getting it in chunks...keep up the great work!
Rejecting Fate is a great addition to the Fated series and I can't wait for more.... But I have to stop reading these serials, they drive me nuts...especially when they're this good and the next installment isn't out yet!
I love it . But I'm stuck wondering....where's the rest of the series? It said it was released in 2017. But it's now 2019 . CeCe can I get the rest of the story please! Don't leave me hanging
